Scripture Reading Psalm 91:9-16 - "Because you have the Lord for your refuge, you have made the Most High your stronghold.  No evil shall befall you, nor shall affliction come near your tent.  To his angels he has given command about you, that they guide you in all your ways, upon their hands they shall bear you up, lest you dash your step against a stone.  You shall tread upon the asp and the viper, you shall trample down the lion and the dragon.  Because he clings to me I will deliver him; I will set him on high because he acknowledges my name.  He shall call upon me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in distress; I will deliver him and glorify him.  With length of days I will satisfy him, and fill him with my salvation."

Prophecy/Vision - What came to me at the beginning of the meeting was the word "abandon".  It was, I could sense, an invitation from the Lord, saying, "Abandon yourself to me."  And as the songs went on, I think the song was "Sweep Over My Soul," what I could see was a big wave of water.  I looked up and I could see a tsunami of water coming upon us, but it wasn't something to be frightened of.  From the first word, "abandon ourselves", to see the Lord, to trust in Him.

Confirmation of last word/Prophecy - "My people, I long for you.  Run to me, run into my open arms and I will fulfill the longing in your hearts."

Scripture Reading Psalm 145 - I was struck by the words of the Psalm from today's Liturgy.  "The Lord is near to all who call upon him, to all who call upon him in truth."  I was just really consoled by that.  The Lord is near.  He is always available.  As we call on him, he answers.

Prophecy - I felt the Lord saying tonight, "My people, the world is lost but you are my sheep and my sheep know my voice.  Look up.  Trust me, my people.  I love you."

Prophecy - During the song of the anointing song, I sensed that there was a very powerful movement of the Holy Spirit descending upon each and every one of us here tonight and the Lord saying, "My dearest children, I love you so much that I am going to bring about a great renewal in your lives.  Through my Holy Spirit, I will transform you.  Through my Holy Spirit, I will guide you in a new way, a new way that will bring fullness of life, a new way that will bring healing and a new way that will bring great joy and peace."

Scripture Reading Psalm 150 - I really felt this urging to praise the Lord and the songs tonight definately confirm that.  Psalm 159 - "Praise for God's Surpassing Greatness.  Praise the Lord!  Praise God in his sanctuary; praise him in his mighty firmament!  Praise him for his mighty deeds; praise him according to his surpassing greatness!  Praise him with trumpet sound; praise him with lyre and harp.  Praise him with tambourine and dance; praise him with strings and pipe!  Praise him with clanging cymbals; praise him with loud clashing cymbals!  Let everything that breathes praise the Lord!  Praise the Lord!

Confirmation/Prophecy - A confirmation of the last prophecy,  the Lord saying, "I am doing a great thing among you."

Prophecy - When the song was sung about opening our hearts, I just felt it was an indication to open our hearts and to grow deeper in our relationship with the Lord.  These are difficult times, and as we go deeper, usually we go deeper when times are difficult; so it's an indication that the Lord will accompany us as we continue to deepen our relationship with him.

Prophecy - "My children, do not fear anything for I am with you.  I am close by.  I will never abandon you.  Stay close to me and fear nothing, my children."

Scripture Reading Psalm 33:20-22 - "Our soul waits for the Lord, who is our help and our shield.  For in God, our hearts rejoice; in your holy name, Lord, we trust.  May your kindness, Lord, be upon us; we have put our hope in you."

Prophecy - "And your hope is not in vain, my little one.  You have no idea what I have in store for you.  How rich and beautiful your future is with me.  My little one, stay on that straight and narrow road.  It will give you the way to glory, glorious time with me.  Wait, wait and see what I have for you, my little one.  Be at peace.  Know that my power, my authority goes before you.  I will use you, I will use you in so many ways that you are not even aware of.  Only remain rooted in me, my little one.  Together we will conquer all.  Rejoice!  Rejoice that I have called you and chosen you.  Rejoice that you are mine forever."

Teaching

Charles Whitehead spoke on "The Gift of the Spirit".  After his powerful experience of the Lord's presence, Charles really knew that this was how his Christian life was supposed to be; this knowledge of the love of God, this sense of the presence of the Holy Spirit.  His heart was now on fire and his response was to ask the Holy Spirit to be in the driver's seat of his life.  It was a moment of complete transformation.  It's quite often referred to as Baptism in the Holy Spirit and what it means is that the divine graces that we have received in the Sacraments of Baptism and Confirmation are fully released in our life when we say our own personal "yes" to the Holy Spirit and to his work in us.  Whenever we pray, "Come Holy Spirit," there's always a new outpouring of his love and his power into our hearts and he comes to us again.  Once we have opened our lives to the Holy Spirit, we can then receive the amazing supernatural gifts or charisms of the Holy Spirit to help us reach out to others for their transformation.  Lumen Gentium, section 12 - "It's not only through the Sacraments that the Holy Spirit makes holy the people, leads them and enriches them with his virtues.  Alloting his gifts as he wills, he also distributes special graces among the faithful of every rank.  By these gifts, he makes them fit and ready to undertake various tasks for the renewal and building up of the Church.  These charisms are to be received with thanksgiving because they are fitting and useful for the needs of the Church."  We're all given different gifts by the one Spirit.  They're given to help us serve each other and build up the Church.  Book on the gifts by Charles is, "Towards a Fuller Life in the Holy Spirit".  By supernaturally inspiring a person to reveal to us something in the purpose or plan of God which they could not possibly know, the Holy Spirit can prepare us for something, can challenge us, can teach us, inspire us, encourage us, guide us, direct us, using another person inspired by the Spirit.  Pope Francis - "There is no greater freedom than that of allowing oneself to be guided by the Holy Spirit, letting him enlighten, guide and direct us, leading us wherever he will.  The Holy Spirit knows well what is needed in every time and every place."  All the gifts are under our control.  We can choose to speak or be silent.  Re speaking in tongues - it's the most misunderstood gift. This is the gift that has transformed Charles' prayer life.  God gives us the gift of tongues so that we can come into his presence and speak to him from our hearts through the Holy Spirit with total freedom.  St. Teresa of Avila - "Our Lord sometimes gives the soul feelings of jubilation and a strange prayer it doesn't understand.  I'm writing about this favour here so that if he grants it to you, you may give such praise and know what is taking place.  It seems like gibberish and certainly the experience is like that, for it's a joy so excessive that the soul wouldn't want to enjoy it alone, though wants to share it with everyone.  O what blessedness, sisters, if only God would give it to us all."  Pope Francis, June 1, 2014 - "I expect from you that you that you share with all in the Church the grace of Baptism in the Spirit."
