Prophetic Words & Scripture Readings at Live Stream July 2, 2025

Jul 03, 2025

The following are words given by participants at the streamed meeting.  1 Corinthians 14:29 says that "Two or three prophets should speak, and the others weigh carefully what is said."  1 Thess 5:19-21 tells us not to despise prophecies, but to test everything and retain what is good.

Scripture Reading Psalm 23:1-6 - The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want.  He makes me to lie down in green pastures; he leadeth me beside still waters.  He restores my soul; he guides me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.  Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.  You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; you have anointed my head with oil; my cup overfloweth.  Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.

Prophecy - "Fear nothing for I am with you."

Prophetic Sense - This afternoon I took my daughter to her bike club.  During that time, I could hear the Lord speak to me:  During life, we are like my daughter on that bike going in circles, going though life, and he is right there beside us walking and running beside us there.  And Mary is there, too, and our angels.  During a water break, he was right there, too, having that break with her.  And later when a helper had her sitting on the front part of the bike and he was riding in the back.  She had full control of the steering part and he was there just to guide her.  And it was like, "My child"; this is how he walks with us.  It's hard to explain.  I guess it's like "surrender".  It's that trust.  You just go and he's right there with you.  It was such a powerful experience.  It was like, "My child."  He was speaking so loud.  Through our ups and downs, our sorrows and our joys, he's there every step of the way, whatever we are doing.  It's that trust that we really need and to enjoy that moment and let him guide us.

Scripture Reading Proverbs 16:9 & Prophetic Sense - "The heart of a man plans his way, but the Lord establishes his steps."  And I was thinking how we make plans for things and they sort of fall apart and we get discouraged at times, but God is always wiser than we are, way ahead of us.  He knows what our life is about and he has plans for us; so not to become discouraged, he asks us.  He's still working in our life even though we think we fall apart.  He asks us to continue to trust him.

Scripture Reading Isaiah 40:25-26 - To whom can the holy God be compared?  Is there anyone else like him?  Look up at the sky!  Who created the stars you see?  The one who leads them out like an army, he knows how many there are and calls each one by name!  His power is so great  - not one of them is ever missing!

Prophecy - "My little ones, You know that I am always with you.  I'm asking you to never forget it.  I'm also asking that you never go ahead of me.  Wait, wait and stay with me so that I may guide you and lead you.  My Spirit is upon each one of you.  Stay with me.  Stay focused on me.  Do not look at what is around you.  Know that I, alone, is needed.  I am your sole armor.  Take the sword of the Spirit and follow me.  I will use you wherever, whenever I need you.  Be ready but do not go ahead of me.  I love you all and I chose each one of you.  Please, remain focused on me, on me alone."

Confirmation of the last prophecy/Prophecy - "Abide in me and I will abide in you."

Prophecy - "Take courage, I am with you."

Confirmation of all the messages - All the prophecies and readings are confirming something that I've been feeling in my heart.  I am feeling like the dark night of the soul.  The Lord is telling me that there's others in the group that are feeling the same way.  All these readings, all these prophecies are confirming that.  The Lord is giving us consolation and letting us know that we're not alone.

Teaching

Dr. Edward Sri spoke on the amazing story of the Father's love for us.  Story of little boy who made an origami and wanted to show it to his dad.  His dad kept pushing the origami down.  The dad said, "I love what you made, but I love you more and I want to see your face."

God chose to bring us into existence because he wanted to share his love with us.  Because of wounds of original sin our hearts and sin in the world, we don't always enjoy the blessings of that relationship.  Instead there are sorrows, anxieties, etc.  Our Father loves us so much that he doesn't just want to forgive us, he wants to gaze upon us, to heal us of our brokenness, sin, weaknesses, hurts.  Jesus wants to make us into a new creation.

Image of transformation that God wants to make in our lives:  An iron rod put in fire begins to glow, to change.  it doesn't become fire but it begins to take on the properties of fire.  That's what happens to our souls as we are filled with the fire of the Holy Spirit.  We begin to take on the characteristics of Christ himself.  We begin to love like he loves, etc.

If we want that transformation, there are 4 things we need to do in our life (Acts 2:42):  1)  dedicate ourselves to the Apostles' teaching,  2)  to fellowship together,  3)  to the breaking of the bread (pointing to the Eucharist and all the sacraments),  4)  the life of prayer.

1)  There's a battle for our mind.  There's a battle for how we view the world and how we see our life.  What we put in our minds matters.  Romans 2:42 -  St. Paul says, if we want to remain faithful to Jesus, we need to be transformed by the renewal of our mind.  We have to see reality correctly.  We need to fill our mind with the wisdom of the Church, wisdom of the Saints, the Scriptures on a regular basis.  What's the balance in our life?  Is it only stuff from the world?  Do we fill our mind with the right things?

2)  Fellowship - Do we have friends that help build us up?  Our friends are like buttons on an elevator.  They can take you up or take you down.  We want to make sure that we have friends in our lives that support us in our faith, encourage us.  Proverbs 27:17 - As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.  Image of burning barbeque coals:  take one burning coal from the pile and it will lose its heat and flame.

3)  Breaking of the bread (all the sacraments) - Dr. Sri focused on Eucharistic Adoration.  Love wants to be near the one it loves.  The Jesus that walked in Galilee healing the sick, comforting the weak, etc., is the same Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament.  He is waiting for us to spend time with him.  Blessed Carlos said, "When we sit in the sun, we become tanned.  When we put ourselves in front of the Eucharistic Jesus, we become saints."

4)  Daily prayer - I don't have time.  Curtis Martin:  "We all have time.  The question is what are we doing with our time?"  We make time for the things that matter most.  Have a plan.  Put it in your schedule.  Why do we pray daily?  St. Thomas Aquinas:  "The main reason is out of justice."  We owe it to God.  We owe God our lives, our worship, our prayer.  Secondly, it's good for our souls.  It's how we're sanctified.  The third reason:  The people in our life are depending on us being men and women of prayer.

Mother Teresa said a prayer every morning before she went out to serve the poor.  "Shine through us and be so in us that every soul we come in contact with may feel your presence in our soul.  Let them look up and see no longer us, but only Jesus."

John 15:5 - "Without me, you can do nothing."  When Mother Teresa was stretched in apostolic work, she added an extra hour of prayer.  We can't do it on our own.  When we're stretched we turn to God.  Oh Lord, I need you.

Struggles in prayer.  Our mind wanders.  We fall asleep in prayer.  Sometimes, we feel our heart is not in it.  We don't feel the connection.  We don't feel close to God.  Where are you God?  All the Saints felt this way.  Many times when we're not praying well, it could be of something we're doing wrong, letting distractions get in the way.  But sometimes, we are giving our best, but it doesn't go well.  St. Catherine of Siena says that sometimes it's the devil discouraging us to get us to think our prayers are not pleasing to God.  St. Catherine of Siena says, "Just show up."  Every day, just persevere.  An act of the will is an act of love.  St. Thomas Aquinas explained that we're not angels.  We're not going to have perfect attention in prayer but we can at least come with a good intention.

A priest was doing a retreat for Mother Teresa and the sisters in Calcutta.  He had a rough time in prayer.  It didn't go well.  He was feeling discouraged.  He didn't say anything to her but they were walking out of the chapel together and they were talking about the schedule for the day.  All of a sudden, Mother Teresa says, "Stop."  She looked him in the eye and said, "Father, never leave the chapel feeling discouraged.  Never feel you've accomplished nothing.  Give God that nothing."  And she kept walking, "After lunch we're going to do this...."

"If at the time of prayer, it seems that not only been distracted, but you've done nothing at all, never leave that time of prayer angry or bitter with yourself.  Turn to God and give God that nothing."

St. Faustina:  "One has to trust that such moments give greater glory to God than whole hours passed in prayer filled with consolations."  Just trust that in that time of prayer, God is there with me.  Even when I don't feel it, he's there.  The Father only wants to love us and gaze upon us in our time of prayer.  And in the Father's loving gaze, we are changed in Christ's likeness from one degree of glory to another.
