Scripture Reading at beginning of meeting: Micah 4:1-2 - "In days to come the mount of the Lord's house shall be established higher than the mountains; it shall rise high above the hills, and peoples shall stream to it: Many nations shall come, and say, "Come, let us climb the mount of the Lord, to the house of the God of Jacob, that he may instruct us in his ways, that we may walk in his paths." For from Zion shall go forth instruction, and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem."
Prophecy: For the Surrender song, I looked over at a picture I have of the Holy Face of Jesus, and when I looked over what came to me was, Jesus was saying, "Surrender to my Father." Out of love, Jesus died on the cross for us, so he surrendered to the Father.
Scripture Reading: Lamentations 3:22 - "The favors of the Lord are not exhausted, his mercies are not spent; they are renewed each morning, so great is his faithfulness. My portion is the Lord, says my soul; therefore will I hope in him."
I think the songs, I Surrender All, and, Have Your Way, that's what the Lord wants us to do is to surrender everything and to have his way. What we may want is what we think is best for us, may not be what the Lord has for us. I guess the question is, "Do we really surrender and do we really want his way or do we want our way?" Something to think about.
Prophecy: "My children, I love you so dearly that I gave my life up for you. I gave up my life for you so that my Spirit may live within you. My children, it is my Spirit that is going to give you that new life that you desire. It is my Spirit that is going to lift your hearts up and be renewed. My children, believe, believe that I live within you. Believe that I act and I enlighten within you. Come, come, my children, for I love you dearly."
Natalie gave a teaching on "The Spoken Word". Psalm 33:6 - "By the word of the Lord the heavens were made; by the breath of his mouth all their host." Hebrews 11:3 - "The universe was created by the word of God, so that what is seen was not made out of things that are visible." Isaiah 55:11 - "So shall my word be that goes forth from my mouth; it shall not return to me void, but shall do my will, achieving the end for which I sent it." Numbers 20:8 - "Take the staff and assemble the community, you and your brother Aaron, and in their presence order the rock to yield its waters. From the rock you shall bring forth water for the community and their livestock to drink." Jeremiah 23:28-29 - "Let the one who has my word speak it truthfully. Is not my word like fire, declares the Lord, and like a hammer that breaks a rock in pieces? Jesus quoted the Scriptures when he was tempted by the devil in the desert. He spoke with authority. Acts 4:29-30 - "Grant to your servants even as they speak your words complete assurance by stretching forth your hand in cures and signs and wonders to be worked in the name of Jesus, your holy servant." St. John Chrysostum: God's word is a projectile into the air doing an airstrike. Reinhard Bonnke: The Word of God is not just 2000 years ago. It's alive and active today" (Heb 4:12). I read that the words of Jesus in your mouth are still his words. Mark 11:22-23 - "Put your trust in God. I solemnly assure you, whoever says to this mountain, 'Be lifted up and thrown into the sea, and has no inner doubts, but believes that what he says will happen, shall have it done for him.'" Phil 4:19 - My God shall supply all my needs, according to his riches in glory. Romans 8:37 - I am more than a conqueror through him that loves me. John 8:31-32 - "The truth shall set you free." 1 Cor 10:13 - I know Lord that you will not let me be tried beyond my strength. (our story of building a home on spec.) The more senses we use, the more we will integrate the message. Story of Derek Prince: Sick, didn't have faith God would heal him. God enlightened him through Romans 10:17: "Faith comes from hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ." God was telling him that if he didn't have faith, he could get it. He spoke God's healing Scriptures over himself three times a day for three months as God's medicine. He was completely cured.
The prophetic word that is spoken can also have an impact.
Acts 3 - "Silver and gold I have none; but what I have I give thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, arise and walk." "Why your wonder and surprise, as if we made this man sound by our own power? No, it is by the power of Jesus that this man walks." Bible dictionary: "The one who pronounces the name speaks with the power of the one who sends him." Praying "in the name of Jesus."
Lives are affected and changed by praising the Lord. Paul and Silas were flogged and thrown into jail. But they prayed and sang hymns to God. They were probably singing the Psalms. At midnight, God sent an earthquake and set them free. Our story of Life in the Spirit seminar at maximum security at Stony Mountain after some women walked around it praising God. John 6:63 - "The words I have spoken to you are spirit and are life."
