Scripture Reading Deuteronomy 31:8 - "It is the Lord who marches before you.  He will be with you and never fail you or forsake.  So do not fear or be dismayed."

Scripture Reading Proverbs 3:1-5 - My son, do not forget my teaching, but let your heart keep my commandments; for length of days and years of life and peace they will add to you.  Do not let kindness and truth leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart.  So you will find favor and good repute in the sight of God and man.  Trust  in the Lord with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding."

Scripture Reading Psalm 27:1-4 - "The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear?  The Lord is my life's refuge; of whom should I be afraid?  When evil doers come at me to devour my flesh, my foes and my enemies, themselves, stumble and fall.  Though an army encamp against me, my heart will not fear.  Though war be waged upon me, even then I will trust.  One thing I ask of the Lord, this I seek; to dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, that I may gaze on the loveliness of the Lord and contemplate in his temple."

Words of Knowledge - The Lord is going to heal people.  He's going to heal someone of sore ribs from a former accident, of pancreatic cancer, of sore knees and sore ankles.  He's going to heal someone's mouth, especially the tongue.  He's going to heal someone of cataracts and macular degeneration, and someone will find a place to live, and someone will be able to sell a home.

Scripture Reading Psalm 136:1-9, 16-22 - "Give thanks to the Lord, because he is good; his love is eternal.  Give thanks to the greatest of all gods; his love is eternal.  Give thanks to the mightiest of all lords; his love is eternal.  He alone performs great miracles; his love is eternal.  By his wisdom he has made the heavens; his love is eternal; he built the earth on the deep waters; his love is eternal.  He made the sun and the moon; his love is eternal; the sun to rule over the day; his love is eternal; the moon and the stars to rule over the night; his love is eternal.  He led his people through the desert; his love is eternal.  He killed powerful kings; his love is eternal; he killed famous kings; his love is eternal; Sihon, king of the Amorites; his love is eternal; and Og, king of Bashan; his love is eternal.  He gave their lands to his people; his love is eternal; he gave them to Israel, his servant; his love is eternal."

Another translation - "His mercy endures forever."

Scripture Reading Luke 21:7-11 (The Signs of the End) - "Then they asked him, 'Teacher, when will this happen?  And what sign will there be when all these things are about to happen?'  He answered, 'See that you not be deceived, for many will come in my name, saying, 'I am he,' and 'The time has come.'  Do not follow them!  When you hear of wars and insurrections, do not be terrified; for such things must happen first, but it will not immediately be the end.'  Then he said to them, 'Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom.  There will be powerful earthquakes, famines, and plagues from place to place; and awesome sights and mighty signs will come from the sky."

Scripture Reading 2 Corinthians 4:7-10 - "We are only the earthenware jars that hold this treasure, to make it clear that such overwhelming power comes from God and not from us.  We are in difficulties on all sides, but not cornered; we see no answer to our problems, but never despair; we have been persecuted, but never deserted; knocked down, but never killed; always, wherever we may be, we carry with us in our body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus, too, may always be seen in our body."

Prophecy - "My children, tonight I rejoice because you praise my name, because you are here together.  I rejoice because you are my children.  I desire, tonight, to give you a wonderful gift, a gift that you received in baptism, a gift of faith.  Tonight, I am going to reveal to you my love and I will reveal to you my glory.  So, come to me tonight with trust and confidence and you will see my works be done."

Scripture Reading Ephesians 6:14-20 - A reminder to put on the armour of God.  "So stand your guard, with truth buckled round your waist, and integrity for a breastplate, wearing for shoes on your feet the eagerness to spread the gospel of peace and always carrying the shield of faith so that you can use it to put out the burning arrows of the evil one.  And then you must accept salvation from God to be your helmet and receive the word of God from the Spirit to use as a sword.  Pray all the time, asking for what you need, praying in the Spirit on every possible occasion.  Never get tired of staying awake to pray for all the saints; and pray for me to be given an opportunity to open my mouth and speak without fear and give out the mystery of the gospel of which I am an ambassador in chains; pray that in proclaiming it I may speak as boldly as I ought to."

Teaching

A video teaching by Fr. David Pivonka on "Giving Your All", based on Luke 21:1-4 (The Poor Widow's Contribution).  Jesus focuses on the woman and says she gave more than anyone else.  She gave out of her poverty.  She had faith that he would care of her. Story of Steubenville University.  A year ago, what were they going to do in the middle of a pandemic?  Most of the schools were not opening.  Let's just do it online because it's safer.  They thought differently.  They opened and all new students came in free - not charged tuition.  They were completely dependent on God.  A step in faith.  They received over 3 million dollars worth of donation!  What does it look like for us to give our all?  Having a son or daughter and they seem to be lost.  In a moment of fear and anxiety, you say, "Jesus, I give you my daughter and I trust that you're going to take care of her."  That's giving out of your weakness, poverty and brokenness.  Another giving our all is giving God permission to do whatever he wants to do to make me holy.  It could take a lot of courage to give your life to God, to say,  "I give you everything."  Giving your all could be a person who has been very active for the Lord and then because of age and health cannot do anything but pray.

Testimonies

Joan shared that last weekend they were in Montreal at a celebration of her sister's 50th wedding anniversary.  But what had happened is that they didn't get the invitation because of a wrong email address.  So, it was at the very last moment that they found out about it.  They turned to the Lord to help them make all the arrangements necessary, where to stay, etc.  And the Lord did.  Everything fell into place.  They had a beautiful time with her bachelor brother, where they stayed.  He drove their car.  They would have been lost if they had driven their own car to the event because of road blocks.  The Lord protected them and directed them throughout the weekend.  The word that Joan got from the Lord before they left was:  "Joan, you are in my care.  Go in peace, love and joy."  Looking back, that's exactly what happened.  They were peaceful, joyful and loving.  While there, Joe was able to share a few articles from Word Among Us with one of their nephews and Joan was able to pray for her niece's hand, carpal tunnel problems, and just before leaving, Joan prayed a quick blessing over her and she burst into tears.  The Lord is so good.

Joe shared a practice they have in their home that when they invite people to their home and they're not sure how it's going to turn out; if there's going to be some conflict and so on, they address the whole situation to the Lord.  Before the event takes place, either Joan or Joe would go around the whole house and bless it with Holy Water and ask the Lord to take charge of the situation and if there is anything that is not of him, that it will be silenced and not allowed to take root.  They find that this practice works out really well, and usually turns out to be a wonderful evening.  Yesterday evening, they invited a couple of people and did the same thing, went through the process of blessing the whole house with Holy Water and singing praise songs.  When the people came over, something unexpected happened.  Joe was able to give a testimony of his faith in Jesus Christ and the testimony was a situation where Joe was full of hatred and how he changed his hatred for that particular situation into a situation of love.  So, Joe praised and thanked the Lord for taking them one step further, for making Joe give that testimony yesterday.
