Prophetic Words & Scripture Readings at Live Stream September 28, 2022

Sep 29, 2022

At beginning of meeting, Scripture Reading Isaiah 43:1-3 - "Fear not for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name; you are mine!  When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; in the rivers, you shall not drown.  When you walk through fire, you shall not be burned, the flame shall not consume you.  For I am the Lord your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior;"

Jesus, always be with us.

Scripture Reading John 8:2-29 - "Jesus said, 'When you lift up the Son of Man, then you will know that I am He, and I do nothing on my own initiative, but I say these things as the Father taught me.  And He who sent me is with me; He has not left me alone, for I always do the things that are pleasing to him.'"

Prayer  - "Heavenly Father, when 2 or 3 are gathered, you are there in our midst.  We now place ourselves under the cross of Jesus Christ and cover ourselves with the Precious Blood of Jesus.  We surround ourselves with the light of Christ and say, 'In the name of Jesus that nothing shall interfere with the Lord's work being accomplished in our lives.  Heavenly Father, restore any way that Satan has a hold on our lives.  We let go of all those ways now.  Any territory we have handed over to Satan, we now reclaim and place under the lordship of Jesus Christ.'"

Words of Knowledge - He's going to heal a woman of a concussion, heal someone of pancreatic cancer.  Someone who has injuries from an accident, will be healed; healing of a sore foot; healing of a knee replacement and a fractured knee; healing of a trachea, healing of severe headaches.  Someone will get a job.

Guillaine - "I have sore feet.  I receive the healing in Jesus' name."

Confirmation of reading from Isaiah, about fear.  Pat shared that she has problems with fear at times and she was getting fearful about a daughter's wedding coming up.  It woke her up during the night.  Pat stood on the Word.  She said that God hasn't given her a spirit of fear, but one of power and love and a sound mind; and she prayed in tongues for about an hour.  She fell back asleep.  When she woke up this morning, she felt good.  All the anxiety and fear was gone.

Scripture Reading Job 42:1-5 - "Then Job answered the Lord.  I know, Lord, that you are all-powerful; that you can do everything you want.  You ask how I dare question your wisdom when I am so very ignorant.  I talked about things I did not understand, about marvels too great for me to know.  You told me to listen while you spoke and to try to answer your questions.  In the past I knew only what others had told me, but now I have seen you with my own eyes.  So I am ashamed of all I have said and repent in dust and ashes."

Scripture Reading James 4:16 - "As it is, you boast and brag.  All such boasting is evil.  Anyone, then,  who knows the good he ought to do and doesn't do it, sins."

Scripture Reading John 8:31-32 - "To those Jews who believed in him, Jesus said, 'If you make my word your home, you will indeed be my disciples; you will come to know the truth, and the truth will set you free.'"

Teaching

A video teaching by Fr. Mike Schmitz, "You Must Fight For Heaven".  Someone asked Jesus, "Lord, will many or only a few be saved?  Jesus' answer is not a number; his answer is, "Here's what you need to do."  The word Jesus used was "strive'.  You're going to have to fight for it.  Jesus said that many will attempt to enter heaven, but won't be strong enough.  Two truths about striving: 1) No one automatically gets heaven.  2) No one can earn heaven.  Salvation is a "gift".  We have to choose heaven.  Two lies about striving:  1) Discomfort is dangerous.  Need to strive for heaven with gazelle-like intensity.  Some things are worth fighting for.  Is heaven worth fighting for?  The word Jesus uses for the word "strive",  is "agonize".  2) Harder is holier or harder equals holier.  The whole point is not how difficult the road is; the whole point is where that road leads to.  What does Jesus say to those who are knocking on the door?  In one Gospel account, he says, "I don't know you."  In other words, "I don't have a relationship with you."  All this striving, agony is oriented to knowing him, becoming like him, doing what he did which is doing the Father's will.  Fruit of difficulty is peaceful fruit of righteousness (which means right relationship) to those who are trained by it.  We are being trained in trust.  The video teaching was followed by a song, "My Worth Is Not In What I Own".

Sharing Time

Fr. Michael suggested that we look up "The Parable of the Lighthouse" on the internet.

 Praise Report

David thanked God for bringing his Mom and Dad (Richard & Natalie) safely to Nashville.

Leslie praised the Lord that she returned safely from her 8-day trip to Trinidad.  She was very apprehensive before she left, especially hearing about delays at the airports.  Everything went well.  There were no delays, no line ups, etc.  That was the result of all the prayers.

Maria K. praised God that she will be able to be with us on the last Wednesday of every month as the practices for the singing group were moved to the last Thursday.
