Prophetic Words & Scripture Readings at Live Stream January 4, 2023

Jan 05, 2023

The following are words given by participants at the streamed meeting.  1 Corinthians 14:29 says that "Two or three prophets should speak, and the others weigh carefully what is said."  1 Thess 5:19-21 tells us not to despise prophecies, but to test everything and retain what is good.

At beginning of meeting, Scripture Reading Psalm 91:14-16 - "God says, 'I will save those who love me and will protect those who acknowledge me as Lord.  When they call to me, I will answer them; when they are in trouble, I will be with them.  I will rescue them and honor them.  I will reward them with long life; I will save them.'"

Words of Knowledge - Someone needs a new pair of glasses, but needs the funds to pay for it.  The Lord will cover the cost and also heal the eye.  Knees are being healed.  Healing of cancer of the lung and breast.  The Lord desires that you go to confession more often.  There's a healing of Covid.  Healing of eyes dysfunction, cataract and macular degenerative.  Someone will get a job.  Someone will find a new home.

Scripture Reading Psalm 62:5-8 - "My soul, wait in silence for God only, for my hope is from him.  He only is my rock and my salvation, my stronghold; I shall not be shaken.  On God my salvation and my glory rest; the rock of my strength, my refuge is in God.  Trust in him at all times, O people; pour out your hearts before him; God is a refuge for us."

Prophecy - "I am the Lord, the Almighty God.  I am the Lord of all holiness and all truth.  But as your Father, I come to dwell in the midst of your praises.  My holiness does not keep you from me, my children.  I dwell with you.  I love you.  I forgive you.  Place your trust in me and I will be your help at all times."

Vision - I had a vision during the song, "We worship you".  It was almost like Jesus was over all our homes and he was dressed in white.  He was just glowing.  There was rays of light all the way around him.  And he said, "The glory of the Lord is upon you, my children.  My glory fills this prayer group.  My love shines on you all.  My healing is on you all and I watch over you always.  I love you, my people."

Confirmation - The thought I had was, "Look back over the past year and see how God has looked after us so well, and he will continue to do that; look after us in the year that we are in now."

Confirmation/Scripture Reading Joel 2:25-27/Prophecy - The Lord said to remember his words in Joel.  Remember the words where he says, "I will make up to you for the years destroyed by grown locusts and hopper, by shearer and young locust, my great army which I sent to invade you.  You will eat to your heart's content.  You will eat your fill and praise the name of Yahweh, your God, who has treated you so wonderfully.  My people will not be disappointed any more.  And you will know that I am in the midst of Israel, that I am Yahweh, your God, with none to equal me.  My people will not be disappointed any more."  Then he goes on in the third chapter where he tells us that he's going to pour out his Spirit upon all mankind.  Our sons and daughter shall prophesy.  It's like he's saying, "Why are we always so sad?  Why are we sad?"  He's saying, "Have I not looked after you? Have I not blessed you abundantly?  Have I not protected you all these years?  My people, I have healed you.  Do not forget what I have done.  Do not forget about my promises to you.  Rejoice, my people, rejoice.  Keep my name, the praises to me and my Father always on your lips.  Rejoice, my people, rejoice."

Today's Gospel acclamation - "In the past God spoke to our ancestors through the prophets:  in these last days, he has spoken to us through the Son."

Scripture Reading Matthew 24:4-14 - "Jesus said to them, 'See that no one deceives you.  For many will come in my name, saying, 'I am the Messiah,' and they will deceive many.  You will hear of wars and reports of wars; see that you are not alarmed, for these things must happen, but it will not yet be the end.  Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom; there will be famines and earthquakes from place to place.  All these are the beginning of the labor pains.  Then they will hand you over to persecution, and they will kill you.  You will be hated by all nations because of my name.  And then many will be led into sin; they will betray and hate one another.  Many false prophets will arise and deceive many; and because of the increase of evildoing, the love of many will grow cold.  But the one who perseveres to the end will be saved.  And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached throughout the world as a witness to all nations, and then the end will come."  We have to keep looking at the Lord and rejoicing because he has been so good to us over the years and keep praising him and know that we are in his hands all the time, and he loves us.

Prophecy - "My people, my Son is the Word and the Word I have sent to you people on earth and the Word is the one that will bring glory.  Seek my word in Scripture, seek my word in the Liturgy, seek my word in community.  For I speak, my children, I speak to each and every one of you.  You have only to have ears to listen, to be still in the midst of the turmoil that is surrounding you in this world.  For I am alive, my children, and I'm going to reveal to you how much I am alive because I want my children to be made whole, to be holy.  I desire the purification will run through this whole earth.  Do not fear the purification but rejoice in it for my glory reigns in that purification.  My children, I love you.  I can see the whole outcome.  I, the Word, knew what needed to be done in order for you to be saved.  Yes, my children, my Son died on the cross that salvation would happen.  So, trust in me that in my Word I am going to glorify my Son that's in you and others will come to know that truly I exist."

Teaching

Fr. Mike Schmitz - Message for the New Year.  Many people have hope - triumph of optimism over pessimism, hope over despair.  It's positive.  Most evil in the world is sin and it has the potential to crush us.  Discouragement and embarrassment can hold us back, keep us in the past, keep us bound.   Even when we sin, Jesus has a plan for us, he has hope for us, he has a way for us to move forward.  Jesus wants us to be free.  Hope is trust in another, extended into the future.  Fall into the arms of mercy, fall into the Confessional.  Run forward with hope and humility.  1% rule - improve ourselves 1% each day.  Have a clear sense of who God is calling me to be.  What are small steps that I can make to that, that is called being faithful, not based on how I feel.  Being faithful is to keep your promises consistently.  I consistently choose the Lord.  I do not rely on intensity.  I take action, take a step.  I choose God even when I don't feel like it.  Choose the good.  1 Corinthians 15:58 - "Therefore, my beloved brothers and sisters, be firm, steadfast, always fully devoted to the work of the Lord knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain."

Praise Report

Ridima had requested prayers at quite a few sessions for her mother who was having really bad arthritis.  Since the last few weeks, she has been feeling better and she's also reduced her medication and it's all thanks to the prayers and the Lord!
