Prophetic Words & Scripture Readings at Live Stream September 6, 2023

Sep 07, 2023

The following are words given by participants at the streamed meeting.  1 Corinthians 14:29 says that "Two or three prophets should speak, and the others weigh carefully what is said."  1 Thess 5:19-21 tells us not to despise prophecies, but to test everything and retain what is good.

Scripture Reading Proverbs 3:5-8 - "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, on your own intelligence rely not.  In all your ways be mindful of him, and he will make straight your paths.  Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord, and turn away from evil.  It will be healing for your flesh and a refreshment for your body."

Romans 5:3-5 - "We rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame, because God's love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us."

The whole time that I was praising, I was imagining when he returns and how I would be.

Scripture Reading John 14:6 - "I am the Way and the Truth and the Life.  No one comes to the Father but through me."

Prophecy - "My children, I'm with you always; even in the times of darkness, even in times of joy and peace.  But to obtain that gift of serenity and assurance of my living and loving presence within your life, my children, I need for you to be still.  I need for you to take time out for prayer, meditate on my Word and to reflect on my Passion, my Resurrection.  I have given you a precious gift, the gift of my life; and my life is food for you to eat.  Tonight, I am calling each one of you to reassess your faith in my holy body, blood, soul and divinity.  And I'm asking you to take a leap of trust and confidence in the true presence of my Being within the Eucharist.  So, this is given to you that you may know the gift of salvation that I offer, that you may be fed and encouraged within your lives.  But most of all, that you may come to know my healing love; the healing that I desire for each and every one of you to be made whole and holy.  And that can only be obtained when you allow yourself to be still in the moment, and to be able to appreciate and be gracious for that gift that I have given you, not only through the Mass, the Sacraments, but through my Sacred Word.  Tonight, I am pouring upon each one of you a deeper spirit of faith and knowledge of this gift that I have given you."

Confirmation - I can confirm the word.  God has been putting upon my heart in prayer for this evening to be still and be fully present; to be fully present to him when we go before him and to be fully present to each other.

Confirmation of prophecy - A lot of what was said came out in all the homilies this week.  Through the prophecy, he's there in everything, even in the struggle to getting on the website that is so wonderful.

Last week, Valerie talked about Santerem and the miracle showing that God is fully present, Body and Blood in the Eucharist.  During the week, Georgina shared her visit to Santerem.  This week, I have been thinking a lot about that:  full presence of God.  It's a two-way.  He wants us to be fully present when we're with him, shut out all that noise that can distract.  God wants us to make sure we're making that time for him, for that quiet time, to be still and hear him, to be fully present to him so that he can be fully present to us the way he wants to just love on us.

Teaching

Fr. Robert DeGrandis, SSJ spoke on Healing Through The Mass.  Healing is an answer to prayer and operates on 5 levels of our being:  Spiritual, Emotional, Psychological, Relational, Physical.  In Matthew 10:8, Jesus says share the Gospel, preach the Gospel and heal the sick.  John 6:53 - "Unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you shall not have life in you."    At the beginning of the Mass, we have the Penitential Rite where we cry to the Lord for mercy and he asks us to extend mercy to one another.  Unforgiveness can be a blockage.  Matt 5:25 says when you bring your gift to the altar and remember that your brother has something against you, leave your gift at the altar and go be reconciled to your brother.  Prayer of the Faithful is the prayer of the whole body of Christ that is at Mass which can be 500 people.  This is powerful because it's like 500 volts of Jesus.  Sometimes, Fr. would bring people forward who have pain and he would have the 500 or more people extend their hands and inject that person with prayer power.  Almost every time, they were healed of pain.  We should be praying with one another.  Then we move into reading of Scripture at Mass.  When Fr. DeGrandis was pastor at a university, he told the people to come to Mass expecting to be healed because the Mass is a healing service.  Some people received healing during the reading of the Scriptures.  (One woman healed of depression)  Then there's the Homily where Scripture is applied to every day living.  Biggest problem today is family living.  Then we come to the Creed of the Mass where we profess Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.  The Creed of the Mass is our born-again experience prayer.  The Offertory is a time in which the priest, in imitation of the Lord Jesus, offers bread and wine.  But the deeper significance is we are to offer ourselves to the Lord.  The heart of Christianity is surrender to the Lord Jesus Christ.  We can put our family, our burdens and those things that are haunting us in the chalice and give it to the Lord, so he can bring it to his Father; and Fr. feels that there can be deep healing as the wine becomes the blood of Christ.  At the Elevation, there is a power that goes throughout all the church - Fr. finds a lot of healing and a lot of liberation going on at the time of Consecration as the Spirit moves and changes bread and wine into the Body of Christ.  Fr. DeGrandis tells the people that if you need healing to picture a white light flowing from the Host to your body or your mind or your emotions or your spirit.  Moving on to the Our Father - there are three major points in the prayer that open us up to healing.  Praise plus Eucharist plus forgiveness = healing.  There will always be some type of healing when you go high in praise, deep in forgiveness and receive the Healer in Eucharist.  The Blessing at Mass - the priest is asking the Holy Spirit within you to be stirred up to go out and evangelize and pray with one another.  Fr. DeGrandis shared stories of healing and prayed for healing at end of his talk.

Praise Reports

Pat L. shared  that she had people pray for her hand that was broken in three places.  The physiotherapist could not get over the fact that the swelling is down, Pat can move her fingers more than she ever thought Pat could at this time and it's doing well.  Also, there's a healing of her sodium level.  It's normal now.  Praise God!

Patt shared that her husband's visit with their daughter-in-law who is seeking divorce and their grandchildren went fabulously and he was given a beautiful note at the end of the visit.  Thank you, Lord!

Lucie praised God for an answer to prayer.  She had asked for prayers for her son, that he would make the decision to go to a hospital.  By midnight, Lucie and Frank had him at the hospital and he didn't run away.  He was admitted and he stayed one week in detox.  He was stabilized.  It gave him opportunity to reflect on his future.  Most of all it gave him hope.  A few weeks prior, he had been told that his physical condition had advanced with not much time to live; and his cat was lost.  The day after he was admitted, the cat was found.  That news lifted him up.  Also, the hospital took an ultrasound and they found that he was better, not cured, but better!  That gave him a boost of hope for the future.  Then he got a bed at a treatment program at the end of September for 7 weeks.  He needs to stay sober for two more weeks to remain in this program.
