Prophetic Words & Scripture Readings at Live Stream May 31, 2023

Jun 01, 2023

The following are words given by participants at the streamed meeting.  1 Corinthians 14:29 says that "Two or three prophets should speak, and the others weigh carefully what is said."  1 Thess 5:19-21 tells us not to despise prophecies, but to test everything and retain what is good.

Jesus is always coming and he always tells me to worship him and his holy name every day and every night.

Prophecy - "My children, blessings are coming, big blessings are on their way."

Scripture Reading - When we were singing the hymn, "What a wonderful name it is, what a wonderful name it is, the name of Jesus," and then, "Bless the Lord, O my soul, worship his holy name," I like to echo this reverence to the name of Jesus by quoting Isaiah 9:6 - "And his name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace."

I got an opportunity to go to the Handel's Messiah Concert with the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra and they sang that song and I was just in awe, it was just like how you can be...., do not know the Lord but such a beautiful song just speaks out the power of God's name.

Scripture Reading Matt 8:13 - It's about the Centurion whose servant was ill and Jesus said, "Go back then, you have believed.  So, let this be done for you.  And the servant was cured at that moment."  He said the word, he believed, and Jesus did the miracle.

Scripture Reading Sirach 3:17-24 - "My child, perform your tasks with humility, then you will be loved by those whom God accepts.  The greater you are, the more you must humble yourself; so you will find favor in the sight of the Lord.  For great is the might of the Lord; but by the humble he is glorified.  Neither seek what is too difficult for you, nor investigate what is beyond your power.  Reflect upon what you have been commanded, for what is hidden is not your concern.  Do not meddle in matters that are beyond you, for more than you can understand has been shown you.  For their conceit has led many astray, and wrong opinion has impaired their judgment."

Scripture Reading Joel 2:28-30, the Outpouring of the Spirit - "After this, I shall pour out my Spirit on all humanity:  your sons and daughters shall prophesy, your old people shall dream dreams, and your young people shall see visions.  Even on the slaves, men and women, shall I pour out my Spirit in those days.  I shall show portents in the sky and on earth, blood and fire, and columns of smoke."

Scripture Reading Philippians 4:13 - "I can do all things in him who strengthens me."

Scripture Reading 1 Peter 1:3 - "Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.  In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade.  This inheritance is kept in heaven for you, who through faith are shielded by God's power until the coming of the salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last time.  In all this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have to suffer grief in all kinds of trials.  These have come so that the proven gentleness of your faith - of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire - may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed."

Prophecy - I've been sick for a week and all the Lord has been telling me in this time is, "Just offer the sufferings and the trials to me and I could do wonders to the world through your offerings and trust in my love."

Some time ago, we were talking about tears and whether God has them counted or in a bottle, and this and that.  We were all wondering.  I came across the reference and it's Psalm 56, and it's a "record".

Teaching

Joan spoke on God's Timing - a sharing on a recent event.  On May 10, a prophetic word was given:  "My children, call on me and I will be there.  Seek me and you shall find me.  Everything in my time, my children.  I know the plan that I have for you.  I see your struggles and I feel your pain.  All in my time.  Everything will fall into place.  Do not for one second think I have forgotten you."  That word was right on for just what Joan had experienced.  The Lord was teaching Joan.  After a difficult move to a retirement home of a lady in her 80's from their apartment block, the elderly lady wanted her furniture to go to people who could use it, not to be sold.  Joan's granddaughter, husband and a young couple came to look.  The young couple were setting up their home and wanted quite a few items.  The granddaughter's husband offered to move the furniture to their place.  The elderly lady's niece overheard this and asked him if he would move furniture to the retirement home as well, and she would pay him.  He said, "Oh sure, you don't need to pay me."  She said, "No, no, I'll pay you."  And she took his email address.  As the days passed, Joan was very upset when she heard he had not been paid.  He had worked so hard and Joan knew he doesn't have much money.  She would have been happy if they had reimbursed him for the gas.  Joan was upset but he wasn't.  Joe spoke to the person who had power of attorney and who agreed to send him the money.  However, after a number of tries to send an e-transfer, it didn't go through.  Joan wondered, "Why is this so difficult?"  Then she thought, "I give up.  Maybe he won't get the money, but the Lord will bless him in other ways."  The next day, Joe and Joan received a phone call from their granddaughter's husband with excitement in his voice.  The e-transfer had come through, but he had a story to tell.  That morning he removed an outside wall in the kitchen he is renovating.  He discovered there is no insulation and he didn't have the money for it.  He had budgeted for the renovation and he didn't have any extra money.  That afternoon, the e-transfer came in and it was the exact amount he needed for the foam insulation.  He said if the money had come a few days earlier, he probably would have put it somewhere else.  But instead, it came when he needed it most.  The timing was perfect.  Joan sees 2 lessons from all this:  1) Trust in the Lord and lean not on your own understanding.  Wait on the Lord, he hears all our prayers and he will answer.  2) At our prayer meetings, we have a time of prayer and praise, and then we wait for words from the Lord.  If you have a sentence or a Scripture passage, an image or even just a word that's floating through your mind and it keeps coming back, speak it out.  You have no idea what the Lord is going to do with it.  It may mean nothing to you, but it's meant for someone in the group, someone who needs to hear that word.  Just like Joan needed to hear that word that Wednesday night.

Sharing

Patt shared about the time she needed spending money for a trip.  She was told to pray Deut 11:11 for 11 days.  She did and the money came in: loan was paid back, the government sent her money that was overpaid in her taxes.

Man's plans, God redesigns.  With God there is always an appointed time.  Ecc 3:1.  "To everything there is a season."

Scripture Reading Hebrews 10:23 - "Let us hold on firmly to the hope we profess, because we can trust God to keep his promise."
