We need to ask the Holy Spirit into our lives every day.  He can do miracles.

Prophecy - "My dear children, tonight I want to reveal to you my work.  I have great intentions, my children, to renew the face of this earth.  I am pouring my Spirit all around the world, upon each of you, my children, in a very powerful and strong way.  Yes, my children, you may not see it because of all the disasters, the worries and the concerns of each of your lives.  But through this, I assure you, my children, my victory will reign.  And tonight, I wish to show you the power is in your prayers.  I am anointing each one of you, tonight, with the gift of prayer and I'm asking each one of you to unite yourselves with all my children, here in this community and around the world, in prayer for my hand is moving over the earth and my power is ministering to my people land I will rebuild my church.  Rest assured, my children, that I love you all and that I will be with you in times of need, and I will be with you in times of joy.  And my people will come to know my love and they will come to know me in a more personal and deeper way.  So, my children, turn to me, tonight, in trust.  Hold fast to the hope that is there for you in the days, in the years and in the time to come."

Scripture Reading Psalm 62:1-2 - "My soul waits in silence for God only; from him is my salvation.  He only is my rock and my salvation, my stronghold; I shall not be greatly shaken."

Scripture Reading Psalm 5:1-2, 11 - "Lord, let my words come to your ears, spare a thought for my sighs.  Listen to my cry for help, my King and my God!  I say this prayer to you, Lord, for at daybreak you listen for my voice; and at dawn I hold myself in readiness for you, I watch for you.  But joy for all who take shelter in you, endless shouts of joy!  Since you protect them, they exult in you, those who love your name."

Scripture Reading Isaiah 41:13 - "I am the Lord, your God; I strengthen you and tell you, 'Do not be afraid; I will help you."

Teaching

The Art of Prayer - Brother John went to see Abbot Philemon in the desert.  He said that he was having a problem in trying to pray because he could not control his thoughts and they take him to places where he doesn't want to go.  Abbot Philemon told him that his problem was that his understanding of prayer is external.  "You have to enter into the heart in order to pray.  You cannot pray on the outside."  Brother John said that his mind wanders.  Abbot Philemon said that this is a sickness suffered by those who are external and it remains in you because your love of God is not perfect; it's all mental.  To love God, it has to be spiritual and there is only one way and that is through prayer of the heart. This is the way we should make decisions, through prayer of the heart. Abbot Philemon told Brother John, "You need to practice secret meditation in your heart."  This means to be quiet.  Be still and know that I am God.  Draw into yourself and be quiet, and then we will know God.  Abbot Philemon also said, "Do not let your mind be idle."  In other words, do not daydream.  Brother John did all this, but then, he lost it.  The Abbot said that happens to all of us.  "The important thing is that you have tasted the sweetness of prayer.  Go back and carry on."  Many people don't know about the inner work through prayer.  You can't just use the prayer book and that's it.  Duty prayer is what you have to do; inner prayer is freedom.  No set rules, no time limits. Pray with the heart sincerely.  Do not read a whole bunch of prayers.  Perhaps read only three, with patience.  Concentrate.  If you can't concentrate, go back and do it again.  Allow God to speak to us.  Prayers are not powerful if we only read them.  Remembrance of God is thinking of God from the moment you get up.  Say your morning prayers:  Better short with sincerity, than reading a whole bunch of prayers and feeling justified.  Jesus Prayer is a recommended prayer:  "Lord Jesus Christ, Son of the Living God, have mercy on me a sinner."  If you start your day with prayer, you take it into the day. You're conscious of God's presence all the time.  It's a hot line.  Slow down, be quiet and trust God to talk to us.  When you pray, enter into your closet and pray to God who is your Father in secret.  The closet doesn't have to be a physical place, it can be you.  Enter into yourself and pray.  Man is dual:  he is exterior and interior.  1 Peter 3: The hidden man of the heart which is not corruptible, a meek and quiet spirit.  From St. Paul in Corinthians: For though our outward man perish, the inward is renewed.  We have to train to develop our spiritual life.  Training is two-fold; outward and inner.  Outward:  Reading spiritual books.  Internal is thoughts of God.  We read books but we are thinking of God all the time.  Outer in words, inner in prayer.  Two kinds of prayer: exterior and interior.  They have to go together.  Prayer with others, prayer alone.  Balance.  Pray and don't analyze.  The spiritual closet not only embraces you, but it embraces everybody around you.  The power of prayer.  The kingdom of God is within you.  The whole of heaven is inside of us.  Enter into the treasure house that lies within you.  There you will find a ladder that leads to the kingdom, and it's hidden within you.  It is found in your own soul.  Dive into yourself.  That is inner prayer.

Sharing

Leslie shared Pastor Dr. Dave Alleyne's Affirmations of Healing:

By the stripes of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, I am healed.  I am strong and healthy.  My energy and vitality are increasing every day.  I open to the natural flow of wellness now.  No sickness, disease or infirmity can remain in my body.  My body is the temple of God. Greater is he that is in me than any sickness that is before me.  The Holy Spirit within me leads me to the right healing modality for me.  Abundant health and wellness are my birthright.  Thank you for my strength, my health and my vitality.  I am feeling stronger and better now.  Day by day, I am getting stronger, healthier and better in every way.  I love taking care of myself.  Today, nurturing myself is my highest priority.  Thank you, Lord, for the opportunity to balance my mind, body and spirit.

Praise Reports

Maria thanked everyone for praying for her son and daughter-in-law.  They had a son on Saturday.  The prayers were heard because her son had to deliver the baby in his truck.  The ambulance came as the baby came out.  Praise the Lord, everything is fine.

David shared that they had a tornado warning coming right at their area.  He was online in a call with three other Christians and they prayed, "Lord, split the system.  Let it go around us."  And literally, over the next 15 minutes the red lines on the map opened up and went around us.  He wanted to acknowledge that we serve a mighty God.

Patt said that something happened to her last week.  First, she went to the Mass and had the Eucharist.  Right after that they had anointing of the sick.  She sat down and she felt the Holy Spirit moving in her.  She sat for about a half hour.  Then he spoke, he spoke twice.  The first thing he said was, "You have suffered enough, Jerusalem."  Then she waited one, two minutes.  He spoke again.  He said, "This above all, to thine own self be true.  And it must follow, as the night, the day thou canst be false to any man."  The odd thing there is, easily, 5 years prior to this, a priest at the Friary when she went for confession quoted that exact passage to her.  And for two priests to quote Shakespeare; that's God's wink. This quote is the advice given by Polonius to his son when he was going to war.

Martha shared that things are working out with her son.  Thank you, Lord!
