Prophetic Words & Scripture Readings at Live Stream April 24, 2024

Apr 25, 2024

The following are words given by participants at the streamed meeting.  1 Corinthians 14:29 says that "Two or three prophets should speak, and the others weigh carefully what is said."  1 Thess 5:19-21 tells us not to despise prophecies, but to test everything and retain what is good.

Scripture Reading at beginning of meeting, Psalm 100:1-5 - "Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth.  Worship the Lord with gladness; come into his presence with singing.  Know that the Lord is God.  It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, the sheep of his pasture.  Enter his gates with thanksgiving, and his courts with praise; give thanks to him, bless his name.  For the Lord is good; his steadfast love endures forever, and his faithfulness continues through all generations."

Scripture Reading Hosea 2:16-18, 21-22 - "That is why I am going to lure her and lead her out into the wilderness and speak to her heart.  There she will respond to me as she did when she was young, as she did when she came up out of Egypt.  She will call me, my husband.  I will betroth you to myself forever, betroth you with integrity and justice, with tenderness and love; I will betroth you to myself with faithfulness, and you will come to know Yahweh."

Scripture Reading Isaiah 5:18-24 - "Ah, you who drag inequity along with cord of falsehood, who drag sin along with cart ropes, who say, 'Let him make haste, let him speed his work that we may see it; let the plan of the Holy One of Israel hasten to fulfillment, that we may know it!'  Ah, you who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter!  Ah, you who are wise in your own eyes, and shrewd in your own sight!  Ah, you who are heroes in drinking wine and valiant at mixing drink, who acquit the guilty for a bribe, and deprive the innocent of their rights!  Therefore, as the tongue of fire devours the stubble, and as dry grass sinks down in the flame, so their root will become rotten, and their blossom go up like dust; for they have rejected the instruction of the Lord of hosts, and have despised the word of the Holy One of Israel."

Confirmation and Prophecy - I would like to confirm those two readings.  "My children, I love you greatly and I love your effort of trying to get to know me.  I rejoice in your praises and in your worship, and I love when you come with your petitions and with your thanksgiving.  They all bring me pleasure but that is not why I'm asking you to do that.  The Holy Spirit within you is urging you, is teaching you and leading you to do that for your own good so that you can learn how to love me, who is love.  Many of you and many of my people try so hard to please me, to surrender their lives to me, moment by moment, day by day.  Yes, I rejoice when you do that, but I rejoice even more when you can just receive, with no condemnation, with no judgement, with no expectation other than relishing my love for you.  Tonight, I desire that you may come to know the highest form of prayer is allowing me to love you in its fullness and in its completeness with unconditional love."

Prophecy - "Lift your head up to my throne.  Lift your head and look into my eyes.  See the love pouring, pouring out and flowing into your heart, lifting you up, up to me."

Scripture Reading Philippians 4:4-7 - "Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice!  Let your gentle spirit be made known to all men.  The Lord is near.  Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.  And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."

Scripture Reading Joshua 1:9 - "Have I not commanded you to be strong and courageous?  Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged; the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go."

Confirmation/Vision - Confirmation of the last prophecy.  The way she was describing her prophecy was very similar to the sense I had.  I saw all these balloons going up as we were praising him.  When we gather and we sing praises, it's like we're at this big party and all these balloons were going up into the heavens.  I just wanted to confirm that:  "lifting you up to me."

Teaching

Ron entitled his talk, "Can I Pray the Lyrics of a Song?"  The answer is yes.

A few years ago, Ron came across a timetable for reading the bible in a year.  Being very busy, he would be behind in his reading of the bible, so speedreading kicked in.  At the end of the year, he had read the bible, cover to cover.  The next year, he found a book in the bible that had less than 12 pages.  He read one page each month.  He read a sentence and delved into "what did that say?".  What was God saying to him?  This was the opposite of what he did the year before.  You couldn't speed read a love letter.  Have you ever tried that with a prayer; phrase by phrase, slow meditation over a few days?  And then, recite the prayer again, all together.  Huge difference.

Ron then took us through an exercise of going over the lyrics of a few songs.  He asked, "Can the lyrics of Be Not Afraid become a prayer?"  Can we pray these words?  No.  The words are God speaking to us.    The lyrics of In the Garden?  No, because we're talking about God.  The lyrics to Set My Spirit Free?  Yes, because we're talking to God.

Lyrics: I am the God that Healeth Thee, I am the Lord Your Healer?  We would not pray this because it's the Lord talking to us.

Lyrics:  Change my Heart, O God?  Yes, we are talking directly to God.  When Ron did a meditation of the last phrase in this song, May I be like You, it hit him really hard:  may I be like God?  No, it means to be like him, to love like he does.  "Ron, when you're praying with someone, God loves that person before you finish their name.  God loves that person even before you started praying for them.  He loves that person even back to their childhood, before that person was born, before that person was conceived."  The lyrics don't say, "May I understand like him," but be like him, through love like him.  God's love is unconditional, total, non judgemental, forever, instantaneous.  May we learn to love like that.
