Prophetic Words & Scripture Readings at Live Stream August 30, 2023

Aug 31, 2023

The following are words given by participants at the streamed meeting.  1 Corinthians 14:29 says that "Two or three prophets should speak, and the others weigh carefully what is said."  1 Thess 5:19-21 tells us not to despise prophecies, but to test everything and retain what is good.

At beginning of meeting, Psalm 103:11-14 - "As the heavens tower over the earth, so God's love towers over the faithful.  As far as the east is from the west, so far have our sins been removed from us.  As a father has compassion on his children, so the Lord has compassion on the faithful.  For he knows how we are formed"

Scripture Reading Maccabees 7:12-17 - "Then a group of scribes approached in a body before Alcimus and Bacchides to ask for just terms.  The Hasideans were first among the Israelites to seek peace from them, for they said, "A priest of the line of Aaron has come with the army, and he will not harm us."  Alcimus spoke peaceable words to them and swore this oath to them, "We will not seek to injure you or any of your friends."  So they trusted him; but he seized sixty of them and killed them on one day, in accordance with the word that was written, "The flesh of your faithful ones and their blood they poured out all around Jerusalem, and there was no one to bury them.""

Prophecy - "My children, my children, I've come to embrace you again.  I've come to love you, to whisper my joy in your heart, in your mind.  Come, open your hearts.  Listen closely.  Again, I have many things to say to you.  So, have an open heart and know that I am working in all of you all the time because you are open to me.  My dearest, lovely children, come.  As chicks under a hen's wings, I am protecting you from all the foes that come about in due season, in season and out of season.  I am there no matter what the season because my love is and always will be embracing and holding up your hearts, your minds.  Spend time with me because I love to be with you.  Spend time and we will be even closer.  Spend time, spend time, my dearest, dearest loved ones."

Scripture Reading Matthew 7:12 - "Treat others the way you would have them treat you.  This sums up the Law and the Prophets.  Enter through the narrow gate.  The gate that leads to damnation is wide.  the road is clear and many choose to travel it.  But how narrow is the gate that leads to life, how rough the road and how few there are who find it."

Scripture Reading Psalm 139:1-5 - "O Lord, you have searched me and known me.  You know when I sit down and when I rise up; you understand my thoughts from afar.  You scrutinize my path and my lying down; and are intimately acquainted with all my ways.  Even before there is a word on my tongue, O Lord, you know it all. You have enclosed me behind and before, and laid your hand upon me."

Confirmation of previous Scripture Reading, Psalm 139.

Scripture Reading Psalm 47:8 - "Come behold the works of the Lord; who has brought desolations on the earth.  He makes wars cease to the end of the earth; he breaks the bow, and cuts the spear in two; he burns the chariots with fire. "Keep striving and know that I am God!  I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth."  The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our stronghold."

Scripture Reading Isaiah 46:6-7 and Prophecy - "There are those who pour out gold from a purse and weigh silver on the scale.  Then they hire a goldsmith to make it into a god before which they bow down\ and worship.  They lift it to their shoulders to carry.  When they set it in a place again it stays and does not move from the spot.  Although they cry out to it, it cannot answer.  It delivers no one from distress."   And then I heard the Lord say, "My children, do not praise other gods or other idols.  I am the one true God and I am a jealous God."

Scripture Reading Job 42:10 and Prophetic word - "Yahweh restored Job's fortunes because he had prayed for his friends."  More than that, Yahweh gave him double what he had before.  The Lord was saying he watches us every time we are on our knees praying for others and he blesses us for every time we pray for others, for our brothers and our sisters in Christ.  And not only that, even when we don't pray for ourselves, the Lord gives us what is in our heart because of our love we have for our brothers and sisters.

Words of Knowledge - Someone will be healed of severe headache.  Someone will be healed of uncontrollable pain in lower arms, healing of pain in the leg from sciatica.  A grandparent will have the courage to enroll her grandkids in catechism.  Two brothers who haven't talked for years will be reunited.  Many people will return to church this Sunday.  A house will be sold.

Teaching

Valerie shared her experience at World Youth Days in Portugal.  Theme was taken from Luke 1:39 - "During those days, Mary set out and travelled to the hill country in haste to a town of Judah."  First week was led by Chemin Neuf with approximately 4000 pilgrims.  Song that touched Valerie was a reminder of who we are.  It says:  On my best day, I'm a child of God and on my worst day, I'm a child of God.  God called each one to be there.  God had a purpose for each one there.  Seeing other young people praising God sparked a joy in Valerie.  It was amazing.  One day God brought a Scripture reading to Valerie's mind which was John 13:35 - "This is how all will know that you are my disciples if you have love for one another."  Valerie saw that love there.  It was tangible.  A Gospel reading at one Mass really touched Valerie - Matthew 47-50 - "Again, the kingdom of Heaven is like a net thrown into the sea which collects fish of every kind.  When it is full, they haul it ashore and sit down to put what is good into buckets, what is bad they throw away.  That will be at the end of the age.  The angels will go out and separate the wicked from the righteous and throw them into the fiery furnace where there will be wailing and grinding of teeth."  When Valerie heard this reading, she thought that is what she was seeing.  God just brought people from different cultures, languages, backgrounds, everything; people from different walks of life.  But they were all there.  It showed that God's kingdom is so diverse.  This experience made Valerie have hope.  The Catholic Church is not dying. Valerie said, "You could see that God wanted us to go, me to go to have that hope."  The Church is still alive when you see the youth coming out to praise God and to come to pilgrimages like this.  Just to have this experience together inspires hope in Valerie; not to give up and just keep believing in God and trust in what he's doing.  He's still working.  They were given the opportunity to be with the Pope in Lisbon where there were 1.5 million pilgrims.  The message Valerie came away with from the Pope is "Do not be afraid."  They got to go to Fatima and Santarem where an Eucharistic Miracle had happened.  (You can read the story on the website:  https://thecatholictravelguide.com/.../santerem-eucharistic-miracle

What a blessing the whole pilgrimage was for Valerie!
