Prophetic Words & Scripture Readings at Live Stream March 6, 2024

Mar 07, 2024

The following are words given by participants at the streamed meeting.  1 Corinthians 14:29 says that "Two or three prophets should speak, and the others weigh carefully what is said."  1 Thess 5:19-21 tells us not to despise prophecies, but to test everything and retain what is good.

Scripture Reading Matthew 24:4-14 - "Jesus answered , "Beware that no one leads you astray.  For many will come in my name, saying, 'I am the Messiah!' and they will lead many astray.  And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars; see that you are not alarmed; for this must take place, but the end is not yet.  For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and there will be famines and earthquakes in various places; all this is but the beginning of the birth pangs.  Then they will hand you over to be tortured and will put you to death, and you will be hated by all nations because of my name.  Then many will fall away, and they will betray one another and hate one another.  And many false prophets will arise and lead many astray.  And because of the increase of lawlessness, the love of many will grow cold.  But the one who endures to the end will be saved.  And this good news of the kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the world, as a testimony to all the nations; and then the end will come."

Prophecy - "Do you believe that I am The I AM?  Do you believe that I am The I AM?   Later in the meeting the following was shared:  Upon reflecting upon this word, what the Lord put upon my heart is that even though there's so many of us in prayer meeting, we also have families that are not part of the prayer meeting.  There's so many people that are doubting that God exists because of what's going on in the world.  The Lord is saying, "Do you believe that I am The I AM," and that he is in control.  He knows exactly what's going on.  Our job is to continue praying and believing, and especially praying for people who are doubting that God is God and that he is in control and that he's not the one that is causing wars.  He's not the one causing all the illnesses.  But he's waiting for us to believe in him and to believe that he is in control.

Scripture Reading Phil 4:4-7 - "Rejoice in the Lord always.  Again I will say, rejoice.  Let your gentle spirit be known to all men.  The Lord is near.  Be anxious for nothing but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your request be made known to God.  And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your heart and your mind in Christ Jesus."

Confirmation - I can confirm that word.  Right before you spoke, God said, "Feel my peace."  And then you spoke that word.  I definitely feel God is wanting us to hear that word.  That was actually reflected in the Scripture reading from Matthew 24 as well.  When you see all this turmoil, look to me.  Keep your eye on me.

The prayer that you said at the beginning: "O Jesus, I surrender myself to you.  Take care of everything."  I just sense, are we truly surrendering, because I know I have trouble with that myself.  Are we really surrendering ourselves to the Lord?  and asking him to take care of everything.  But if we're holding onto worry and anxiety which I tend to, we're not allowing him to take care of everything.  Short as it is, that prayer is very meaningful.

Scripture Reading Romans 5:1-6 - "Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom also we have obtained our introduction by faith into this grace in which we stand; and we exult in hope of the glory of God.  And not only this, but we also exult in our tribulations, knowing that tribulation brings about perseverance; and perseverance, proven character, and proven character hope; and hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out within our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us.  For while we were still helpless, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly."

I guess what moved me in the songs was, "The reason I live is to worship you."  And then in one of the other songs, "I don't want to worship from afar.  Draw me near to where you are."  I know we all try hard to be close to God, but he still has to be the one that draws us.

Scripture Reading Luke 21:28 - "When you see all these things happening, lift up your heads and know that your salvation is at hand."

Teaching

Valerie shared her testimony which she entitled, "To Be Known".  Childhood:  went to Sunday Mass as a family, Grandma praying the Rosary.  At some point in her life, her faith wasn't a big part; not a focus of much of what she was doing.  In 2013 when her Dad was diagnosed with cancer, this shook the family up.  Her family would wake up at 3:00 and pray the Divine Mercy Chaplet.  Also, Scripture was a big part of their life.  Her sisters were able to take part in events at Ascension Prayer House.  Valerie remembers praying Scripture and speaking the word of God and what he's saying was happening.  Her Dad was getting better.  Valerie saw Scripture in action.  This awakened her family's faith again.  God worked good out of that difficult situation.  This started them on a journey once again to their Catholic faith.  Valerie attended one of the retreats at Ascension Prayer House:  one week - no phone, no computer, no distractions.  It's only you and the Lord.....a lot of prayer.  At the end of the week, she didn't want to leave there.  It was like heaven on earth.  She did not want to go back to the chaos in the world.  Her mother and sisters took part in a Life in the Spirit seminar.  They encouraged Valerie to find one in Winnipeg.  Quote by a Rwanda's survivor:  "God never shows us something we aren't ready to understand.  He lets us see what we need to see, when we need to see it.  He'll wait until our eyes and hearts are open to him and then when we are ready, he will plant our feet on the path that's for us.  But it's up to us to do the walking."  Valerie feels that this quote is what has happened in her life.  Richard was the leader of CCRS at that time.  When Valerie emailed about a Life in the Spirit Seminar, he also told her about the Wednesday prayer meeting at Our Lady of Perpetual Help parish.  When Valerie went to the prayer meeting, they had a prayer tunnel where they prayed over you.  One of the things that really touched Valerie's heart that evening was the prophetic word that Jesus was happy that she answered his call to be there at that prayer meeting at that day.  She thought, "Oh, my gosh, he knows me!"  It felt really, really personal.  It was an overwhelming experience.  God actually knows who I am.  Another message from that evening was that God wanted a relationship with her.  Valerie thought of Samuel in 1 Samuel 3:7 when the Lord was calling Samuel.  He kept going to Eli.  In this verse the boy didn't know that it was the Lord because the Lord hadn't spoken to him before.  This was what was happening to Valerie.  She  took part in the Life in the Spirit Seminar with a friend and it was such a blessing:  seeing what God was doing, reading Scripture, calling each other and just talking about the Lord constantly.  The day of the baptism in the Holy Spirit, she felt such an overwhelming love of God.  Romans 5 - "The love of God has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit."  This was exactly what it felt like.  This awakened love of Scripture in her, just the love of spending time with Jesus in Adoration, not paying attention to the time, joined the choir at church, started to participate more in Mass, and wanting to know her Catholic faith for herself.  When she was in Adoration preparing for this talk, Jesus reminded her that "You did not choose me, I chose you."  (John 15:16)

Praise Reports

Maria K. shared that her Aunt Cheryl's operation for ovarian cancer went very well.  She's not out of the woods yet but she is home and is eating properly, etc.  Thank you, Lord.

Georgina's sister, Liba's knee replacement surgery went well.  Thank you, Lord.

Debra gave a praise report because of the snow today.  As she was driving, someone rolled down their window and told her that her tire was going to fall off.  Usually she goes to the hospital to be with her Mom.  But because it snowed she went home.  If she had gone to the hospital, it would have been a further drive and probably the tire would have come off.  She praised God for saving her from an accident.

Louise praised the Lord for the blessing her family, received 12 years ago this week when her young daughter had breast cancer and recovered fully from an invasive cancer.
