Prophetic Words & Scripture Readings at Live Stream October 7, 2026

Oct 08, 2026

The following are words given by participants at the streamed meeting.  1 Corinthians 14:29 says that "Two or three prophets should speak, and the others weigh carefully what is said."  1 Thess 5:19-21 tells us not to despise prophecies, but to test everything and retain what is good.

Tuesday's Entrance Antiphon - Where brothers (and sisters - our addition) unite to glorify God, there the Lord will give blessing.

Prophecy - "My beloved, yes today I call you my beloved, I visited you today.  Did you see me?  Did you feel me?  The sun - did you feel the heat on your face?  That was me.  Did you feel the wind blowing through your hair?  That was me blowing you a kiss.  Did you see me in the flowers that are still blooming?  That was me smiling at you.  Did you see me in the child that took a step and looked at you as you were walking?  That was me saying hello to you.  Did you see me in the elderly person that gave you a smile?  That was me smiling at you.  My beloved, I visit you every day.  Do you notice me?  Do you spend time with me looking at all the beautiful things that I have sent you.  Tomorrow, keep an eye out and you will see me in all that I have created for you.  Be silent.  Keep your eyes open, keep your heart open, keep your ears open and you will see, hear and smell me.  I love you, my beloved.  I am excited to spend time with you.  I love you."

Scripture Reading Hebrews 11:8-10 - By faith Abraham obeyed when he was called to set out for a place that he was to receive as an inheritance, and he set out, not knowing where he was going.  By faith he stayed for a time in the land he had been promised, as in a foreign land, living in tents, as did Isaac and Jacob, who were heirs with him of the same promise.  For he looked forward to the city that has foundations, whose architect and builder is God.

Scripture Reading Psalm 116:1-2 - I love the Lord, because he hears my voice and my supplications.  Because he has inclined his ear to me, therefore I shall call upon him as long as I live.

Every good gift that you see comes from my hand for I am your provider and I meet all your needs.  My plan for your future has always been filled with hope because I love you with an everlasting love.  My thoughts towards you are as thousands of sand on the sea shore and I will rejoice over you with singing.  I will never stop doing good for you for you are my treasured possession.

Teaching

Scott Hahn's talk was entitled The Eucharist in Scripture, Part 1.  Scott Hahn told us that as he studied Greek and Hebrew and read Scripture in the original language, he came to understand the Scriptures in a deeper way.  Then his reading of the Sunday sermons by the Ancient Fathers added to his understanding.  St. Ambrose and St. Augustine were experts at making the familiar stories in the New Testament take on new life.  They built bridges between the old and the new.

The New Testament is concealed in the Old Testament.  The Old Testament is revealed in the New Testament.  Matthew 5:17 - Jesus said, "Do not think that I came to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I did not come to abolish but to fulfill."  Promises in the Old were fulfilled in the New.  Scott Hahn took us through many of these eye-opening parallels (Moses - Jesus).

Luke 24 - On the road to Emmaus, Jesus appeared to two disciples.  He explained to them, beginning with Moses and all the Prophets, what was said in all the Scriptures concerning himself.  They did not recognize him until he was at table with them.  He took the bread, gave thanks, broke it and began to give it to them.  Then their eyes were opened and they recognized him.  And he disappeared.

Once our eyes are opened, the eyes of faith, to the real presence of Jesus in the holy sacrifice of the Mass, in the breaking of the Eucharistic bread, then we shouldn't need his physical presence.  Faith really matures when we grasp the real presence of Jesus in the breaking of the bread.

Answers to Prayer

Katherine and the group have often prayed for peace in her family.  The prayers are being answered.  She said that there is more peace now in her family.

Louise gave a praise report.  Her daughter, Jennifer,  has been on chemo for a year.  She is a fighter and a believer in God.  She has been approved to go to work 4 hours a day for 2 days this week.  She has not been able to work for 13-14 months.  This is a very big step for her.  Thank you Lord for this improvement.  We will continue to pray!
