Prophetic Words & Scripture Readings at Live Stream January 31, 2024

Feb 02, 2024

The following are words given by participants at the streamed meeting.  1 Corinthians 14:29 says that "Two or three prophets should speak, and the others weigh carefully what is said."  1 Thess 5:19-21 tells us not to despise prophecies, but to test everything and retain what is good.

At beginning of meeting, Proverbs 29:25 - "The fear of man brings a snare but he who trusts in the Lord is safe."

Scripture Reading Psalm 104:31-35 - "May the glory of the Lord endure forever; may the Lord rejoice in his works -- who looks on the earth and it trembles, who touches the mountains and they smoke.  I will sing to the Lord as long as I live; I will sing praise to my God while I have being.  May my meditation be pleasing to him, for I rejoice in the Lord.  Let sinners be consumed from the earth, and let the wicked be no more.  Bless the Lord, O my soul.  Praise the Lord!"

Scripture Reading Hebrews 13:15 - "Through him let us continually offer up a sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of lips that acknowledge his holy name."

Scripture Reading Psalm 100 - "Shout joyfully to the Lord, all the earth.  Serve the Lord with gladness; come before him with joyful singing.  Know that the Lord himself is God.  It is he who has made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.  Enter his gates with thanksgiving, and his courts with praise.  Give thanks to him, bless his name.  For the Lord is good; his loving kindness is everlasting, and his faithfulness to all generations."

Leader of the meeting felt that we should respond to the Lord at this time and praise him all together (all our mics were on).

Confirmation/Vision/Word of Knowledge - Wow, What a confirmation of what I was receiving.  I had a vision of all of us standing up together, praising the Lord.  But we had instruments in our hands.  We were praising the Lord with cymbals and tambourines, and everything.  Even as we continued to praise him without those instruments, I could hear them.  I could hear all those instruments playing.  And then the Lord revealed to me that through what happened, many healings are taking place right now through the praises we lifted up together.

Scripture Reading 1 Thess 5:11 - "Encourage one another and build each other up."

Word of Knowledge/Scripture Reading Psalm 27 - This morning, I felt that there was a breakthrough, that something had lifted from my shoulders and there was a breakthrough tonight at the prayer meeting.  I was reading Psalm 27.  "The Lord is my light and my salvation -- whom shall I fear?  The Lord is the stronghold of my life -- of whom shall I be afraid?"

Scripture Reading 2 Cor 3:18 - As we were praying, it just felt like we were basking in the sun.  What was coming to mind was the reading from 2 Cor 3:18.  "And all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord's glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit."

Prayer - "Heavenly Father, we place ourselves now under the cross of Jesus Christ and cover ourselves with the Precious Blood of Jesus.  We surround ourselves with the light of Jesus Christ and say, "In the name of Jesus, that nothing shall interfere with the Lord working accomplish in our life.""

Teaching

Dr. Mary Healy spoke on "The Power of Praise.  Praise is God's gift to us.  We are created for worship.  Many of us are black and blue spiritually.  We're hurting.  In that context, all the more, the Lord wants to show us this secret, the power of praise.  Distinction between praise and giving thanks:  to praise God is to give him the honor and the glory that he is due because of who he is; his power, his mercy, his steadfast love.  We declare all those things, that's praise.  We give him thanks by declaring what he's done for us.  He created us, he provided for us, etc.  Ephesians - "We have been appointed and destined to live for the praise of his glory."  God does not need our worship; we need it.  You become what you worship.  As we worship God who is all beauty, who is all self-giving love, who is all purity, etc., we are lifted up to him.  We become more like him.  We begin to value those things more.  We begin to live up to the dignity and glory God created us for.  But if we don't worship God, we're going to worship something and it's going to be something beneath us.  Some people worship sexual pleasure, some fame, power, money and they are cruel masters.  When we praise God, we make him great in our own hearts, in our own understanding.  All our problems come into right perspective.  It frees us from anxiety, pressure, fear, depression, sadness.  Don't spend your prayer time telling God how big your problems are.  Tell your problems how big your God is.  When we praise God we magnify him in the Cosmos.  Our praises resound in the angelic world.  As we praise God, demons flee.  They can't stand it.  This is much more than positive thinking.  Spiritual principle at work:  When we praise God, especially when we least feel like it, it's an act of faith.  It releases the power of God to move in our circumstances.  2 Chron 20 -  God tells the king to put singers on the front line of the army.  The Levites sang and praised God.  The three army enemies destroyed each other and left.  God's people were saved.  Acts - When Paul and Silas are in Philippi, they are beaten and thrown into jail.  At midnight they began to sing hymns of praise.  An earthquake sets them free.  Today the world needs to hear our praise.  Story of Corrie and Betsie Ten Boom - They were imprisoned in Ravensbruck in horrible conditions.  Their barracks were flea ridden.  They read in Scripture where it says, " joice always.  Give thanks in all circumstances."  Betsie started thanking God for everything, even the fleas.  Later, they found out that the guards never came into their barracks because of the fleas.  One time, when Mary Healy was feeling so low, she felt the Lord tell her to dance.  As she did that, her heart began to change and a deep joy and peace came over her.  Her entire attitude changed.  And she just knew that she did not have to worry about the situation.  God had it in his hands.  From that day forward, the situation began to turn around.  Phil 4:4 - "Rejoice in the Lord always.  Again I say rejoice."   Hebrews 13:15 - "Through Jesus, let us continually offer up a sacrifice of praise to God."  1 Thess 5:18 - "Give thanks in all circumstances."  The Psalms teach us how to praise God.  Psalm 33 - "Praise the lord with the lyre.  Make melody to him with the harp of ten strings.  Sing to him a new song.  Play skillfully on the strings with loud shouts."  Psalm 47 - "Clap your hands, all peoples; shout to God with loud songs of joy."  Psalm 63:4 - "I will bless you as long as I live, in your name I will lift up my hands."  King David danced before the ark of the covenant.  When his wife saw this, she despised him in her heart.  David replied to her, "I was dancing before the Lord and as the Lord lives, not only will I make merry before the Lord but I will make myself yet more contemptible than this."  What he was saying was that he didn't care what people thought of him.  He was going to praise the Lord because he is worthy.  The opposite of praise is murmur, gripe, groan, grumble, complain.  We want to be honest with God about our emotions.  We want to tell him our complaints but not murmur behind his back.  Start each day praising and thanking God.  You could read the psalms, pray the Liturgy of the Hours, or praise God in your own words.  And ask the Holy Spirit to help you.  As often as you can, through the day, just keep lifting up little words of praise, especially when you don't feel like it.  You will begin to see how it releases God's power in your circumstances and how it allows the Lord to lavish his love on you.  Psalm 34 - "Bless the Lord at all times.  Let his praise be continually in your mouth."

Praise Report

Georgina had a praise report about Ray and Alice.  Ray is in a care home and he likes it.  And Alice is in assisted living.  They have sold their condominium.  Alice has been waiting for a kidney transplant.  Her bloodwork is better.  She used to have to go every month for bloodwork.  Now it's been reduced to every three months.  Thank you, Lord!
