The following are words given by participants at the streamed meeting. 1 Corinthians 14:29 says that "Two or three prophets should speak, and the others weigh carefully what is said." 1 Thess 5:19-21 tells us not to despise prophecies, but to test everything and retain what is good.
Jesus is always praying for us every day and every night.
Prophecy/Vision - "I am calling my children, my people." And there was a real sense of urgency with that. And I heard, "Prepare my children, for my coming is near." And I saw a candle.
Scripture Reading Psalm 115:1 - "The One True God. To you alone, O Lord, to you alone, and not to us, must glory be given because of your constant love and faithfulness."
Scripture Reading John 6:54-56 - He who eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day. For my flesh is true food, and my blood is true drink. He who eats my flesh and drinks my blood abides in me, and I in him."
Confirmation of first prophecy and vision/Prophecy - During the song, "Because I live," I heard these words: "Because I live, I know all, I can do all. Do you believe me, my people? If you do, raise up and do my work. Listen to my will. My Holy Spirit is there to help. Call on him. Pray for your family, your friends and your neighbors. My power will provide all that is necessary. Do not give up. Do not lose hope or faith. In these days I will show my power. Give me all of your burdens, your sicknesses and you will be blessed. My grace is poured out this night on you all, my children."
As soon as the praise and worship started, I saw Natalie, and I had asked her for intercession, but then I thought, well, I am going to raise up Natalie and her intentions.
Prophecy - "Now is the time to put your trust in me."
Scripture Reading Ezekiel 36:26 - "A new heart, I will give you, and a new spirit, I will put within you; and I will take out of your flesh the heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh."
Scripture Reading Psalm 54:6-7 - " I will sacrifice a freewill offering to you; I will praise your name, Lord, for it is good. You have delivered me from all my troubles, and my eyes have looked in triumph on my foes."
The sixth session in the Life in the Spirit seminar on "Growth" was presented by Richard. We need to learn how to grow in the Spirit, how to use spiritual gifts. Jesus was tempted by the devil and we need to be prepared so that we will know what to do when trials and temptations come. We grow stronger spiritually as we go through these things. Luke 8 - "A large crowd was gathering, with people resorting to him from one town after another. He spoke to them in a parable: 'A farmer went out to sow some seed. In the sowing, some fell on the footpath where it was walked on and the birds of the air ate it up. Some fell on rocky ground, sprouted up, then withered through lack of moisture. Some fell among briers, and the thorns growing up with it stifled it. But some fell on good soil, grew up, and yielded grain a hundredfold.'" John 15:16 - "It was not you who chose me, it was I who chose you to go forth and bear fruit." Practices that will help us: prayer, study, service and community. We need to set aside time every day for prayer and scripture reading. We can expect God to speak to us through scripture, thoughts, insights. It can be helpful to write down what comes to us during prayer time. Also, writing down answers to prayer can help us when another trial comes along. There are so many good growth books available. Regular participation at Mass is important. Being part of a Christian community like a prayer group helps us where you can hear how God is moving in other people's lives, where you can grow in the use of spiritual gifts, where you can receive prayer. Hebrews 10:25 - "Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another." Serving one another deepens our love for each other. Luke 12:35 - " Be ready for service." You have found the pearl of great price. Guard it and protect it.
