Prophetic Words & Scripture Readings at Live Stream July 1, 2026

Jul 02, 2026

The following are words given by participants at the streamed meeting.  1 Corinthians 14:29 says that "Two or three prophets should speak, and the others weigh carefully what is said."  1 Thess 5:19-21 tells us not to despise prophecies, but to test everything and retain what is good.

At beginning of meeting, Scripture Reading Isaiah 56:1, 6-7 - Thus says the Lord:  Maintain justice and do what is right for soon my salvation will come and my deliverance be revealed.  The foreigners have joined themselves to the Lord, to minister to him, to love the name of the Lord and to be his servants.  All who keep the Sabbath and do not profane it and hold fast my covenant; these I will bring to my holy mountain and make them joyful in my house of prayer.  Their burnt offerings and their sacrifices will be acceptable on my altar; for my house shall be called a house of prayer for all people.

Scripture Reading Psalm 41:7-13 - All who hate me whisper together against me; against me they devise my hurt, saying, "A wicked thing is poured out upon him, that when he lies down, he will not rise up again."  Even my close friend in whom I trusted, who ate my bread, has lifted up his heel against me.  But you, O Lord, be gracious to me and raise me up, that I may repay them.  By this I know that you are pleased with me, because my enemy does not shout in triumph over me.  As for me, you uphold me in my integrity, and you set me in your presence forever.  Blessed be the Lord, the God of Israel, from everlasting to everlasting.  Amen and Amen.

Scripture Reading Proverbs 3:1-6 - My son, do not forget my teaching, but let your heart keep my commandments; for length of days and years of life and peace they will add to you.  Do not let kindness and truth leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart.  So you will find favor and good repute in the sight of God and man.  Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding.  In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.

Prophecy - Rest assured, my little ones, you are always in my care.  You are always with me and I with you.  Do not be afraid.  You have nothing to fear.  The Almighty is with you and will never leave you.  I will give you the right words to say at the right time, my little ones.  Do not be afraid to speak my word.  When I put it in your mouth, let it out, give it, share it.  Do not be afraid.  I will always defend you and protect you.  My Spirit will come upon you and refill you to overflowing, my little ones.  My love will flow through you.  My word will go through you.  Share what I have given you.  Use your gift and more will be given you.  You are my precious chosen ones, my beloved, my apostles, my saints.  I love you with a never ending love, and remember, I chose you. You have only to follow and obey.

Prophetic Word - The Lord asked me to write down something that is for all of us; and it's who are my enemies?  And quite often we look at who our enemies are, and he gave me a whole list.  I just started writing as he was giving them to me.  And he's asking that we all do that, but I'm just going to read what the Lord told me:  lack, fear, discouragement, illness, disease, loneliness, anger, lack of faith, anxiety, despair, gluttony, lust, lack of trust.  And the Lord said very clearly in my heart, quite often we think we know who the enemy is.  These are our enemies and we have other enemies.  And the Lord is saying, "I have given you authority over your enemies," and these are our enemies; these are the ones he gave me.  And we have the authority to tell them to leave immediately, in the name of Jesus Christ.

Scripture Reading Psalm 8:1, 9:1 - O Lord, our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth! who hast set thy glory above the heavens.  I will praise thee, O Lord, with my whole heart; I will shew forth all thy marvellous works.

Teaching

Fr. Chase Hilgenbrinck spoke on Recovering our Hearts from Blindness and Discouragement.

Pope Benedict XVI said that authentic Christianity  is the result of an encounter with God or his church that gives your life a new horizon and a decisive direction.

Fr. Hilgenbrinck said that the same is true about an encounter with evil.  It can give you a new horizon and direction.

The Desert Fathers said that the one temptation that derails the entire Christian life is the temptation of discouragement.  Discouragement and depression are just a little bit different from each other.  Depression is that demon in which I want to be better; I know that I'm called to be better, but I can't see the possibility.  It's impossible!  The power of discouragement is slightly different.  I have this obstacle in my way in my life, and I want to be better, and I see the possibilities but I can't reach them.

It's the perfect demonic ploy.  I can see what is possible but I'm convinced that my heart is too weak to choose it.  Discouragement means to steal your heart.  This is what the evil one wants to do to you.  He wants to steal your heart so that you can't choose it, to convince you that it's out of reach for you.

Fr. was playing soccer in Chile, South America, and he was falling into the lifestyle of professional athletes. He was going from mortal sin to mortal sin.  But the rescue machine was sent out.  In addition to going to Mass on Sundays, he felt he needed to go to Confession before going to Mass on Sunday.

So he would go to Confession on Friday afternoon.  Then he had Saturday and Sunday up to the end of the game living in a state of Grace.  He felt at peace.  He felt free.  He felt secure.  He felt he knew exactly who he was.

During the week, he felt insecure about his future.  He felt he was losing his identity.  He was fearful of what God would do to him because of his sinfulness.  When he went to Confession, he wasn't trying to reconcile himself with God.  He just didn't want to go to Hell. He didn't want to change.  He just wanted to be absolved.  He went to different confessors so that he wouldn't be found out.

One day, in a different parish, he met his match.  He knelt down and said that it was one week since his last confession. The priest, very clearly and very sternly, said, "It's only been one week, why are you here?"  Fr. Chase was frustrated with the way the priest talked to him.  So, he thought  I'm going to drop bombs, mortal bombs and he let the priest have it.  After absolution, the priest asked him how old he was.  "24."  "You're too old for this.  Do not come back to our church until you are ready to be serious about your faith."

Usually after Confession, Fr. would pack up and get ready to travel.  But this time, he just walked around town.  Something was stirring in Fr's heart.  The priest was a catalyst for Fr. to overcoming discouragement.  In the priest's voice  Fr. heard the voice of coaches.  "If you don't want to play, don't show up.  We believe in you and you're not living up to what you can do."

Fr. heard a priest who believed in him.
