The following are words given by participants at the streamed meeting. 1 Corinthians 14:29 says that "Two or three prophets should speak, and the others weigh carefully what is said." 1 Thess 5:19-21 tells us not to despise prophecies, but to test everything and retain what is good.
Jesus is always there for us. He always walks with us. He always talks with us every night.
Scripture Reading Hosea 5:1-4 - "Hear this, O priests! Give heed, O house of Israel! Hearken, O house of the king! For the judgment pertains to you; for you have been a snare at Mizpah, and a net spread upon Tabor. And they have made deep the pit of Shittim, but I will punish all of them. I know Ephraim, and Israel is not hidden from me; for now, O Ephraim, you have played the whore, Israel is defiled. Their deeds do not permit them to return to their God. For the spirit of whoredom is within them, and they know not the Lord."
Scripture Reading Psalm 62:5-8 - "My soul wait in silence for God only, for my hope is from him. He only is my rock and my salvation, my stronghold; I shall not be shaken. On God my salvation and my glory rest; the rock of my strength, my refuge is in God. Trust in him at all times, O people; pour out your heart before him; God is a refuge for us."
Words of Knowledge - "Vocal cords were damaged at one time and they will be healed and you will sing again. Somebody has acid reflux and a gastric ulcer, cancer of the pancreas, painful leg - surgery will not be needed. A painful back. A grandchild will get admittance to day care. And He will help a person get their Grade 12 certificate in order to go back to school."
Scripture Reading Psalm 103:1-5 - "Praise the Lord, my soul! All my being, praise his holy name! Praise the Lord, my soul, and do not forget how kind he is. He forgives all my sins and heals all my diseases. He keeps me from the grave and blesses me with love and mercy. He fills my life with good things, so that I stay young and strong like an eagle."
Word of Knowledge - "I have a sense that there is someone who is in the grip of a sinful habit or sinful thought and feels overcome by it. Jesus would like you to know that he loves you and wants to set you free and to trust in him."
Always trust in God no matter what happens.
Prophecy - "My little ones, you must know by now that none of you are worthy of me. But remember that I have created you. You are mine and your worth is in me. I have paid the price to redeem you. I have suffered on the cross. Leave your sins with me. Leave them on the cross. Go forward; walk in my name. Walk with me. Do not look at your weaknesses and at your lowliness. Look at me. Keep your eyes focused on me. I am your strength. I am your redeemer. I am your God. I'm your Father, you are my children. Depend on me. Trust in me. I will bring you through. I will be your strength, your power. Do not look at your weaknesses. Look at me who am your strength. You will never make it on your own. You must walk in my footsteps. You must stay so close to me that you see nothing else. You are mine. You are mine forever. Believe me. Trust me."
The third talk of the Life in the Spirit Seminar entitled, "The New Life", was presented by Rosalie. John 10:10, Matthew 3:11, Acts 2:1-4, Gal 5:22-23. Rosalie's story. God has a plan for each one of us. The gifts of the Holy Spirit may be strengthened through time and as we need them. God will always be there to guide us and bring us back on track. Just remember that the evil one is a liar, a thief and a murderer. There's always the possibility that the evil one will put doubts in our mind. God told us in Acts 2 that when the Holy Spirit comes upon us, we become a changed person.
Lucie - Her brother-in-law had refused to go to the hospital; and now his discomfort has eased and he has started to eat a little bit. Lucie takes that as God's sign of answered prayer because she believes the Lord wishes him to continue to live so that he can get her sister settled somewhere. Lucie thanked everyone for their prayers.
Joan has been asking all of us to pray that their grandson get a job. He got a job. Joan thanked the Lord.
Pat B had a praise report. She lost 16 pounds. She is on a diabetic medication and she is following a diabetic diet and getting online training. Thanks be to God!
Frank shared on how the Holy Spirit worked. His brother passed away a week ago. Once the hospital staff realized that he wasn't going to make it, the family was called in. He could hear and when they mentioned his name, he kind of moaned. He was in kind of a semi-coma. He couldn't talk anymore. The priest came in to give the last rites. This priest knew him for years. Actually he was the one who officiated at his marriage. When the priest went to him and said, "George," Frank's brother's eyes opened. He had the most beautiful smile and glow on his face. He looked at the priest and said, "You came?" With his whole family there, they were able to say a real nice goodbye from each one of them. Frank really, really thanked the Holy Spirit that even in those last moments, he was able to say goodbye to his family, his children. Frank thanked the Lord that even in those last moments that he can still work a miracle. Frank's nephew said that he had the most beautiful smile that he had ever seen on him. What a beautiful memory for the family to have. Thank you Lord!!
David thanked God for his wife's surgery a week and half ago. They had a follow-up with the surgeon yesterday and everything is fantastic. That went very well. David praised God.
