Prophetic Words & Scripture Readings at Live Stream May 3, 2023

May 04, 2023

The following are words given by participants at the streamed meeting.  1 Corinthians 14:29 says that "Two or three prophets should speak, and the others weigh carefully what is said."  1 Thess 5:19-21 tells us not to despise prophecies, but to test everything and retain what is good.

At beginning of meeting Scripture Reading John 10:7-9 - "My solemn word is this:  I am the sheepgate.  All who came before me were thieves and marauders whom the sheep did not heed.  I am the gate.  Whoever enters through me will be safe.  He will go in and out, and find pasture."

Scripture Reading Psalm 139:1-10 - The song that really stood out for me, that really spoke to me was, 'It is your breath in our lungs and sing out our praises to you alone."  Psalm 139 - "Lord, you have probed me and you know me, you know when I sit and when I stand, you understand my thoughts from afar, my journeys and my rest you scrutinize, with all my ways you are familiar.  Even before a word is on my tongue, behold O Lord, you know the whole of it; behind me and before me you hem me in, and rest your hand upon me.  Such knowledge is too wonderful for me, too lofty for me to attain.  Where can I go from your spirit?  From your presence where can I flee?  If I go to the heavens, you are there, if I sink to the netherworld, you are there.  If I take the wings of the dawn, if I settle at the farthest limits of the sea, even there, your hand shall guide me, and your right hand hold me fast."

Scripture Reading Isaiah 44:6-8 (It's about the true God and false god) - "Thus says the Lord, Israel's king and redeemer, the Lord of hosts, "I am the first and I am the last.  There is no God but me.  Who is like me?  Let him stand up and speak, make it evident and confront me with it.  Who of old announced future events?  Let them foretell to us the things to come.  Fear not, be not troubled.  Did I not announce and foretell it long ago?  You are my witnesses.  Is there a God or any Rock, place of refuge, besides me?"

Scripture Reading Isaiah 51:4-6 - "Listen to me, my people, and give heed to me, my nation; for a teaching will go out from me, and my justice for a light to the peoples.  I will bring near my deliverance swiftly, my salvation has gone out and my arms will rule the peoples; the coastlands wait for me, and for my arm they hope.  Lift up your eyes to the heavens, and look at the earth beneath; for the heavens will vanish like smoke, the earth will wear out like a garment, and those who live on it will die like gnats, but my salvation will be forever, and my deliverance will never be ended."

Scripture Reading Romans 12:4-8 - "We have many parts in the one body, and all these parts have different functions.  In the same way, though we are many, we are one body in union with Christ, and we are all joined to each other as different parts of one body.  So we are to use our different gifts in accordance with the grace that God has given us.  If our gift is to speak God's message, we should do it according to the faith that we have; if it is to serve, we should serve; if it is to teach, we should teach; if it is to encourage others, we should do so.  Whoever shares with others should do it generously; whoever has authority should work hard; whoever shows kindness to others should do it cheerfully."

Scripture Reading Sirach 2:7-11 - "You who fear the Lord, wait for his mercy, turn not away lest you fall.  You who fear the Lord, trust him, and your reward will not be lost.  You who fear the Lord, hope for good things, for lasting joy and mercy.  Study the generations long past and understand; has anyone hoped in the Lord and been disappointed?  Has anyone persevered in his fear and been forsaken?  Has anyone called upon him and been rebuffed?  Compassionate and merciful is the Lord; he forgives sins, he save in time of trouble."

Words of Knowledge - List of healings:  Blurry vision, healing of cataracts, glaucoma, macular degenerative eye diseases, of a constant runny nose.  A young child between the ages of 2 to 3 years will be healed of leukemia.  Pray for faith for the child's parents.  Someone will be gifted with courage and determination to stay on a diet.  Healing of both knees - you will not need the surgery.  Someone will be getting a job.  You have been gifted with healing prayer, but are too unsure of using it.  The Lord will free you and give you the courage to do so.  Many gifts are given to this group.

Scripture Reading Proverbs 3:5-10 - "Trust in the Lord with all your heart. Never rely on what you think you know.  Remember the Lord in everything you do, and he will show you the right way.  Never let yourself think that you are wiser than you are; simply obey the Lord and refuse to do wrong.  If you do, it will be like good medicine, healing your wounds and easing your pains.  Honor the Lord by making him an offering from the best of all that your land produces.  If you do, your barns will be filled with grain, and you will have too much wine to store it all."

Scripture Reading Psalm 93:1-2 - The songs were very uplifting tonight.  The one that resonated with me was, "Our God reigns."  Psalm 93 - "The Lord reigns, He is clothed with majesty; the Lord has clothed and girded himself with strength.  Indeed, the world is firmly established; it will not be moved.  Your throne is established from of old; you are from everlasting."

Prophecy - This morning, the word that came to me was, "The Lord dwells in the praises of his people."  And I think some of these songs that we sang really confirm that.  I was asking the Lord, "We're all separated from each other.  We're not together praising you."  But in fact, we are together and I felt the Lord saying, "I am with you."

Teaching

Max Lucado's talk was from a series on "What Happens When Grace Happens."  Ephesians 2:8 - "For by grace you have been saved through faith, and this is not from you; it is the gift of God; it is not from works, so no one may boast."   We are all sinners.  Isaiah 53:6 - "We had all gone astray like sheep, each following his own way."  S-I-N - We choose "I" over God.  Sin is serious.  Sin makes a big deal out of "I" and a small deal out of God.  We need to realize the gravity of sin.  God has a great dream and that dream is a new kingdom and that new kingdom is going to be populated by people from every tribe, tongue and nation; that kingdom will be populated by people who have agreed that he is the king and not them.  Once we understand the wonders of God's plan for us, then we can see the beauty of his provision for us.  God saves sinners.  God saves those who agree that they need grace, that they are in need of forgiveness.  Romans 4:5 - God justifies the wicked.  Isaiah 55:1 - "Come all you who are thirsty, come to the water!  You who have no money, come, receive grain and eat; come, without paying and without cost, drink wine and milk."  "Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of God."   Jesus said, "I have come not to call the righteous but sinners."  God has a plan to populate his kingdom with reformed resurrectionists and rebels who will spend all of eternity pondering the wonders of this amazing grace.

Praise Reports

Mark shared that he is a skeptic of many things.  When he is praying the Rosary daily, he generally imagines Revelation 12:1, Mary clothed with the sun, moon at her feet, 12 stars on her head.  About 4 or 5 weeks ago, Mark started praying his Rosary and this time, he saw Mary, but this time she was holding a bouquet of roses, half white and half red.  He thought that this was interesting and where did this thought come from?  A couple of days ago, Mark received a letter.  He had forgotten that about three months ago, he had received a letter from an organization looking for donations and if you donated so much money, they took the donation to Medjugorje and presented it to Our Lady.  They would present roses at the foot of Mary.  The letter that he had just received reminded him that he had given that donation.  Mark put the two together.  His response, "Wow."....... The Blessed Mother was showing Mark she received his roses.

Helen reported that her knee surgery went very well and her recovery is continuing well, too.  She thanked everyone for all the prayers.
