Prophetic Words & Scripture Readings at Live Stream May 1, 2024

May 02, 2024

The following are words given by participants at the streamed meeting.  1 Corinthians 14:29 says that "Two or three prophets should speak, and the others weigh carefully what is said."  1 Thess 5:19-21 tells us not to despise prophecies, but to test everything and retain what is good.

At beginning of meeting, Scripture Reading John 15 - "I am the vine, and you are the branches.  Those who abide in me and I in them bear much fruit because apart from me you can do nothing.  By this is my Father glorified that you bear much fruit and become my disciples."

Scripture Reading Matthew 8:5-13 - "When he entered Capernaum, a centurion came to him, appealing to him and  saying, "Lord, my servant is lying at home paralyzed, in terrible distress."  And he said to him, "I will come and heal him."  The centurion answered, "Lord, I am not worthy to have you come under my roof, but only speak the word and my servant will be healed.  For I am also a man under authority with soldiers under me.  And I say to one, 'Go,' and he goes, and to another, 'Come,' and he comes, and to my slave, 'Do this,' and the slave does it."  When Jesus heard him, he was amazed and said to those who followed him, "Truly, I tell you, in no one in Israel have I found such faith.  I tell you, many will come from east and west and they will eat with Abraham and Isaac and Jacob in the kingdom of heaven, while their heirs of the kingdom will be thrown into the outer darkness.  There, there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth."  And to the centurion, Jesus said, "Go, let it be done for you according to your faith."  And the servant was healed in that hour."

Scripture Reading Romans 12:2 - "Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect."

Scripture Reading Luke 12:22-28 - "For this reason I say to you, do not worry about your life, as to what you will eat; nor for your body, as to what you will put on.  For life is more than food, and the body more than clothing.  Consider the ravens, for they neither sow nor reap; they have no storeroom nor barn, and yet God feeds them; how much more valuable you are than the birds!  And which of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life's span?  If then you cannot do even a very little thing, why do you worry about other matters?  Consider the lilies, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin; but I tell you, not even Solomon in all his glory clothed himself  like one of these.  But if God so clothes the grass in the field, which is alive today and tomorrow is thrown into the furnace, how much more will he clothe you?"

Prophecy - "My children, do you believe that I am a God of love?  Do you believe that I care about every single detail of your life?  My children, I want you to know that I am with you every step of the way, every moment of the day.  All you need to do is turn to me.  Some question, "How do I know that you are present?"  My children, I tell you, you will know that I am present whenever you experience a heat of love, whenever you experience a form of peace and tranquility, whenever you are filled with laughter and joy and peace.  These are the fruits of my Holy Spirit, and through these fruits, you will come to recognize my presence in your life.  Tonight, I'm asking you to open up your hearts and your minds to my presence in the Holy Spirit.  Ask, and you will receive; seek and you will find, for I desire that your needs be met.  I desire that you will come to fruition of faith, of truth and of love."

Prophecy - "My children, I would like to forgive your sins tonight, if you ask me to.  Sin stops you from being blessed and forgiven and healed.  Tonight, I offer this gift of forgiveness if you truly repent.  If you truly repent of your sins, I am here, my children.  Ask me."

Prophetic sense - "When one of the songs was playing, there was a picture of the Good Shepherd, of Jesus with all the sheep around him.  But what struck me was, he was carrying a little lamb in his arms, and that image really spoke to me because it showed me that even though all the sheep were gathered Jesus, he knows which one needs his loving care at the moment.  And that could be any one of us at any time where Jesus would pick us up and hold us because that's what we need."

Prophetic sense - "I just had a word about today's reading which said to bear much fruit.  I just felt to expand on that, like we can all bear fruit.  You don't have to go looking for it but just simple things like:  a smile can bring somebody joy, a kind word or even a telephone call to somebody who's lonely."

Teaching

Fr. Mathias Thelen spoke on the power of the Word of God, and healing.  He then demonstrated by having a healing session.  Fr. Mathias felt that God wanted to clarify the identity of who he is.  When he reveals himself in Jesus, he is a God who is good and his goodness is for us, to deliver us from evil, from the sin that broke our relationship with him, and from death which has enslaved us.  The kingdom of God is here.  In Matthew, Mark and Luke, Jesus is commanding his disciples to not just speak about the kingdom, but he's calling them to demonstrate and express that message.  It is Jesus' idea to pray for the sick.

Luke 9 & 10 - Jesus sent them out to preach and to heal.  Matthew - "Jesus called the twelve to himself and says, 'And preach as you go, saying, the kingdom of heaven is at hand.  Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse lepers, cast out demons.  You received without pay, give without pay.'

Mark - "He who believes and is baptized will be saved, he who does not believe will be condemned.  And these signs will accompany those who believe."  It doesn't say, "These signs will accompany very super anointed Catholic evangelists or very special people."  And then it says, "Those who believe will lay their hands on the sick and they will recover.  And they went forth and preached everywhere while the Lord worked with them, confirmed the message by the signs that attended it."

Fr. Mathias said that at one of his healing sessions was a man who wanted to become a Catholic because he saw that Jesus was really who he said he was.  He saw the healings.  The kingdom of God is HERE.  Signs are meant to get us to respond to God.  These signs are given so that we might know who he is, and ultimately who we are.  Fr. Mathias shared testimonies of healings at recent healing sessions.

Jesus says when you pray, "pray on earth as it is in heaven," "your kingdom come on earth as it is in heaven."  When the church receives the power of the Holy Spirit, she receives the ability to pray that God's will be done on earth as it is in heaven."  Pope Benedict said, "Faith is the substance that draws the reality of heaven into this world."  We know that when we pray in faith, God shows up.  God wants to display his goodness.

Matthew 9 - Compassion of Jesus.  Jesus is healing people.  Vs. 35 - "Jesus went about all the cities  and villages, teaching in the synagogues and preaching the gospel of the kingdom and healing every disease and every infirmity."  It says when he saw the crowds, he had compassion for them because they were harassed and helpless like sheep without a shepherd.  He longs for them to know the Father's love for them.  He calls the twelve and gives them authority over unclean spirits to cast them out to heal every disease and every infirmity.  Out of compassion, Jesus shares with us the commission to pray for the sick, to preach the gospel; and when healing breaks out, people know with clarity what kind of God this is.  He is a God who is for us, not against us.  Jesus has commissioned each one of us to represent him well.

Fr. Mathias led a healing session to teach us how to do it.  At a healing session, Fr. Mathias first has a prayer of repentance, of surrender.  He tells the people to focus on Jesus and his goodness, his presence.  Allow him to do what he promised to do.  Come as a child.

Prayer of surrender to the Lordship of Jesus - "  Jesus, I believe in your love.  I believe that you are here.  I believe that you have forgiven me of my sins.  I believe that you are good.  I give you my life to you right now and I give you permission to reveal your goodness to me, to show me once more who you are.  I thank you, Lord, and I praise you."

He, then, asks for the Holy Spirit to come:  "Come, Holy Spirit," "More, Lord God."  And people start getting healed.  Some get healed as Fr. speaks without anyone laying hands on them.  When Fr. mentions a condition, know that the power of God to heal that condition is available.

The second way that Fr. prays is through the power of testimony.  He believes that the witness of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.  When people testify to what God has done, that is an invitation for him to do that again.

The third way that Fr. prays is through Words of Knowledge.  This is when God reveals to Fr. certain conditions that he wants to heal.  Fr. Mathias calls this a heat seeking missile.  When Fr. speaks that Word of Knowledge, there is a choice that a person has to make:  whether or not to believe that is for them or not.  Fr. has found that those who respond, when they stand up and try to do what they couldn't before, that they receive healing.

Another way is that Fr. does a Word of Command.  In Christ, we have authority over sickness.  A Word of Command is like a nuclear detonation of God's love and power.  That's when Fr. sees the majority of people experience healing.

Also, they have individual prayer teams for those who have not received healing from other ways.
