Prophetic Words & Scripture Readings at Live Stream June 22, 2022

Jun 23, 2022

At beginning of meeting, Scripture Reading Matthew 7:15-16, 18, 20 - "Beware of false propjets, who come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly are ravenous wolves.  You will know them by their fruits.  A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit.  Thus you will know them by their fruits."

Scripture Reading Proverbs 4:14-22 - "The path of the wicked enter not, walk not on the way of evil men;  shun it, cross it not, turn aside from it, and pass on.  For they cannot rest unless they have done evil; to have made no one stumble steals away their sleep.  For they eat the bread of wickedness and drink the wine of violence.  The way of the wicked is like darkness; they know not on what they stumble.  But the path of the just is like shining light, that grows in brilliance till perfect day.  My son, to my words be attentive, to my saying incline your ear; let them not slip out of your sight, keep them within your heart; for they are life to those who find them, to man's whole being they are health."

Scripture Reading Psalm 116:1-4 - "I love the Lord because he hears my voice and my supplications.  Because he has inclined his ear to me, therefore I shall call upon him as long as I live.  The cause of death encompassed me and the terrors of Sheol came upon me; I found distress and sorrow.  Then I called upon the name of the Lord; O Lord, I beseech you, save my life!"

Scripture Reading Romans 16:17-20 - "I urge you, my friends, watch out for those who cause divisions and upset people's faith and go against the teaching which you have received.  Keep away from them!  For those who do such things are not serving Christ our Lord, but their own appetites.  By their fine words and flattering speech they deceive innocent people.  Everyone has heard of your loyalty to the gospel, and for this reason I am happy about you.  I want you to be wise about what is good, but innocent in what is evil.  And God, our source of peace, will soon crush Satan under your feet."

Prophetic Word - "Worship, worship, worship, and more worship.

Words of Knowledge - Someone's wife will deliver a healthy baby.  Somebody's god-daughter's kids need to be baptized.  Family with COVID will be healed.  Bleeding ulcer and blindness will be healed.  Somebody with cancer of the pancreas will be healed.  Healing of the throat (I believe it's Fr. Michael).  Healing of a stroke.  Someone will undergo kidney surgery and all will go well.  Some people with addictions will be freed.  Somebody is legally blind (believe it's a man), has mental problems, depression, autism and asperger's syndrome, is self talker, will receive some healing.

Prophetic Word/Word of Knowledge - When we were singing the song, God on the Mountain, the words of knowledge that I received were, "Remember that people are watching us."  And it's so easy to praise him when we are high, when we are happy, when we are well.  But people watch us when we have things happen.  When we are sad, when we are sick, that's when people are watching.  And the Lord said that is when the evil one to make sure that people are watching us, when we forget to pray because we are sad or whatever.  And that's how he tempts people to not believe in him.  Because people are watching us, Christians, how do we react when we are down because they don't care about when we are happy, what we are saying.  So, the word of knowledge is, "Always remember that people are watching us, and we need to be the carriers of the good news whether things are going well or going bad."

Teaching

Fr. Vincent Lampert spoke on "8 Main Ways a Devil Can Get a Hold On Us."                                                  1)  Ties to occult.  Occult comes from the word meaning hidden or secret.  It focuses on the paranormal.  These are all forms of idolatry that violates the first commandment.  Deut 18:10-12 - "You must never practice black magic, be a fortune teller, witch or sorcerer.  You must never cast spells, ask ghosts or spirits for help or consult the dead."   No one knows the future except God.  2)  Through the entertainment industry.  Movies, TV shows, literature, games, computer and IT gadgets.  We are giving up the sense of community.  The devil's goal is to isolate us.  Certain types of literature promote being a witch or wizard as a position of power.  Evil is presented as something good.  3)  A curse.  Curses are only effective if we are weak in faith.  Ephesians - Putting on the armor of God.  Psalm 91 - "I need not fear the terror of the night nor the arrow that flies by day."  We are protecting ourselves with God's grace.  4)  Being dedicated to a demon.  5)  Abuse.   6)  Life of habitual sin.  God wants us to own our sin, confess our sin and hand it over to God.  7)  Inviting a demon into our life.  Whenever someone is genuinely possessed, there's usually a cluster of demons and there's hierarchy.  The most powerful one leaves last.  8)  Broken relationships. How we deal with a broken relationship does seem to matter.  Bitterness/revenge.   Forgiveness 70 x 7.

Reflection

Fr. Michael reflected on last week's teaching.  Jesus was both human and divine.  In his human nature he experienced same stresses as we do.  As a human, he turned to his Father in heaven, seeking consolation.  We have a loving Father in heaven that we can turn to at any time to help us through our confusion and stresses.  The speaker last week was right, we do need a Savior.
