The following are words given by participants at the streamed meeting. 1 Corinthians 14:29 says that "Two or three prophets should speak, and the others weigh carefully what is said." 1 Thess 5:19-21 tells us not to despise prophecies, but to test everything and retain what is good.
At beginning of meeting, Scripture Reading John 17:11b-12, 15-19 - Lifting up his eyes to heaven, Jesus prayed, saying: "Holy Father, keep them in your name that you have given me, so that they may be one just as we are one. When I was with them I protected them in your name that you gave me, and I guarded them, and none of them was lost except the son of destruction, in order that the Scripture might be fulfilled. I do not ask that you take them out of the world but that you keep them from the Evil One. They do not belong to the world any more than I belong to the world. Consecrate them in the truth. Your word is truth. As you sent me into the world, so I sent them into the world. And I consecrate myself for them, so that they also may be consecrated in truth." And Scripture reading Acts 20:32 - (St. Paul speaking) "And now I commend you to God and to that gracious word of his that can build you up and give you the inheritance among all who are consecrated."
I had the sense of peace. That peace just descended upon us.
Scripture Reading Jeremiah 19:1-7 - Thus says the Lord: Go and buy a potter's earthenware jug. Take with you some of the elders of the people and some of the senior priests, and go out to the valley of the son of Hinnom at the entry of the Potsherd Gate, and proclaim there the words that I tell you. You shall say: Hear the word of the Lord, O kings of Judah and inhabitants of Jerusalem. Thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel: I am going to bring such disaster upon this place that the ears of everyone who hears of it will tingle. Because the people have forsaken me, and have profaned this place by making offerings in it to other gods whom neither they nor their ancestors nor the kings of Judah have known, and because they have filled this place with the blood of the innocent, and gone on building the high places of Baal to burn their children in the fire as burnt offerings to Baal, which I did not command or decree, nor did it enter my mind; therefore the days are surely coming, says the Lord, when this place shall no more be called Topheth, or the valley of the son of Hinnom, but the valley of Slaughter. And in this place I will make void the plans of Judah and Jerusalem.
Scripture Reading John 1:1-14 - In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things came into being through him, and apart from him nothing came into being that has come into being. In him was life, and the life was the Light of men. The Light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it. There came a man sent from God, whose name was John. He came as a witness, to testify about the Light, so that all might believe through him. He was not the Light, but he came to testify about the Light. There was the true Light which, coming into the world, enlightens every man. He was in the world, and the world was made through him, and the world did not know him. He came to his own, and those who were his own did not receive him. But as many as received him, to them he gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in his name, who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God. And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we saw his glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth.
Prophecy & Vision & Confirmation - "Be still in me and I in you. Speak to me. Take me by the hand." And I saw Jesus holding a little child's hand they were walking together. And I can confirm the reading about the jugs. I, too, had that earlier in the week.
Scripture Reading Psalm 146:1-2 - Praise ye the Lord. Praise the Lord, O my soul. While I live will I praise the Lord; I will sing praises unto my God while I have any being.
Fr. John Burns spoke on "A Word from the Father's Heart" to a group of women. A link to his teaching was emailed to all participants.
Who is the Father to you? Because earthly fatherhood is broken, we may project this image onto God the Father.
God is who he says he is, and his promises and his words are profoundly liberating. Jesus took on flesh to show us the Father. God the Father chose us to exist, to be who we are, before our earthly father and mother.
People have no idea how beautiful they are. Proverbs 27:19 - As one face differs from another, so does one human heart from another. Each person is unique. God's love for you is personally unique. And God longs to be loved by you in your fullness.
Many wait for an apology from men who hurt them. A lot of time those men are not able to offer an apology. They don't know what they did, they don't know how badly it hurt, they aren't around any more.
Fr. John wanted to give us a gift and he felt God told him to write a love letter from God the Father to us; to search the Scriptures, to gather all the things that God has already said and to put them into one place.
"My beloved one, before I formed you in the womb, I knew you. I drew you with human cords with the bands of love. I fostered you like one who raises an infant to his cheeks. Yes, you are my beloved child and in you I am well pleased. I have chosen you and not cast you away. Your name shall be my delight for I delight in you as the bridegroom rejoices over the bride. And even though the mountains may fall away and hills may be shaken, my love will never fall away from you. I love you with an everlasting love. Therefore, I have continued my faithfulness to you. For I know well the plans that I have in mind for you, plans for your welfare not for your woe, so that I can give you a future full of hope. When you call me, I will listen to you. When you seek me with all your heart, I will let you find me, for I am with you. I will strengthen you. I will help you. I will uphold you. I will fight for you and I will not withdraw my merciful love from you. And so my daughter, my dove, let me see your face. Let me hear your voice, for your voice is sweet and your face is lovely. Behold, I am always with you. Do not be afraid. I have called you by name. You are mine. You are precious in my eyes and honored and I love you. You are precious in my eyes. You are honored and I love you. You are precious in my eyes and you are honored and I love you."
