Prophetic Words & Scripture Readings August 14

Aug 14, 2019

Scripture reading at beginning of the meeting:  Eccl 8:16 – “Whenever I try to become wise and learn what goes on in the world, I realize that you can stay awake night and day and never be able to understand what God is doing.”   God is in control no matter what and we have to keep our focus on him.

Prophecy:  “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in your weakness.”

Prophecy:  “I come to love you.  I come to embrace you.  I come to draw closer to you, my dear children, my beloved.  Oh, I love to see you here praising and loving and being with each other.  You bring yourselves together in me.  Thank you, my children.  I love you.”

Scripture reading – Psalm 3:  “Happy are those who trust in the Lord.  You do not turn  __ or join those who worship false Gods.  You have done many things for us, O Lord, our God.  There is no one like you.  You have made many wonderful plans for us.  I could never speak them all.  Your number is so great.  Jesus, I trust in you.”

Prophecy:  “Once you were strangers but you are strangers no more.  I call you my friends.  And remember, a friend is always at your side.  I’m always at your side.”

Prophecy:  “Tell my people to give me their petitions, to give me their praise. Give me your worship.  Give me your truth and give me your love and as you give me these things, then give them to one another.”

Prophecy:  “My children, when you worship me, if you could see yourself the way I see you; the way that I long for you to relax and to worship.  If you could see yourself, you would lift up your hands high and you would praise me with joyful hearts, even more joyful than what you experience here.  In my eyes, the way I see you, that is what I desire for you to keep on worshipping me with everything in your heart, mind, body and soul that you could possibly worship me with.  Trust me.”

Scripture reading Isaiah 40:9 – “Jerusalem, go up on high mountain and proclaim the good news; call out with a loud voice, Zion, announce the good news.  Speak out and do not be afraid.  Tell the towns of Judah that their God is coming.”

Reflection on a Scripture passage – “When the priests walked around the city of Jericho and those who were worshipping God, the walls collapsed.  They didn’t have to take up arms or ammunition.  It was totally the praise of God’s people.  How important our praise and worship is.”

“This evening is the first evening prayer before the Feast of the Assumption of our Blessed Mother, a very, very important feast in our Church. I would like to share what I read this evening in the Divine Office, prayer of the Church which is proclaimed all over the world.  “Let us praise God, our Almighty Father, who wished that Mary, his Son’s mother, be celebrated by each generation.  Now, in need, we ask, Mary, full of grace, intercede for us.”  Later on in the petitions, it said that God wanted his mother, the mother of Jesus, to be with him body and soul and that’s why she was assumed.  And that’s what we celebrate when we celebrate the assumption.”

Teaching

The Heart of the Gospel by Ralph Martin on video.  Eph 2:1-10.  God is rich in mercy but there is a necessity of response from us.  Two big deceptions:  (1) Broad and wide is the road to salvation. (wrong).  Matt 7:13 & 14, 1 Tim 2, Luke 12 & 13.  (2) God is so merciful that he will not allow anyone to perish. (wrong). In St. Faustina’s diary Sections 965, 1396, 1160, 635; 1 Cor 6, Gal 5, Eph 5, Rev 21, 22, 23; Catechism 1864.

Teaching August 21 by Lori Ann.  Please note that the prayer meeting will be in the big hall, downstairs, as usual.  They finished the floors earlier.
