Prophetic Words & Scripture Readings at Live Stream October 14, 2026

Oct 15, 2026

The following are words given by participants at the streamed meeting.  1 Corinthians 14:29 says that "Two or three prophets should speak, and the others weigh carefully what is said."  1 Thess 5:19-21 tells us not to despise prophecies, but to test everything and retain what is good.

Scripture Reading Daniel 2:20-23 - Daniel said: "Blessed be the name of God from age to age, for wisdom and power are his.  He changes times and seasons, deposes kings and sets up kings; he gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to those who have understanding.  He reveals deep and hidden things; he knows what is in the darkness, and light dwells with him.  To you, O God of my ancestors, I give thanks and praise, for you have given me wisdom and power, and have now revealed to me what we asked of you, for you have revealed to us what the king ordered."

Scripture Reading John 15:5-7 - I am the vine, you are the branches; he who abides in me and I in him, he bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing.  If anyone does not abide in me, he is thrown away as a branch and dries up; and they gather them, and cast them into the fire and they are burned.  If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.

Scripture Reading Psalm 91:1-8 - He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High and will abide in the shadow of the Almighty.  I will say to the Lord, "My refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust."  God will rescue from the fowler's snare, from the destroying plague.  Will shelter you with pinions, spread wings that you may take refuge; God's faithfulness is a protecting shield.  You shall not fear the terror of the night, nor the arrow that flies by day, nor the pestilence that roams in darkness, nor the plague that ravages at noon.  Though a thousand fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand, near you it shall not come.  You need simply watch.

Teaching

Scott Hahn on "The Lamb's Supper, Part 2."

St. Justin Martyr described what worship was like in the early Church back in the middle of the second century.  Scott Hahn wondered what if any residue might remain of the ancient liturgy of the early Church that the Fathers described in the Catholic Mass.  So, he attended a weekday Mass in a basement chapel at noon to observe.

At the elevation of the Host, he knew it wasn't bread any longer.  He knew it was really His Body and he knew it was Jesus' precious blood, no longer wine.  A holy thirst overcame him.

The way the Mass was structured, the Readings, the prayers, etc., led Scott Hahn to a revelation; he wasn't simply in a basement chapel, he was in the back of the bible, in the Book of Revelation. The Book of Revelation is not only futuristic but also Eucharistic.  This is what the early Church Fathers described.

Marriage Supper of the Lamb.  The bridegroom is Jesus.  The bride of the Lord is the Church.

In the book, Seasons of Grace, Fr. Pius Parsch, reflecting on Revelation 4 & 5, the Holy, Holy, Holy and the Lamb of God, pointed out that when we gather for Mass and we sing these songs, we are singing what the Saints and angels are all singing.  We're sharing in their worship!
