Prophetic Words & Scripture Readings at Live Stream February 15, 2023

Feb 16, 2023

The following are words given by participants at the streamed meeting.  1 Corinthians 14:29 says that "Two or three prophets should speak, and the others weigh carefully what is said."  1 Thess 5:19-21 tells us not to despise prophecies, but to test everything and retain what is good.

Words of Knowledge/Prophetic Scripture Reading - The Lord will help someone who will be writing a university exam, and the word is "Trust in the Lord with all your heart.  Never rely on what you know."  Psalm 34:4.  There will be many healings tonight.  Healing of cancer of the throat; a broken knee cap; a broken wrist that keeps on breaking and you've had surgery more than once, but this time it will be corrected.  It will be healed for once and for all.  And diabetes, and people who are missing sleep will be granted sleep.  And God wants us to forgive others and go to confession more often.

Scripture Reading Psalm 44:1-8 - "With our own ears we heard it, O God - our ancestors have told us about it, about the great things you did in their time, in the days of long ago:  how you yourself drove out the heathen and established your people in the land; how you punished the other nations and caused your own to prosper.  Your people did not conquer the land with their swords; they did not win it by their own power; it was by your power and your strength, by the assurance of your presence, which showed that you loved them.  You are my king and my God; you give victory to your people, and by your power we defeat our enemies.  I do not trust in my bow or in my sword to save me;  but you have saved us from our enemies and defeated those who hate us.  We will always praise you and give thanks to you forever."

Jesus is always with us, doesn't matter if we're sad or happy, he'll always be with us.  And he keeps telling me to pray for everybody.

Scripture Reading Jeremiah 15:6-8 - "You have rejected me", says the Lord, "you are going backward.  So I have stretched out my hand against you and destroyed you.  I am weary of relenting.  I have winnowed them with a winnowing fork in the gates of the land; I have bereaved them, I have destroyed my people; they did not turn from their ways.  Their widows became more numerous than the sands of the seas; I have brought against the mothers of youth a destroyer at noonday; I have made anguish and terror fall upon them suddenly."

Scripture Reading Psalm 68:1-3 - "Let God rise up, let his enemies be scattered; let those who hate him flee before him!  As smoke is driven away, so drive them away; as wax melts before the fire, let the wicked perish before God!  But let the righteous be joyful; let them exult before God; let them be jubilant with joy!"

I follow the U.S. daily reflections and the last three days the first readings have been from Genesis and it really enforced the love that God has for his people.  It was the chapters about Noah; and God promised that he would never destroy the evil world again.  Noah's response was instead of sacrifices, he would always raise up his voice in praise to the Lord.  And in all three days, that was the theme.  So the songs that we had tonight just really reinforced that for me, that our Father ? praise and glory to the Lord at all times.

Scripture Reading Psalm 105:1-5 - "O give thanks to the Lord, call upon his name; make known his deeds among the people.  Sing to him, sing praises to him; speak of all his wonders!  Glory in his holy name; let the hearts of those who seek the Lord be glad!  Seek the Lord and his strength; seek his face continuously.  Remember his wonders which he has done, his marvels and the judgement uttered by his mouth."

Ifeoluwa claimed the Word of Knowledge regarding the successful university exam.

Pat B. claimed God's word for healing of diabetes, in Jesus' name.

Leslie J, Maria M, and Loree for his daughter-in-law claimed the Word of Knowledge about not being able to sleep and the Lord granting sleep.

Teaching

Bishop Barron spoke on the Scripture Reading in Exodus, the battle between Israel and the Amalekites.  Origen of Alexandria:  Israel = all of God's power in the world, all that is good, etc.  The Amalekites, all the enemies of Israel = powers of darkness, sin, cruelty, hatred, etc.  The spiritual life is a battle.  Those who stand with God will be opposed by many.  Churchill:  "Never trust the man who has no enemies.  That means he stands for nothing."  In the spiritual world, never trust someone who is not being opposed.  That means he is not walking the path of the Lord.  In the battle there are soldiers engaging directly in the battle.  In the spiritual battle, we are involved directly in the give and take.  Moses stands for those who direct the work of the church.  Leaders in the church do this by praying for the church.  Prayer:  monasteries, elderly people.  While Moses prayed with his hands raised, the struggle went well for the Israelites.  When his hands drooped, it did not go well.  Aaron and Hur held his hands up in prayer.  This represents the army of people who support the church with finances, prayers, etc.  Variety of gifts, positions, etc.,  gives the church power.  The devil wants us to turn against each other.

Praise Report

Richard - Last week, you prayed for me because I was dizzy for two days.  I was holding onto a wall actually and my blood pressure was really high.  The day after you prayed, no more dizziness and my blood pressure is down to what it usually is.  So, thank you so much, and thank you, Lord!
