Prophetic Words & Scripture Readings at Live Stream October 25, 2023

The following are words given by participants at the streamed meeting.  1 Corinthians 14:29 says that "Two or three prophets should speak, and the others weigh carefully what is said."  1 Thess 5:19-21 tells us not to despise prophecies, but to test everything and retain what is good. 

I see Jesus walking on the water.

Scripture Reading Hosea 14:1-3 - "Return, O Israel, to the Lord your God, for you have stumbled because of your inequity.  Take words with you and return to the Lord; say to him, "Take away all guilt; accept that which is good, and we will offer the fruit of our lips.  Assyria shall not save us; we will not ride upon horses; we will say no more, 'Our God,' to the work of our hands.  In you the orphan finds mercy.""

Scripture Reading Isaiah 54:10 - "For the mountains may depart and the hills be removed, but my steadfast love shall not depart from you, and my covenant of peace shall not be removed, says the Lord, who has compassion on you."

Scripture Reading Lamentations 3:22-24 - "The favors of the Lord are not exhausted, his mercies are not spent; they are renewed each morning, so great is his faithfulness.  My portion is the Lord, says my soul; therefore will I hope in him."

Confirmation/Prophecy - "Nothing can separate us from the love of God."

Scripture Reading John 10:10 - "I have come so that they may have life and have it to the full.  I am the Good Shepherd."

Scripture Reading Matthew 6:7-8 - "In praying, do not babble like the pagans, who think that they will be heard because of their many words.  Do not be like them.  Your Father knows what you need before you ask him."

Prophecy - "Rest in me, my children, rest in me.  Come to me with all your pain and all your troubles and all your worries and anxieties.  For I am the God who frees my people from the suffering.  My children, I love you.  I have given you my Son, my Son who sacrificed himself for you.  Tonight, I'm asking you for an act of faith, a faith that will shake the mountains, a faith that will renew the world, a faith that will bring you peace.  For I desire to heal you, my children.  I desire to make you whole and free.  The freedom that I am offering to you tonight is not the freedom that the world perceives, but it is the freedom of the heart, of the mind and of the soul. This is the kind of freedom that will give you peace and wholeness.  This is the kind of freedom that will lead you to holiness and righteousness.  For I have called you to come to know me through you obedience, through you surrender and through you offering yourselves as a sacrifice out of love for me.  This journey you will not travel alone.  This journey I will be with you every step of the way.

Prophecy - "My children, the time has come to tell people about me, to  show them that I am good, to show them that I am coming.  I'm coming to change the world.  I'm coming to heal the broken.  I'm coming to bring you all home.  Praise me.  Do not hide because of fear.  Praise me out loud and stand strong."

Word of Knowledge - "Home is where the heart is.  Home is being part of my kingdom of love.  Home is both here on earth as it is in heaven.  Home is where love exists."

Scripture Reading John 14:1-4 - "Do not let your hearts be troubled.  Have faith in God and faith in me.  In my Father's house there are many dwelling places; otherwise how could I have told you that I was going to prepare a place for you.  I am  indeed going to prepare a place for you, and then I shall come back to take you with me; that where I am you also may be.  You know the way that leads where I go."

Teaching

Fr. DeGrandis spoke on "Jesus Heals Today".  Healing: 1) on the spiritual level which is most important.  Jesus came to save us spiritually.  2) on the psychological level - the way we think.  Do we think with the world or do we think with the Lord Jesus.  Most of us are half way between those two.  3) of the emotions; the fear, the guilt, the anger.  Many stuff their anger.  4) physical - a) serious illness like back problem, sinus problem, arthritis.  You can live with it but it blocks your ability to love with the fullness intensity.  b)  more serious would be life threatening illnesses: heart problems, cancer.  c) most serious would be the congenital: birth defects, Down syndrome.  Fr. DeGrandis sees a lot of healings from serious illnesses.  In the area of more serious illnesses, he sees a certain amount of healings.  In the third area, he sees little healing.  By the Sacrament of Confirmation, every one of us is called to pray for healing.  Matthew 10:8 - "Preach the Gospel and heal the sick."  "Mark 1:32 - "When it was evening after sunset, they brought to him all those who were ill or possessed by demons.  And the whole town was gathered at the door and he cured many who were sick of various diseases and he  drove out many demons, not permitting them to speak because they knew him."  Mark 1:35 - "Rising very early in the morning before dawn, he went off to a deserted place where he prayed.  Simon and those who were with him pursued him.  And on finding him said, "Everyone is looking for you."  He told them, "Let us go to the nearby villages that I may preach there.  For this purpose I have come."  To preach and to heal - both are the work of the Spirit.  Theme of the New Testament is healing.  There is healing in sharing, in articulating our emotions.  You are being healed spiritually every time you pray for someone.
