Scripture Reading Psalm 62:6-9 - "My soul, be at rest in God alone, from whom comes my hope.  God alone is my rock and my salvation, my secure height; I shall not fall.  My safety and glory are with God, my strong rock and refuge.  Trust God at all times, my people!  Pour out your hearts to God our refuge!"

Scripture Reading 1 Cor 13:1-3 - "If I have all the eloquence of men or of angels, but speak without love, I am simply a gong booming or a cymbal clashing.  If I have the gift of prophecy, understanding all the mysteries there are, and knowing everything, and if I have faith in all its fullness, to move mountains, but without love, then I am nothing at all.  If I give away all that I possess, piece by piece, and if I even let them take my body to burn it, but am without love, it will do me no good whatever."

Scripture Reading Isaiah 44:21-24 - "The Lord says, "Israel, remember this; remember that you are my servant.  I created you to be my servant and I will never forget you.  I have swept your sins away like a cloud.  Come back to me; I am the one who saves you."  Shout for joy, you heavens!  Shout, deep places of the earth!  Shout for joy, mountains, and every tree of the forest!  The Lord has shown his greatness by saving his people Israel.  I am the Lord, your saviour; I am the one who created you.  I am the Lord, the Creator of all things.  I alone stretched out the heavens; when I made the earth, no one helped me."

Scripture Reading Psalm 9:1-2 - "I will give thanks to the Lord with my whole heart; I will tell of all your wonderful deeds.  I will be glad and exult in you; I will sing praise to your name, O Most High."

Prophecy - "My children, I love you so deeply that I have given you my voice, my voice to speak to my people of my love.  I have given you my heart, my heart for you to be kind and to be understanding, compassionate and merciful.  I have given you my hands and my feet that they, too, may minister to my people who are in need.  Tonight, my children, I am asking something different of you.  I'm asking you to come to me as one of those little ones.  Come to me.  Sit on my lap.  Tell me your story.  Come with your fears.  Tell me your joys, tell me your disappointments.  Talk to me about your grief, your wants and your needs.  I am your Father.  I love you and I want to hear what you have to say.  No matter what people may tell you, that I do not hear; that is false.  I hear, my children.  I hear, my children, and I desire that their needs are met, not their wants so much as their needs.  My answer may be, "Yes."  My answer may be, "No."  My answer may be, "Wait."  But trust in me, my children, do not fear.  Come to me with all of your burdens and your cares and I will minister to you; I promise I will minister to you my hope, my comfort, my love.  Trust in me, my children,"

Scripture Reading Hosea 2 - "That is why I am going to lure her and lead her out into the wilderness and speak to her heart.  There she will respond to me as she did when she was young, as she did when she came out of the Land of Egypt.  I will betroth you to myself for ever, betroth you with integrity and justice, with tenderness and love; I will betroth you to myself with faithfulness, and you will come to know Yahweh."

Scripture Reading Psalm 62:1-2, Hope in God Alone - "In God alone there is rest for my soul, from him comes my safety; with him alone for my rock, my safety, my fortress, I can never fall."

Scripture Reading Psalm 122:6-7 - "I pray for the peace of Jerusalem, may they prosper who love you, the holy city!  May peace be within your walls and prosperity within your palaces!

Confirmation - I confirm the prophecy.  When we were singing, the thought came to me, "What would it be like to jump on God's lap?"

Confirmation/Prophecy - I just wanted to share much the same kind of a thought.  As we were singing, "Let me be a sweet, sweet child on your knee," I thought the Lord was saying this is an image he would like us to have in our thoughts every morning when we say our prayers:  a little child sitting on Daddy's knee, letting him comfort us and hold us, keep us safe, etc."

Scripture Reading Isaiah 41:14 & Confirmation - "Do not be afraid, Jacob, poor worm, Israel, puny mite.  I will help you - it is Yahweh who speaks - the Holy One of Israel is your redeemer."   I, also, confirm about sitting on God's lap.  As we were singing, a thought - I miss my sister so much and I wanted confirmation that she's with him.  Those words comforted me.

Prophecy - "My beautiful children, how proud I am of you.  You are all sitting on my knee.  You are all my beautiful children, little children, because you are obedient, because you listen to my word, because you act on my word.  You will be greatly blessed!  You will be greatly rewarded.  So many souls are dependent on you, on your prayers, on your sacrifices.  My little ones, I am so pleased.  I will be coming soon and I thank you that you have been instruments of my love.  So many will recognize me through you, through all your sharing, through all your prayers.  Their eyes will be opened; their ears will be opened.  They will hear my voice and recognize me.  I am so pleased with you.  You have done exactly what I have called you to do.  I am the great I AM."

Prophecy - I had a strong sense as we were hearing God's word that he wants us to be overwhemed by his love, just to let it pour over us, in any hurt, any wound.  It's like a balm that just pours over us, covers everything, takes away stress, takes away pain, takes away hurt, takes away suffering.  We can totally rest in his arms, totally rest on his lap, totally be that child to his presence.  The other thought was to think of a time when you held a child on your lap, baby, young child; and that child turned to you; you smiled and how it just filled you up and how it filled up that child.  That's what God wants for each of us.  He wants us to have that childlike approach when we look in his eyes and he looks back in ours and it's this communication of love that we cannot even put in words and we don't have to.  That's what God wants for us, tonight.

Confirmation/Prophecy - I believe this word that I just got from the Lord confirms everything that was just said.  Simply put, the Lord says to all of us, "My children, believe me, I love you, I love you, I love you."

Confirmation of prophecies - It was what I felt.  I felt so loved by the Lord.

Teaching

St. Ignatius of Loyola - "Discerning Life's Journey".  1491- 1556.  Founder of the religious order, Companions of Jesus, later abbreviated to Jesuits.  At age of 30, he was wounded in his last military battle.  He spent many painful months recuperating.  After reading all the novels that were available, he was forced to read the lives of the Saints.  He was spellbound and he fell in love with Christ.  Later, he had powerful religious experiences.  St. Ignatius wanted to help souls on their journey towards God.  His greatest gift to us were the Spiritual Exercises.  The exercises have a four-period process.  1) Become aware of your own sinfulness, brokenness, fraility and somehow to know, that despite that, maybe because of it, you are loved by God.  2) Reflect more on the life of Christ.  To recognize that Jesus reveals the face of God to us, reflecting on the Gospels, becoming more aware of the life of Christ, entering deeply into what baptized means for you, exploring the feelings and emotions that you have.  3) Enables the retreatant to try and enter into the passion and death of Jesus.  What's that about?  What does it really mean?  And maybe to explore your own sense of death, your loss.  What is it that you need to let go of?  To try and make sense of all the little deaths that happen in our own lives.  4) Enter into an experience of resurrection.  The Pauline expression that life always follows death.  What's that all about?  The Gospels are important in this process to reflect on what the early evangelists were saying about this written Jesus and who he was and hoping to arrive at a place where you experience that truth for yourself.  Ignatius believed that God has a vision and a dream for every human person.  Silence and reflection is important.  What we can do is take 5 minutes of quiet every day and let God be God.

Praise Reports

Pat thanked the Lord for getting her husband through the shunt operation and now is in a different hospital for rehab.

Last week we had prayed for Drew who had been in a motorcycle accident whose original prognosis was quadriplegic, never walk again.  Drew started moving his limbs the next day.  And now the prognosis is he will fully recover.  Praise God!!  Steve, the father, wanted everyone to know how much they treasure the prayers, how much they glorify God and give thanks for everyone in this group for praying for Drew.  He has a tough road ahead but he will fully recover.
