Prophetic Words & Scripture Readings August 21

Aug 21, 2019

Scripture reading at the beginning of meeting – Psalm 29:1-2 – “Give to the Lord, you sons of God, give to the Lord glory and praise.  Give to the Lord the glory due his name; adore the Lord in holy attire.”

Vision/prophecy:  “We were giving drops of water to withered flowers in a field.  Those flowers were so much in darkness and despair and we gave them just a drop of water.  They tasted that water of heaven and all of a sudden, there was a downpour of rain drops of love, showered from heaven upon them.  And the Lord wants us to be gentle in love and yet firm in our faith.  Don’t be afraid to speak the truth in love to those souls who desperately need just a drop of hope from our lips, from our lives into theirs.”

Prophecy:  “Yes, my children, I love you.  I’m embracing you.  I’m coming close to you, my dearest, dearest children.  Oh, I love to see you here praising, magnifying my name because it gives me an opportunity to bless you, to embrace you, to fill you deeply again with myself.  I give myself to you, my dearest children.”

Prophecy:  “Understand, I want you to understand that when you read the Scripture, it’s my word spoken.  The Spirit has revealed my word in the Scripture.  Understand this.  Go to the Scripture.  Follow the teaching in the written word.  Live by it.  Trust me.  I am faithful to my word and I will lead you and guide you.  Be strong in the word.  Be faithful to my word and trust me for I am faithful.  Trust me.”

Scripture reading Luke 12:22 – “Jesus said to the disciples, “And so I tell you not to worry about the food you eat to stay alive or about the clothes you need for your body. Life is much more important than food and your body much more important than clothes.””

Prophecy:  “I sense the Lord saying, “Sometimes the answer is not a specific course of action, knowing exactly what to say but it is to receive my presence and to be amazed by my love, to see my beauty and to be moved by the goodness of my heart.””

“Scripture does not hinder us.  Scripture give us the freedom to live as sons and daughters of God, our Father.”

“The Lord put it upon my heart that we must know Scripture, that we speak the truth and one of the ways to freedom.  Freedom is not being able to do whatever we want but freedom is free to be free to do the right thing and we know the right thing through Scripture.”

“I came across a quote this past week that is appropriate here:  If your bible is falling apart, chances are, your life isn’t.”

Teaching

Parable of the Sower and the Seed by Lori Ann.  God throws seed everywhere.  We should do the same.  We need to be busy growing and then busy sowing.  Can we bend with the wind?  A Christian is one dying to self and surviving among the weeds.

Someone shared a prayer by St. Faustina.  “Oh, my God, when I look into the future, I am frightened.  But, why plunge into the future?  Only the present moment is precious to me, as the future may never enter my soul at all.  It is no longer in my power, to change, correct or add to the past; for neither sages nor prophets could do that.  And so, what the past has embraced I must entrust to God.  O present moment, you belong to me, whole and entire.  I desire to use you as best I can.  And although I am weak and small, you grant me the grace of your omnipotence.  And so, trusting in your mercy, I walk through life like a little child, offering you each day this heart burning with love for your greater glory.”  This prayer has helped this person to forgive.

Teaching on August 28/19 – video presentation by Fr. Benedict Groeschel – the presentation includes his brush with death – 27 minutes with no vital signs.

Life in the Spirit Seminar starts September 11.  This is a good chance to sow some seeds.
