Prophetic Words & Scripture Readings at Live Stream December 6, 2023

Dec 07, 2023

The following are words given by participants at the streamed meeting.  1 Corinthians 14:29 says that "Two or three prophets should speak, and the others weigh carefully what is said."  1 Thess 5:19-21 tells us not to despise prophecies, but to test everything and retain what is good.

Scripture Reading at beginning of meeting Psalm 23 - "The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.  In verdant pastures he gives me repose; beside restful waters he leads me; he refreshes my soul.  He guides me in right paths for his name's sake.  Even though I walk in the dark valley I fear no evil; for you are at my side with your rod and your staff that give me courage.  You spread the table before me in the sight of my foes; you anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.  Only goodness and kindness follow me all the days of my life; and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord for years to come."

Vision - As we were doing the worship songs, I had a beautiful vision of Jesus standing with his arms spread wide out gathering us all in and gathering in all our praise and worship.

Scripture Reading Sirach 28:12-14 - "If you blow upon a spark, it quickens into a flame; if you spit on it, it dies out, yet both you do with your mouth.  Curse the gossips, and the double-tongued, for they destroy the peace of many.  A meddlesome tongue subverts many and makes them refugees among the peoples; it destroys walled cities, and overthrows powerful dynasties."

Scripture Reading Psalm 16:8-11 - "I have set the Lord continuously before me; because he is at my right hand, I will not be shaken.  Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoices; my flesh also will dwell securely.  For you will not abandon my soul to Sheol nor will you allow your holy one to undergo decay.  You will make known to me the path of life.  In your presence is fullness of joy; in your right hand there are pleasures forever."

Scripture Reading Galatians 1:15-16 - "But God in his grace chose me even before I was born, and called me to serve him.  And when he decided to reveal his Son to me, so that I might preach the Good News about him to the Gentiles, I did not go to anyone for advice."  I feel he's just saying to us tonight again we got to preach the Good News, got to talk about Jesus and tell others about his Son.

All the songs when I was listening to them, what came across to me was we have to take the action.  We have to worship, we have to bow, we have to love and be strong every day and God gives us the power.  I guess that's in the theme of being a missionary for the Lord.

Scripture Reading 1 Peter 4:10-11 - "As each one has received a gift, use it to serve one another as good stewards of God's varied grace.  Whoever preaches, let it be with the words of God; whoever serves, let it be with the strength that God supplies, so that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom belong glory and dominion forever and ever.  Amen."

Scripture Reading Psalm 116:5-9 - "the Lord is gracious and righteous; our God is full of compassion.  The Lord protects the simplehearted; when I was in great need, he saved me.  Be at rest once more, O my sou, for the Lord has been good to you.  For you, O Lord, have delivered my soul from death, my eyes from tears, my feet from stumbling that I may walk before the Lord in the land of the living."

Teaching

An interview with Fr. Gino Henriques, CSsR - Fr. Gino said that his family inspired his priesthood.  When he was ordained, he had a God experience when he lay on the floor of the altar.  The thought that came to his mind was,Every one is called to be Charismatic, not just a small group that meet for a prayer meeting "Lord, I am nothing, you are everything."  He felt called to be a missionary and a preacher.  He became a Redemptorist priest. Gino was given the Gift of Knowledge; when exercised many were healed.  Fr. Gino said that the Charismatic Renewal is not a movement.  Charismatic Renewal is basic Christian renewal.  The Church is Charismatic.  To be Catholic is to be Charismatic.  Every one is called to be Charismatic, not just a small group who meet for a prayer meeting.  The Charismatic Renewal must take the Renewal to everyone in the Church, to make the whole Church Charismatic.  Fr. Gino said this in 1981.  Now, Pope Frances said that he wants Life in the Spirit seminar done in every parish in the world.  It's learning to walk in the Spirit, pray in the Spirit, live in the Spirit.  Jesus' ministry was preaching, teaching and healing.  In the Church, we preach, we teach but we don't heal.  This is a gift that we're not using enough. Fr. Gino feels that the Church has to go more into the healing ministry.  We will evangelize more people.  Jesus heals even today!  Fr. Gino was involved in Evangelization 2000.  The next big date is 2033:  the greatest Jubilee:  death, resurrection, Pentecost.  Now, they call themselves 2033.  The goal of 2033 is to put evangelization in Catholic conscience.  They want every Catholic to know he or she is called to evangelize.  Evangelize doesn't mean that you have do big things.  You evangelize, God will do big things.  Evangelization teams have been set up all over the world.  Challenges:  To get into some countries.  Fr. Gino went to the apostolic nuncios and through the nuncios he spoke to the bishops, etc.  Challenge is to know the culture and how through the culture they may evangelize.  The second challenge is that some of the countries agree with you:  you must evangelize but they say we have to respect the culture of the people, so don't go too much into evangelization.  And so the percentage of Catholics is so little.  Fr. Gino said that the culture is not the ultimate.  God is the ultimate.  Fr. Gino believes that he does nothing, God does everything.  Fr. is only his instrument and he tells him what to do.  He's the one who gives the energy and he's the one who gives any success.  Jesus is the Lord of their culture.  They don't know it.  You have to bring Jesus to them.  Lukewarmness:  We must accept the fact that God is in charge of everything.  There are changes in the world, particularly technology which brings in many ideas.  We are living in a splintered world.  The church is not aloof from this.  There is a certain lukewarmness in the hearts of Catholics.  In the U.S. 30-40% youth believe in the Blessed Sacrament.  62% believe that Jesus is in the tabernacle.  We need the Holy Spirit!  We need the Baptism of the Spirit!  We have to bring back the Spirit of God.  The worldly values may change but the Church does not change.  Jesus is Lord of heaven and earth.  That never changes. The way we live that witnesses to that.  We need the power of the Holy Spirit.  That is why we have to train leaders in the Church, particularly in youth, because the youth are the ones who are not leaders of tomorrow, they are leaders today.  They are in the world of today.  And not only the youth who are in their 20's or early 30's, but 15-20 years.  Those between 15 and 20 know more today than we did at that age.  So, step out.  Don't be backward to expect miracles to happen.  Healings will take place, other things will happen.

Praise Reports

Richard's results of his test showed no cancer.  Thank you, Lord.  Thank you for your prayers.

David - his spiritual brother, Todd, had polyps that they were concerned about.  He just got the report back and they said, "Don't worry.  We'll see you in ten years.  You're fine.  There's nothing wrong."  That was a huge answer to prayer.  Thank you, Lord.

Rosalie has been asking for prayers for energy.  She had a flu of some kind.  Once she got over it, all of a sudden she has energy to accomplish a lot.  She said, "That's a miracle."

Rosalie also said that their middle son, Craig and his wife, Claire, had been expecting a baby but unfortunately the baby did not make it.  But they just found out that they are expecting again.  Everything is looking good this time.  Thank you, Lord.  Rosalie asked for continued prayers that they will have a healthy baby in June.

Lynn wanted to give a thanksgiving.  She has had trouble with the medication for a colonoscopy.  Last week we prayed that it would go better this time.  The medication went down very easy.  She did not get sick from it. She thanked everyone for our prayers.

Monika said that Cam is continuously doing well after his heart surgery.  Praise God!  She thanked everyone for the prayers.

Margaret thanked everyone for their prayers for her great great nephew, Roman, the baby that had heart surgery on day 5, again in two months.  He's now 5 months old and so far, so good.  He still needs open heart but things are looking good.  Thank God for that!
