Prophetic Words & Scripture Readings at Live Stream April 12, 2023

Apr 13, 2023

The following are words given by participants at the streamed meeting.  1 Corinthians 14:29 says that "Two or three prophets should speak, and the others weigh carefully what is said."  1 Thess 5:19-21 tells us not to despise prophecies, but to test everything and retain what is good.

At beginning of meeting Scripture Reading Psalm 105:1-2 - "Give thanks to the Lord, invoke his name; make known among the nations his deeds.  Sing to him, sing his praise; proclaim all his wondrous deeds."

Scripture Reading Proverbs 3:5-6 - "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, on your own intelligence rely not; in all your ways be mindful of him, and he will make straight your paths."  Tonight as we were praising the Lord, I could just sense the beautiful words we were expressing from our hearts through those songs; really made us truly mindful of the greatness of God and how much he's in charge of every moment of our lives and how we are called to be grateful for everything he does for us.

Words of knowledge - Someone here is losing their hair due to cancer treatments.  And the word from the Lord is Proverbs 3:4 - "Trust in the Lord with all your heart."  There will be a healing of cancer of the bone, healing of cataract and macular degeneration eye disease.  Someone has been gifted with healing prayer but are too unsure of using it.  The Lord will free you and give you the courage to do so.  Many gifts are given to this group.

Scripture Reading Psalm 105:1-3 - "O give thanks to the Lord, call upon his name; make known his deeds among the people.  Sing to him, sing praises to him; speak of all his wonders.  Glory in his holy name; let the heart of those who seek the Lord be glad."

Vision/Prophecy - When the daily bread song was on, I suddenly saw this home.  It was kind of a modern home and the lights were dim.  And my sense was that that's our daily food, is in our home, in our heart.

Prophecy - "Rest assured, my little ones, that I will be glorified.  No matter what the future holds, no matter how bad it gets, I will be glorified.  And you, my little ones, will be brought up with me.  You will be by my side.  You will be blessed in ways you can never imagine.  I thank you for your faithfulness, my little ones.  I thank you that you remain with me, even through the trials, even through the hard times.  And be it known that it will get worse but I will never leave you.  I will never abandon you and through it all I will be glorified.  I am the King of kings, the Lord of lords.  I am God forever."

Prophecy - "My children, I am calling you in a very special way tonight.  I desire that you reach out your hand to me to walk with me, hand in hand, side by side, day by day.  I am with you, my children.  I will never abandon you and I will always be the light that will lead your way."

Scripture Reading Acts 2:1-4, The Coming of the Holy Spirit - "When the day of Pentecost had come, they were all together in one place.  And suddenly from heaven there came a sound like the rush of a violent wind, and it filled the entire house where they were sitting.  Divided tongues, as of fire, appeared among them, and a tongue rested on each of them.  All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other languages, as the Spirit gave them ability."

Teaching

The seventh talk in the Life in the Spirit was on "Transformation in Christ", presented by Natalie.  Story of prisoner:  I now have an identity.  After Jesus was baptized, he found himself in the desert being tempted by the devil.  Satan can use any setback in our life to try to destroy our faith. Our financial trial: Read book, "Power in Praise" by Merlin Carrothers.  Oppression actually broke after praising him for a week.  Got an inner joy.  Witnessed about praising God and having this joy at a Renewal weekend in Dauphin.  God wanted to show people that when we continue to rely on him, no matter what the situation, that he will give us strength, comfort, peace, whatever we need.  That's living in his kingdom.  Another time of prayer, received word, "Soon you will have many troubles, but know that I am with you."  And at another gathering, someone had a vision of a volcanic mountain ready to explode and we were to hang onto the Scripture reading in Ephesians about the armor of God.  This was just before our son was diagnosed with leukemia.  He died six weeks later.  But God kept giving us signs that he was with us.  i.e. The peace that surpasses all understanding.  It was as if my body was completely silent and the feeling, "It's O.K., it's O.K."  Isaiah 43 - "Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name, you are mine.  When you pass through the waters, they shall not overwhelm you; when you walk through fire you shall not be burned; and the flame shall not consume you.  For I am the Lord your God."  1 Cor 10:13 - "The trials that you have had to bear are no more than people normally have.  You can trust God not to let you be tried beyond your strength, and with the trial he will give you a way out of it and the strength to bear it."  Story of the house that would not sell.  Romans 8:28 - "For those who love God, all things work for the good."  Crosses in our life are minuses turned into pluses.  John 14:26 - "The Paraclete, the Holy Spirit whom the Father will send in my name, will instruct you in everything and remind you of all that I told you."  It's the thief, Satan, who comes to steal, slaughter and destroy.  God comes that we may have life and have it to the full (John 10:10).  Phil 2:13 - "For it is God who works in you to will and do what pleases him."  Genesis 4:7 - "Sin is a demon lurking at the door:  His urge is toward you, yet you can be his master."  Avoiding the near occasion of sin.  Psalm 34:23 - "No one incurs guilt who takes refuge in him."  Message to St. Faustinia:  what hurts the Lord the most is when we don't trust in his mercy.  His mercy is greater than our sin.  Story of St. Augustine.  God worked in his life through his mother's intercession, his debates with St. Ambrose about issues of faith, the witness of a friend of his and God's message to him through Romans 13:13-14.  The same Spirit who raised Jesus from the dead is the same Spirit who has been given to us.  Perseverance.  1 Thess 5:23-24 - "May the God of peace himself sanctify you wholly, and may your spirit and soul and body be kept sound and blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.  He who calls you is faithful, and he will do it."  God gave us free will.  We make the choice - to follow him or not.  John 3:30 - "He must increase, while I must decrease."  Story of alcoholic, changing, building a centre for alcoholics, wife got cancer, he took care of her, said, "It was a privilege to do this.  Now it's a chance for my sanctification."  Analogy from The Word Among Us:  tea bag in hot water.  No longer water, now tea.  The longer tea bag in water, the stronger the tea.  Every time you ponder Scriptures, every time you go to Mass, you are "steeping" yourself in him.  Every time you go to Confession or spend time serving people his life is becoming stronger in you.  He is making you "look" and "taste" more like him.  Importance of being part of a community of faith.  We need each other.  Phil 3:12 - "Not that I am already perfect:  but I press on to make it my own, because Christ Jesus has made me his own."  Phil 3:13-14 challenge each one of us to be like a runner on the race track straining every muscle as he runs toward the goal, his hand stretched out to grasp it.  1 Cor 2:9 - "Eye has not seen, ear has not heard, no mind has conceived what God has in store for those who love him."  Song, "Press On"  by Robert Filoramo, sung by Greg Mailloux.

Praise Reports

Barbara thanked everyone for their prayers for her mother.  She is doing well and might even be able to go home Thursday.  Her surgery went well.  Barbara could tell that the Lord was really there for her.

David, Natalie and Richard gave praise for the birth of a baby boy on Easter (Richard & Natalie's great-grandson).  We had prayed for the mother and father because they wanted a child and were not able to conceive.  With the help of doctors, they now have a son.  We had prayed that all would go well in the pregnancy and delivery.  Thank you Lord, for Walker.

Leann thanked everyone for their prayers for her friend's nephew who had been looking at MAID or palliative care.  He did go into palliative care and her friend was able to see him last week.  He passed away yesterday but it was peaceful.  Thank you, Lord.
