The following are words given by participants at the streamed meeting. 1 Corinthians 14:29 says that "Two or three prophets should speak, and the others weigh carefully what is said." 1 Thess 5:19-21 tells us not to despise prophecies, but to test everything and retain what is good.
Scripture Reading at beginning of meeting, Jonah 2:3 - "Out of my distress I called to the Lord, and he answered me; from the midst of the nether world I cried for help and you heard my voice."
Prophecy - "My life for you was given freely without any cost to you, my children. I did it because I am a God of love and compassion. I want all my children to be saved and accept my Son Jesus, and the Holy Spirit that I have sent you again, this evening, to counsel you, to heal you, to bless you, to bless you, my little one. You need to do your part and listen to my Son and heed my Spirit; for they will give you wisdom and all the gifts that the Holy Spirit wants to give you. They are real. Believe in them. Pray to them. Listen to them."
Scripture Reading Psalm 33:1-5 - "Rejoice in the Lord, O you righteous; praise befits the upright. Praise the Lord with the lyre; make melody to him with a harp of ten strings. Sing to him a new song; play skillfully on the strings, with loud shouts. For the word of the Lord is upright, and all his work is done in faithfulness. He loves righteousness and justice; the earth is full of the steadfast love of the Lord."
Scripture Reading Luke 12:22-26, Do Not Worry - "He said to his disciples, " Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat, or about your body, what you will wear. For life is more than food, and the body more than clothing. Consider the ravens: they neither sow nor reap, they have neither storehouse nor barn, and yet God feeds them. Of how much more value are you than the birds! And can any of you by worrying add a single hour to your span of life? If then you are not able to do so small a thing as that, why do you worry about the rest?"
Prophecy - The Lord was saying, "Some people think that I am very far away, way out into the heavens. But I want you to know that I am very close to each one of you. In fact, I am beside you."
Scripture Reading Ezekiel 36:8-12 - "But you, O mountains of Israel, shall shoot out your branches, and yield your fruit to my people Israel; for they shall soon come home. See now, I am for you; I will turn to you, and you shall be tilled and sown; and I will multiply your population, the whole house of Israel, all of it; the towns shall be inhabited and the waste places rebuilt; and I will multiply human beings and animals upon you. They shall increase and be fruitful; and I will cause you to be inhabited as in your former times, and will do more good to you than ever before. Then you shall know that I am the Lord. I will lead people upon you - my people Israel - and they shall possess you, and you shall be their inheritance. No longer shall you bereave them of children."
Prophecy - "My children, tonight I desire you to know how much I sacrificed for you, for your friends. I want you to look at yourselves. I want you to see the suffering that is in your life. See how hard that is. Well, I did that for you, plus some. Imagine the whole world that you were suffering for. My children, I am calling you to surrender yourself totally to me, to unite yourself and your suffering to that of mine\ I am so close to you, as close as the breath that you breathe, for it is my life that I breathe into you that life. Focus on your breath, especially in times of suffering, See that I am within you, that I give you the life you need to endure the trials and tribulations of this world. You, my children, are victorious when you cling to me like a limb that clings to a tree. My children, I love you so much that I want you to be freed, freed of the heavy burden that beseechs you. Come to me, my children, come to me and I will give you rest, and I will give you peace. Believe that I am victorious. Continue to let me minister to you in my Word, the word that is spoken through Scripture, the word that is spoken in the daily sacrifice of the Mass, the food that I give you in Holy Communion, the peace and forgiveness that I give you in Reconciliation. Do not forget that I am present in each and every one of these situations. It is because that I love you that I have given this to you. It is because I love you that I have given you my church, my apostles, and all those that have followed my apostles. You, my children, are my chosen ones, and I have chosen you to be part of my heritage. The power that I give you through the Holy Spirit is a gift, a precious gift that I give you. Open yourselves up to these gifts so they will lead you in the direction that I am calling you. They will open you up to be ministers of healing love to those who I put upon your path. Do not fear the future for there is no future, there is no past, there is only the moment. Time does not exist but the moment. Let me guide you in each of those moments. Trust me, my children, trust me."
Scripture Reading Ezekiel 17:22-24 - "This is what the Sovereign Lord says: "I will take the top of a tall cedar and break off a tender sprout; I will plant it on a high mountain, on Israel's highest mountain. It will grow branches and bear seed and become a magnificent cedar. Birds of every kind will live there and find shelter in its shade. All the trees in the land will know that I am the Lord. I cut down the tall trees and make small trees grow tall. I wither up the green trees and make the dry trees become green. I, the Lord, have spoken. I will do what I have said I would do.""
Scripture Reading Psalm 48:9-11 - "We reflect on your faithful love, God, in your temple. As your name, O God, so your praise reaches to the ends of the earth. Your right hand is full of saving justice; Mount Zion rejoices, the daughters of Judah delight because of your saving justice."
Scripture Reading Ephesians 2:8 - "It is by grace you have been saved, through faith." Paul described the sinful and hopeless condition of humanity-dead in the water spiritually and separated from God. Moreover, we were disobedient to all that He desires and depraved-unable to do anything to merit salvation. But "by grace" Jesus made it possible for us to be saved, through faith, and this salvation is a "gift of God".
Chris Stefanick's interview with Fr. Timothy Gallagher on "What Does God Want....Rules for Discernment".
When we bring what we are to the Lord, every bit of our humanity, even the parts we were less happy about, God can use in wonderful ways. There is something that you can do that nobody else can do.
Lift your heart to the Lord and ask the Lord for guidance. Review the factors involved; what is important. Make your best decision. God never asks more than our best. Follow your decision through with peace. Review it afterwards and learn from it.
Discernment is essentially a relationship with God. You have to pray.
Be attentive to your heart and related thoughts as you're praying.
St. Ignatius Rules of Discernment: #5 - In time of desolation, never make a decision. Don't make any changes. #13 - Don't be alone. Find a competent Spiritual person to help you.
