The following are words given by participants at the streamed meeting. 1 Corinthians 14:29 says that "Two or three prophets should speak, and the others weigh carefully what is said." 1 Thess 5:19-21 tells us not to despise prophecies, but to test everything and retain what is good.
Scripture Reading at beginning of meeting, Psalm 145:1-5 - I will extol you, O my God and King, and I will bless your name forever and ever. Every day will I bless you, and I will praise your name forever and ever. Great is the Lord and highly to be praised; his greatness is unsearchable. Generation after generation praises your works and proclaims your might. They speak of the splendor of your glorious majesty and tell of your wondrous works.
Scripture Reading Psalm 38:18-22 - I confess my iniquity; I am sorry for my sin. Those who are my foes without cause are mighty, and many are those who hate me wrongfully. Those who render me evil for good are my adversaries because I follow after good. Do not forsake me, O Lord; O my God, do not be far from me; make haste to help me, O Lord, my salvation.
Scripture Reading John 15:5-7 - I am the vine, you are the branches; he who abides in me and I in him, he bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing. If anyone does not abide in me, he is thrown away as a branch and dries up; and they gather them, and cast them into the fire and they are burned. If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.
Scripture Reading Hebrews 13:20-21 - May the God of peace, who brought up from the dead the great Shepherd of the sheep by the blood of the eternal covenant, Jesus our Lord, furnish you with all that is good, that you may do his will. Through Jesus Christ may he carry out in you all that is pleasing to him. To Christ be glory forever! Amen.
Vision - Near the end of the praise and worship I saw this cloud. It was almost like pillowy and then I saw someone who kind of looked like a grandmother. I understood that to be our saints who are with us, the cloud of witnesses; that we can go to our saints.
Prophecy - "Do not despair, my people, I am with you until the end of time.
Vision/Prophetic Sense/Word of Knowledge - I got a vision of kind of fuzziness, unclarity. I couldn't see clearly. I got the sense that someone was watching this; this someone was very upset.
Prophetic Sense - I just have the sense to thank the Lord for his faithfulness; that even in the dark times as well as the good times, the Lord is faithful and he is always with us.
Scripture Reading Acts 8:19 - Give me also this power, that on whomsoever I lay hands he may receive the Holy Ghost.
From the book, "Jesus Is Calling" - "You are my beloved child. I chose you before the foundation of the world to walk with me along the path designed uniquely for you. Concentrate on keeping in step with me instead of trying to anticipate my plan for you. If you trust that my plans are to prosper you and not to harm you, you can relax and enjoy the present moment. Your hope and your future are rooted in heaven where eternal ecstasy awaits you. Nothing can rob you of your inheritance of unimaginable riches and well being. Sometimes I grant you glimpses of your glorious future to encourage you and spur you on, but remain focused to be staying close to me. I set the pace in keeping with your needs and my purposes." Eph 1:4 - Just as he chose us in him before the foundation of the world, that we would be holy and blameless before him. Proverbs 16:9 - In his heart a man plans his course, but the Lord determines his steps. Jeremiah 29:11 - "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Ephesians 1:13-14 - And you also were included in Christ when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation. Having believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God's possession - to the praise of his glory.
Scripture Reading Luke 6:46 - "Why do you call me, 'Lord, Lord,' and do not do what I say?"
Allison Bottke spoke on setting healthy boundaries with our adult children. She used the acronym, SANITY, for parents.
S - Stop negative behavior - stop the flow of money, stop making excuses, stop coming to the rescue, stop your own issues, stop your own fear and guilt.
A - Assemble a support group - Accountability. Also, you realize you're not alone.
N - Nip excuses in the bud - the children become master manipulators in many cases; excuse after another.
I - Implement rules and boundaries - write a plan and present it to child. It's no longer mercy, step back; parent hanging on to them too long. Changing our own behavior.
T - Trust your instincts - listen to your heart.
Y - Yield to God - Giving in is not giving up. Letting go of expectations. One day at a time. It will be painful. Surrender. God will help you.
Parents need to apologize. "I'm sorry that I didn't trust you enough to live your life. I'm sorry that I didn't give you the independence that you needed to grow on your own. I'm sorry that I kept bailing you out. I'm sorry that I didn't believe in you enough."
I'm sorry that I didn't take care of myself. God has a plan for us, as well as our children.
Leslie B - Last week we prayed for her son's depression. It has lifted. She thanked everyone for the prayers and thank you, Lord.
Leslie MJ - She had a safe and successful trip to visit her sister. Thank you, Lord.
Martha - Her son has returned safely from the Camino Walk. Thank you, Lord.
