Scripture Reading Psalm 118:1-3 - "Give thanks to the Lord for he is good, for his loving kindness is everlasting.  O let Israel say:  his loving kindness is everlasting.  O let the house of Aaron say:  his loving kindness is everlasting.  Let those who fear the Lord say:  his loving kindness is everlasting."

Scripture Reading Psalm 105:1-3 - "Give thanks to Yahweh, call his name aloud, proclaim his deeds to the peoples!  Sing to him, play to him, tell over all his marvels!  Glory in his holy name, let the hearts that seek Yahweh rejoice!"

Prophecy - "O my people, be not afraid for I am always with you.  My Spirit is upon you and even if the enemy comes at you in full force, you are protected.  You are protected from all danger.  You are guarded by my angels.  Though the enemy is at war against you, he shall not prevail.  My little ones, follow me closely.  Stay very close to me.  My Mother is also with you.  Take her hand and do not let go.  All of heaven is with you and for you.  You are my warriors.  You are my chosen warriors.  I have equipped you with all that you need.  Be not afraid.  Stand firm in your faith and follow after me.  Come, we are on the road to victory and you will rejoice, my people, for having remained faithful and true to my word.  You will be greatly rewarded.  All of heaven will rejoice in you and with you.  You are my beloved blessed ones in whom I am well pleased.  I love you, my little ones and remember, stay small.  Be like children led by the hand by his father and mother.  And through you I will work wonders.  This is my promise to you, my little ones.  Thank you, thank you for choosing me as I have chosen you."

Scripture Reading 2 Tim 1:13-14, Be Loyal to the Faith - "Hold fast the pattern of sound words that you have heard from me, in faith and love which are in Christ Jesus.  That good thing that was committed to you keep by the Holy Spirit who dwells in us."

Prophecy - The prophecy triggered something that I received this past week.  The Lord was telling me to keep praying, keep trusting.  "You have the Saints and angels on your side.  They are powerful and doing battle for you, also.  Do not fret.  Do not worry.  Do not be anxious.  I am here."

Teaching

Marilyn spoke on "In my weakness, I am strong by God's grace".  2 Cor 12:9-10 - "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.  Therefore, I will boast all the more gladly at my weakness, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me."  We can surrender to God to recognize his powerful presence in our lives. It is then we can allow God to take over.  This grace is often difficult for us to receive.  Grace is the power of God working on our behalf.  He knows what is best for us.  Psalm 121:7-8 - "The Lord will keep you from all harm, he'll watch over your life.  The Lord will watch over your comings and your goings both now and forever."  Deut 31 - "Be strong.  Be courageous.  Do not be afraid or terrified because of them.  The Lord God goes with you.  He will never leave you or forsake you."  Ephesians calls us to put on the armor of God to stand firm against the tactics of the devil.  Life is not trouble free.  It is the testing grounds for us to rely more fully, to allow God to work in us, to heal us and to allow us to persevere in these trials.  Jesus came to give us his peace.  1 Peter 5:6-7 - "Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may lift you up in due time.  Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you."  God always wants to be a blessing to us even though we want to do things our own way.  It's not our job to advise God.  He knows our situation.  Isaiah 55:8-9 - "For my thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways my ways, says the Lord.  For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts."  Hebrews 13:15 - "Through him therefore let us constantly at all times offer to God a sacrifice of praise, that is, the fruit of lips that thankfully acknowledges and glorifies his name."  The Beatitudes are a wonderful reminder about how we ought to live and respond.  It is not easy but with God's help it is possible.  That is why it is so important for Christians to gather together to hear the word of God more often, to inspire one another in their Christian walk, to meet regularly in groups such as this.  Waiting is sometimes the most painful, the most difficult time.  But as we go through these trials, we can look back with a thankful heart to see how God has taken you through these trials and to where he has brought you.  Exodus - Moses tells his people to stand still and let the Lord win the battle for you.  Ecclesiastes 3 - There is a time for everything.  God's timing is not ours.  God can use these trials to mould and shape us in our character.  Psalm 91:5-8 - "You shall not fear the terror of the night nor the arrow that flies by day, nor the pestilence that roams in darkness, nor the plague that ravages at noon.  Though a thousand fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand, near you it shall not come.  You need simply watch."  We have tremendous protection.  God is always looking for ways to reach us with his love.  Our relationship with God is always changing.  We are not the same people we were a year ago.  Jeremiah 29:11 - "I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a future full of hope."  Song - God Gives Grace.

Testimony

Monika came to Canada 30 years ago and she hated it.  She's a country girl.  She hated the city.  There was her faith life before and after the first Life in the Spirit Seminar.  She had a hard time coming to church even on Sunday because she loves to work.  One Sunday, the Scripture was on keeping the Sunday holy and it so touched her.  She promised God right there not to miss a Sunday.  She felt great regret about opportunities missed going more often, even during the week, going to a Mass.  Now, she goes to Mass every day because her church is at the end of her street.  She hated coming here, but she loves it now because God has been good, providing for her what she needed.  Jeremiah 29:11-14.  When she looks back, she sees all the graces that have been bestowed on her.  She has learned that she doesn't even have to say words in prayer; he knows the longing in her heart and he answers it faithfully and for that she is so thankful.  All of this, all of us are gift, blessings to her.  She would never have had that back home.  She thanks and praises God for that.  God is good!

Praise Reports

Not too long ago, we had prayed for Sarah to be able to conceive.  God, also, put it upon the heart of one lady from our group to keep praying for Sarah's intention.  In part, this is what Sarah emailed us:  "The intention of my heart is and was to ask God to conceive a healthy baby naturally, a child with a sharp mind, pure heart and expansive soul who lives for His glory and to prepare our hearts and home for the baby God has for us by adoption.  This is actually, then, two souls and two prayer requests.  On this passed Friday, the feast day of St. Bernard of Clairvaux, my husband and I learned of a little life inside me - 2 weeks old.  We are indeed pregnant!  Just 10 days after an ultrasound by a specialist "proved" it would be nearly impossible for me to conceive and even more impossible to give birth.  St. Bernard is the patron saint of bee keepers, and we are new bee keepers.  We feel he is blessing us with his intercession, so we nicknamed our little one Bernie Bee Bee.  Now we ask for an army of pray-ers and prayers to surround this little body and soul, protect them from all ill, and help them develop safe and strong and fully.  And a smooth delivery and birth and beyond!  We also ask for the grace to accept God's will, no matter what it is.   Thank you all for your prayers.  With gratitude from the depth of my soul, Sarah (and Stephen and +Bernie+ too)."

Praise report from Maria - At Value Village, the Lord ministered to Maria through three women from Steinbach.  Maria's sister was dying.  Maria was distraught but the joy of these three women drew her to them.  They offered to pray for her.  The prayers were so powerful.  Maria was almost slain in the Spirit.  They also prayed for Maria's sister.

Maria also shared that the Lord woke her up at 5 o'clock in the morning a few days ago with a reminder that she had not arranged for a priest to give her sister her last rites.  She knew of a priest who was going to be in Winnipeg at this time.  She phoned him on her way to the hospital.  He came, prayed over Maria, gave her sister the Sacrament of the Sick.  He blessed the whole family.  He asked God for forgiveness and love, and on and on.  This is a miracle.

Joe shared that his son-in-law's parents decided not to go back to church.  They visited Joe and Joan a couple of weeks ago and Joe shared some of the answered prayers at our meetings.  The father was so taken up and said that maybe he'll go back to church.  Praise God!

Mark shared that his Mother's husband had lung cancer a few years back.  He had an operation, chemo therapy, had been in remission for quite a few years, but it came back last year.  The medication they had used before wasn't working and it was getting worse.  They put him on a new medication and it started to work which is kind of a praise report of an answered prayer.  He's still recovering but it's very slow.  Mark asked for prayers that the Lord be with him, with his Mom and that he will continue to recover and heal.
