Prophetic Words & Scripture Readings at Live Stream on March 22, 2023

Mar 23, 2023

The following are words given by participants at the streamed meeting.  1 Corinthians 14:29 says that "Two or three prophets should speak, and the others weigh carefully what is said."  1 Thess 5:19-21 tells us not to despise prophecies, but to test everything and retain what is good.

Jesus is always going to be there with us.

"The last song, 'Just As I Am, O Lamb of God I come, I come - as we were singing it, I felt myself being enveloped with powerful arms, like the power of the Holy Spirit was enveloping me and surrounding me and holding me up.  It was a wonderful feeling."

Scripture Reading Acts 2:17-18 - "And it shall be in the last days," God says, "that I will pour forth of my Spirit on all mankind; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men will see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams; even on my bondslaves, both men and women, in those days I will pour out my Spirit, and they shall prophesy."

Scripture Reading Ezekiel 11:19-20 - "And I will give them one heart, and put a new Spirit within them.  I take the stony heart out of their flesh and give them a heart of flesh, so that they may walk in my statutes, and keep my ordinances and obey them.  And they shall be my people, and I will be their God."

Scripture Reading Acts 1:8/Prophecy - "You shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you and you shall be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria and to the end of the earth."  And I will also add, "For all of us in Canada, we will be God's witnesses."

Prophecy - "Rejoice and be glad for the Lord is near."

Prophecy - "I love you with an everlasting love and I have so much to give you."

Scripture Reading Jeremiah 23:1-4 - "Woe to the shepherds who destroy and scatter the sheep of my pasture," says the Lord.  Therefore thus says the Lord God of Israel confronting the shepherds who shepherd my people: "It is you who have scattered my flock, and have driven them away, and you have not attended to them.  For I will attend to them for your evil doings," says the Lord.  "I, myself, will gather the remnant of my flock out of all the land where I have driven them, and I will bring them back to their fold; and they shall be fruitful and multiply.  I will raise up shepherds over them who will shepherd them; and they shall not fear any longer, nor be dismayed, nor shall any be missing," says the Lord.

Confirmation of last prophecy - I heard the Lord saying, "Tell them I love them."

The song, "Purify My Heart" was very touching.  It touched me deeply.

Teaching

Fourth talk in the Life in the Spirit Seminar, "Receiving God's Gift", by Leann - Baptism in the Spirit is an experiential knowledge of how much the Father, Jesus and the Holy Spirit loves each one of us.  This brings to life sacramental baptism and confirmation, deepens communion with God and with fellow Christians, enkindles evangelistic fervor, and equips a person with charisms for service and mission.  Matthew 13:44-46 - "The kingdom of heaven is like a treasure hidden in a field which someone has found.  He hides it again, goes off in his joy, sells everything he owns and buys that field.  Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant looking for fine pearls.  When he finds one of great value, he goes and sells everything he owns and buys it."  Whether the treasure was found by accident or sought out, the end result is the same.  The person gives up everything in order to take possession of it.  Matthew 18:3  - "In truth I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven."  Matthew 6:25-34 - "That is why I am telling you not to worry about your life and what you are to eat, nor about your body and what you are to wear.  Surely life is more than food, and the body more than clothing.  Look at the birds in the sky.  They do not sow or reap or gather into barn, yet your heavenly Father feeds them.  Are you not worth much more than that?  Can any of you, however much you worry, add one single cubit to your span of life?  And why worry about clothing?  Think of the flowers growing in the field.  They never have to work or spin.  Yet, I assure you, that not even Solomon in all his royal robe was clothed like one of these. Now if that is how God clothes the wild flowers growing in the field which are here today and thrown into the furnace tomorrow, will he not much more look after you, you who have so little faith?  But do not worry, do not say, 'What are we to eat?  What are we to drink?  what are we to wear?'  It is the Gentiles who set their hearts on these things.  Your heavenly Father knows you need them all.  Set your hearts on his kingdom first and on God's saving justice, and all these other things will be given you as well.  But do not worry about tomorrow.  Tomorrow will take care of itself.  Each day has enough trouble of its own."  St. Francis de Sales:  "Have no fear for what tomorrow may bring.  The same loving God who cares for you today will take care of you tomorrow and every day.  God will either heal you from suffering or give unfailing strength to bear it.  Be at peace and put aside all anxious thoughts and imagination."  Repentance is an actual change of direction, a turning towards obedience.  It's good to go to the Sacrament of Reconciliation before the Baptism of the Holy Spirit.  Obstacles to receiving the Holy Spirit:  Unforgiveness, bitterness and resentment, pride, feeling unworthy, doubt, fear.  St. Vincent de Paul:  "You must ask God to give you power to fight against the sin of pride which is your greatest enemy, the root of all that is evil and the failure of all that is good, for God resists the proud."  Luke 11:9-13 - "So I say to you:  Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.  For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened."
