Prophetic Words & Scripture Readings at Live Stream May 8, 2024

May 09, 2024

The following are words given by participants at the streamed meeting.  1 Corinthians 14:29 says that "Two or three prophets should speak, and the others weigh carefully what is said."  1 Thess 5:19-21 tells us not to despise prophecies, but to test everything and retain what is good.

At beginning of meeting, Scripture Reading Isaiah 45:5-6 - "I am the Lord; there is no other god.  I will give you the strength you need, although you do not know me.  I do so that everyone from one end of the world to the other may know that I am the Lord and that there is no other god."

Scripture Reading 1 John 4:7-12 - "Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God.  The one who does not love does not know God, for God is love.  By this the love of God was manifested in us, that God has sent his only begotten Son into the world so that we might live through him.  In this is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.  Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.  No one has seen God at any time; if we love one another, God abides in us, and his love is perfected in us."

Scripture Reading Isaiah 64:10 - 65:1 - "Your holy cities have become a wilderness, Zion has become a wilderness, Jerusalem a desolation.  Our holy and beautiful house, where our ancestors praised you, has been burned by fire, and all our pleasant places have become ruins.  After all this, will you restrain yourself, O Lord?  Will you keep silent, and punish us so severely?  I was ready to be sought out by those who did not ask, to be found by those who did not seek me.  I said, "Here I am, here I am," to a nation that did not call on my name."

Scripture Reading Isaiah 51:15-16 - "I am the Lord your God; I stir up the sea and make its waves roar.  My name is the Lord Almighty!  I stretched out the heavens and laid the earth's foundations; I say to Jerusalem, "You are my people!  I have given you my teaching, and I protect you with my hand.""

Prophecy - "My name is all powerful and there's nothing that I can't do for you and there is nothing that I don't want to do for you.  Just ask.  I love you."

Teaching

The teaching was entitled, "Advancing the Kingdom".  Fr. Mathias Thelen talked about how he came to know that there was "more" that God wanted to do through him by the power of the Holy Spirit.  At first, he wondered if this was real or not.  He didn't know that this stuff was possible.  He was judging himself when he thought he was not worthy to have God do these things, (healings, etc.), through him.  Then he realized that God created him to be a man for others, a man who was willing to step out and pray and allow God to do his thing.  Fr. remembered that God can do extraordinary things in his weakness; that he was called to advance God's kingdom.  None of us are disqualified from sharing the Gospel.

Fr. Mathias wanted to see more healings and so he sought to learn more.  In the book by Randy Clark, "There is More", Randy writes that when he prays for people to have a greater share in the anointing of God for signs, wonders and miracles in their lives, for prophetic gifts, for leadership gifts, etc., they do incredible things for the Kingdom of God.  What Randy believes, is that the anointing in one person's life is being shared unto another person's life.  He calls it, "Impartation".  In Scripture, there are examples of this happening.  i.e. Elisha asks for a double portion of the Spirit from Elijah and Elisha does double the miracles that Elijah did.

We, as Christians, know that the foundation of our life is Jesus giving us an impartation of his life in the Holy Spirit; that we will do the works of Jesus and even greater works (John 14:12-14).  We believe in a God of abundance.

As Fr. learned more, he was so hungry.  He went to a conference where Damian Stayne, a lay Catholic evangelist with a ministry of prophecy, physical healing and miracles, was speaking.  Fr. Mathias prayed for an impartation; whatever was in Damian's life, Fr. wanted.  Fr. experienced electricity throughout his body.  After that time, the anointing in his life increased when he prayed for people.

So, there's more!  Fr. Mathias started praying for the impartation of the Spirit upon others; and it happened!  They witnessed the Spirit working through them in power.

Fr. Brian Gross, a priest from the diocese of Bismarck, ND, had been to one of Fr. Mathias' conferences.  He shared what happened in his life.  He said that a priest's greatest suffering is the people he sees in his parish who don't practice their faith.  That can lead a priest into one of Satan's greatest weapons, discouragement.  And then, you become as a priest, a kind of one who does the things you're supposed to do, and you just kind of let it be.  Fr. Brian was not going to let it happen to him and so he was praying, "Lord, what do I do?"  In 2017, at an Easter Vigil, he felt that God was not there.  Then 2 parishioners came to him and said the same thing.  This frightened him.

The following week, he got an e-mail from Encounter Ministries, Fearless Documentary (a documentary on the Holy Spirit and Evangelization).  He hadn't subscribed to them but he felt that he had to watch it.  He freaked out a bit but he felt that the Lord had answered his prayer and was showing him what to do.  He went on their website and saw that there was an Encounter Conference coming up in Ann Arbor, Christ the King.  He felt he was supposed to go to that.

Standing in the back, he wondered if this was from God.  Hour after hour at the conference, Jesus confirmed in him that this is it.  Fr. Brian was desperate as a priest and Jesus answered his desperation.  Fr. Ricardo came to speak and knelt down and asked for prayer; that he would do what Jesus would want him to do.  An image popped into Fr. Brian's head, something that had never happened before.  It  was a heart being sliced up by a scalpel.  Fr. Brian thought that this image was off the wall.  Fr. Ricardo stood up and said that Jesus wanted him to talk about how he wanted to take a scalpel to their heart.  Fr. Brian had received a Word of Knowledge.

The next day,  Fr. Brian was standing at the back of the church next to the confessional.  Someone came up to him asked if he would hear his confession.  As he was walking into the confessional, he heard the Lord say, "You are going to be here a long time."  For two and a half hours, people came to the confessional and the Lord gave Fr. Brian a word for each one of them.

Fr. Brian said, "There a lot of priests who want this.  Satan doesn't want this for priests.  Don't judge your pastor for not having this.  You need to pray for him."

Fr. Matthias ended the session by saying to the people, "Allow yourself to be desperate.  Asking for more of God comes from a place of humility, to know that there is more.  We may have life and there are people who are desperate for that.  We need to allow ourselves to enter into his courts with praise and thanksgiving for the more that is available for each of us.  Whatever it takes, that the Kingdom of God might advance, that Jesus Christ will be made King of this world."
