Prophetic Words & Scripture Readings at Live Stream April 19, 2023

Apr 20, 2023

The following are words given by participants at the streamed meeting.  1 Corinthians 14:29 says that "Two or three prophets should speak, and the others weigh carefully what is said."  1 Thess 5:19-21 tells us not to despise prophecies, but to test everything and retain what is good.

At beginning of meeting Psalm 34:1-2 - "I will bless the Lord at all times.  His praise shall ever be in my mouth.  Let my soul glory in the Lord.  The lowly will hear me and be glad."

When we were singing, "I just want to be with you, dwelling in your presence," I was really touched.

Scripture Reading Psalm 84:1-2 - "How lovely is your dwelling place, O Lord Almighty!  My soul yearns even faints for the courts of the Lord; my heart and my flesh cry out for the living God."

That one song we were singing, "As we worship you."  I just happened to pick up a book somebody had given me over Christmas time and it was called, "Holy Moments", time to make every moment a holy moment.  We've got a decision that we can have God enter into every moment that we're living, instead of letting it be a wasted moment.

Scripture Reading Habakkuk 3:2-6 - "O Lord, I have heard of your renown and I stand in awe, O Lord, of your work.  In your own time revive it; in your own time make it known; in wrath may you remember mercy.  God came from Teman, the Holy One from Mount Paran.  His glory covered the heavens, and the earth was full of his praise.  The brightness was like the sun; rays came forth from his hand, where his power lay hidden.  Before him went pestilence, and plague followed close behind.  He stopped and shook the earth; he looked and made the nations tremble.  The eternal mountains were shattered; along his ancient pathways the everlasting hills sank low."

I think the theme that struck me in the song, "Our Father who art in heaven," that he will lift us up.  If we lift our hands to him, he will lift us up.  And we are his children and we should be living that way, but I think it's also very humbling to know that he thinks of us as his children.

Scripture Reading Psalm 34 - Today's Psalm from the Liturgy struck me.  "I will bless the Lord at all times.  His praise shall be always in my mouth.  My soul will glory in the Lord.  Let the poor hear and be glad.  Magnify the Lord with me and let us exult his name forever."

Prophecy - "My little ones, remember always who your Father is.  Remember that you are my children and I am Father who will never leave you, never abandon you.  I am always with you.  Do not look at the future with fear or anxiety.  Look only at me and with me you will be in glory.  And my little ones, I will provide for all your needs.  I will supply all you need.  Do not worry."  The Lord is saying, "You look at the news and you wonder, Oh, what's coming, what's coming?  No, rather look at me and see what's coming.  I have only goodness and greatness coming for you.  Surrender your will to me.  Surrender your lives.  I guarantee you I will take care of you in every way, in every way: physical, spiritual, in every way, my little ones, I will provide all your needs.  Stay focused on me.  Listen to my word.  Take it to heart.  Believe what I'm saying.  Believe my Son is with you.  He died for you.  He paid the price for you.  How, how can I not answer his call?  How can I not give you everything when he gave me his call?  You are safe with me.  You are mine and you will be forever.  Never doubt that.  Remain in me and I will always be in you."

Confirmation - I can confirm.  I had, "Look to me."

Vision/Prophecy - In the prayer time yesterday, I was listening to a song about Jesus' name is power, Jesus' name is healing, Jesus' name is life.  During that song, I had a vision of a crucifix with the body of Christ on it.  And the moment he gave his last breath, there was like a giant, I can't even describe the word, it was like giant bursting open from Jesus.  And the words, "Every stronghold has been broken," was the words that came with that.  And the sense to me was when I pray for people, when I'm praying for people, I need to hold on strongly to Jesus' name and every stronghold was broken and our prayer will hopefully be much more effective.  And the other sense was, that confirms some of things in the last prophecy and the lady before that, talking with other people in the prayer group at home is that Jesus seems to be calling us to focus our attention only on him, not on the news, the weather, anything else.  He seems to be drawing some of us to focus totally on him.

Prophecy - My message is very similar to what we've just heard.  I felt the Lord saying to pray, pray, pray and he's always there with us, even when we feel like he's not hearing us or not with us, he's there.  He says, "Read the bible, speak to me often throughout the day.  Know that I am always there.  I'm hearing your every word and your every need and I will look after you.  Trust in me."

Scripture Reading Malachi 3:16-18 -  "Then the people who feared the Lord spoke to one another and the Lord listened and heard what they said.  In his presence, there was written down in a book a record of those who fear the Lord and respected him.  "They will be my people," says the Lord Almighty.  "On the day when I act, they will be my very own.  I will be merciful to them as parents are merciful to the children who serve them.  Once again my people will see the difference between what happens to the righteous and to the wicked, to the person who serve me and the one who does not."

Teaching

We heard a teaching by Max Lucado on "Humility".  Story of Nebuchadnezzar and his pride in Daniel 3 & 4.  Proverbs 16:5 - "The Lord despises pride."  1 Peter 5:5 - "God resists the proud but gives grace to the humble."  God resists the proud because the proud resist God.  Tips on cultivating humility:  1) Assess yourself honestly.  Humility is not the same as low self-esteem.  Being humble doesn't mean you don't think highly of yourself, it means you think rightly of yourself.  You understand what you have to offer, what's unique about you.  Romans 12:3 - St. Paul says, "Not to think of yourself more highly than you ought to think, but to think with sober judgment, each according to the measure of faith that God assigned."  2) Don't take success too seriously.  Deut 8:13-14 - "When your silver and gold increase, your heart will become proud and forget the Lord, your God."  Counteract this pride with reminders of brevity of life.  People come into this world with nothing and when they die, they leave with nothing.  3) Celebrate the significance of others.  In humility consider others better than yourself.  Story of child who got the part of sitting in the audience and clapping.  4)  Don't demand your own parking space.  Luke 14:10 - Jesus said, "Go sit in the seat that's not important.  And when the host comes to you, he may say, 'Friend move up here to a more important place.'  Then all the other guests will respect you."  One philosopher said, "Do you wish people to speak well of you?  Well, then never speak well of yourself."  Proverbs 27:2 - "Let another praise you, not your own mouth; a stranger, not your own lips."  5)  Never announce your success before it occurs.  1 Kings 20:11 - "Tell him, 'Let not one who puts on armor boast like one who takes it off.'"  6)  Speak humbly.  1 Samuel 2:3 - "Speak boastfully no longer, do not let arrogance issue from your mouths."  Benjamin Franklin:  "I developed the habit of expressing myself in terms of modest diffidence, never using when I advance anything that might possibly be disputed.  The words, certainly, undoubtedly, or any others that give the air a positiveness to an opinion, but rather I say, 'I think, or I can see or I apprehend the thing to be so and so.'  This habit has been a great advantage."  7) Live at the foot of the cross.  Galatians 6:14 - "The cross of our Lord Jesus Christ is my only reason for boasting."  Don't brag about who you know or what you've done, just stand at the foot of the cross and be reminded that the maker of the stars would rather die for you than live without you.
