Prophetic Words & Scripture Readings at Live Stream July 12, 2023

Jul 13, 2023

The following are words given by participants at the streamed meeting.  1 Corinthians 14:29 says that "Two or three prophets should speak, and the others weigh carefully what is said."  1 Thess 5:19-21 tells us not to despise prophecies, but to test everything and retain what is good.

Scripture Reading John 16:23-24 - "Truly, truly, I say to you if you ask the Father for anything in my name, he will give it to you.  Until now you have asked for nothing in my name.  Ask and you will receive, so that your joy may be made full."

Prophetic sense - The words that stood out for me during that last song were "light in the darkness".  Jesus is that light in the darkness and we need to keep our eyes on him.

Prophecy - "I am removing all fear from all of you.  I am removing all fear."

Prophecy - "Know who you are."

Jesus is always in my darkness and he always keeps telling me to keep praying every night, every day.

Prophecy - "My children, I have purpose for you.  I have a need for you.  I know you do your best for me but do not stop fighting.  My peace is coming.  There is a lesson in all of this.  I will make it clear.  You will see the plans I have for you and the path I have for you.  Continue to praise me in the storm, the light is coming."

Words of Knowledge - Someone will get a job.  A house will sell, as you've been trying to sell for a long time.  God will bless someone with the money for an education, and God will bring many souls and away Catholics to church this Sunday.

Scripture Reading Psalm 92:1-4 - "How good it is to give thanks to you, O Lord, to sing in your honor, O Most High God, to proclaim your constant love every morning and your faithfulness every night, with the music of stringed instruments and with melody on the harp.  Your mighty deeds, O Lord, make me glad; because of what you have done, I sing for joy."

Scripture Reading Deut 28:11-13 - "Yahweh will give you great store of good things, the fruit of your body, the fruit of your cattle and the produce of your soil, in the land he swore to your fathers he would give you.  Yahweh will open the heavens to you, his rich treasure house, to give you seasonable rain for your land and to bless all the work of your hands.  You will make many nations your subjects, yet you will be subject to none.  Yahweh will put you at the head, not at the tail; you will always be on top and never underneath," ...... And I believe that reading is not just about monetary stuff; it's about our health, it's about so many other things.

Teaching

Fr. Bob Miller spoke about how to trust God when the storms are great.  Life is difficult.  Storms do come up.  Matt 14:22-33 - Story of Jesus walking on the water and coming into the boat.   In the middle of our busy lives, we must seek solitude.  Jesus sought solitude to be with the Father in prayer.  Our storms:  anxieties - job, family, illness.  We need to acknowledge the storm and invite Jesus to come into the storm and move in the middle of it.  Peter has the desire to trust the Lord and he starts walking on water towards Jesus.  When we walk in the power of God, with the strength of God, when we're in union with God, we can do awesome things.  (Matt 16:18 - It says we will be able to handle serpents, drink poison, heal the sick, use the name of Jesus to drive out demons, speak new languages, because we know the power of Jesus.)  Peter can't stay focused on the Lord.  He gets distracted (human fear) and starts to sink.  The lesson for us is Hebrews 12 - "Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus."  When we do this, Jesus takes away the fears and calms the storms of our lives.  Peter calls out to the Lord, "Lord, save me!"  We need to do this:  Lord, save my whole body, save me in my mind, save me in my spirit, save me in my soul.  1 Thess 5:23 - "May the spirit of the Lord preserve me; body, mind, soul and spirit."  Jesus challenges Peter to grow in faith, to trust God even more, when he says to him, "How little faith you have."  Jesus gets in the boat with them and the storm stops.  The boat is an image for the whole church. Start each day by inviting Jesus into your day.  Wherever Jesus is, there is peace.  Psalm 46 - "God is our refuge and our strength.  God is a present help in our troubles, therefore we will not fear, even though the earth should shake and tremble and quake, and though the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, though the waters roar and foam and overwhelm us and the mountains tremble with its tumult, God is in our midst."  God is in our lives, God is in our families, etc., and God will not be moved.  Song - "Put your hand in the hand of the man who stills the water.  Put your hand in the hand of the man who calms the sea."

Praise Report

David praised God.  We've been praying for some time for David's son, that he would find a job that would bring him joy.  He got the call today and this is a dream for him.  He has been fascinated and interested in outer space and he's been hired by Blue Origin, the rocket company that puts people into space.  He couldn't be more excited.  This is an answer to prayer.  David has not seen joy like that for a long time.  David thanked everyone for their prayers and praised God for answering and hearing our prayers!
