The following are words given by participants at the streamed meeting. 1 Corinthians 14:29 says that "Two or three prophets should speak, and the others weigh carefully what is said." 1 Thess 5:19-21 tells us not to despise prophecies, but to test everything and retain what is good.
Prophecy - When the first song was playing, I got these words from the Lord that he's promising a new thing. He's going to do something brand new in our life.
Prophecy - "Oh my little ones, it's so true. You have not even begun to see what I'm going to do. Even through your trials, my little ones, you will know that I am with you. I am your strength. I am your courage. I am your God. There is no other. You are mine, my chosen ones. You are here for a purpose to reflect my love, to show my goodness, to bring my lost sheep back to me. Yes, my people, you have not begun to see my work in you and through you. My power, my glory, all will come and you will be my people."
Images/Prophecy - I kept getting all these different images. It was like different films coming at me. And we were following Jesus as he's getting ready for The Passion. I see us. Some of us are hiding. Some of us are trying to cover, to peek at him. And the Lord is saying, "My friends, I dare call you my friends for that is what you are. Do not be afraid. Walk with me. Walk with me to where the Father is calling me. You will find your healing there, my people, my friends. You will find your healing. But do not be afraid. I, too, feel fear for what is coming and my strength is coming from all of you, my friends, my friends who will not let me walk alone. Will you be there to wipe my face? Will you be there to help me carry my cross? Walk with me then I will show you things that you have never seen before. You will find healings that you have never ever seen before. But be with me, my friends, be with me."
Prophecy - "Again, again, I love you. I love you so dearly. I'm putting a new vision into your hearts, into your minds. Look for me as you walk your daily walk because if you're looking carefully you will see me move where you don't expect me to move. You'll see me love through you like you've never expected before because you are my Dad, my shining light of myself in this world. Oh how I want to embrace you so much, so much, so much. I want you to also embrace the people that you come by, with your love, with your smile, with your caring word because they will see me through you, my dearest, dearest, dearest, dearest children. I'm embracing you. Take courage, be strong because I love you and I want to love the people that you meet because they also need love. As my children, as my representatives I can love through you to them. When they seem to act a little strange, it's not because of you, it's because of me shining through you. My dearest, dearest children, hang on and remember I am with you holding your hand as you shine my light to the world."
Prophecy - "My children, yes, I have called you to shine my light to others. But my children, do you know that when you were created, I have poured my goodness into you. And this goodness need only blossom if you but recognize from where it comes from. And the more you recognize your goodness, the more I am able to love you into fulfillment, the more you are able to love others in its completeness. My children, there are many who do not know that they have that goodness within them. they cry within their hearts thinking they're bad, thinking they're ungodly. Yet, I, the God of love, live in these people too. My children, yes, you live with the human condition of sin but you have a choice, the free will within you to choose, whether you choose the goodness that lives within you or whether you choose to do things your own way for your own pride and for your own ego and pleasure. Tonight, I am calling you, my children, to reflect deeper upon this message, this message of grace that I have poured upon all my children around the world. Not one of them has not been excluded. Yes, my children, you may not see it in their behaviors. You may not see it in the things that they say. But believe me, my children, my goodness exists in them too. And this is why I have called you, my children, to recognize this goodness inside of you that I have given you, and to allow it to blossom, blossom into a love, an unconditional love, that people may know that I am God and that I reside within them. I love you, my children. Go in peace."
Confirmation/Scripture Reading Proverbs 24:17-20 - Do not rejoice when your enemies fall, and do not let your heart be glad when they stumble, or else the Lord will see it and be displeased, and turn away his anger from them. Do not fret because of evildoers, do not envy the wicked; for the evil have no future; the lamp of the wicked will go out.
Scripture Reading Eph 6:10-11 - Be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might. Put on the full armor of God, so that you will be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil.
Scripture Reading Psalm 69:30,32-33 - I will praise the name of God with a song. I will magnify him with thanksgiving. Let the oppressed see it and be glad; you who seek God, let your hearts revive! For the Lord hears the needy, and does not despise his own that are in bonds."
Bishop Robert Barron's talk on trusting the Lord was based on 1 Kings 17. Elijah, the prophet, challenged King Ahab because of the king's idolatry. When the king refused to listen, Elijah pronounced that a great drought would come upon the land. Connection to God leads to life. When we sever the connection to God, what happens is drought.
God told Elijah to go to the Wadi Cherith where he would drink the water and ravens would feed him. After awhile because of the drought, the wadi dried up. But Elijah trusted that God would take care of him. There are times in life when we feel pretty much dried up, the sources of life are no longer there. We're worried how are we going to survive, maybe not in a physical sense but in a psychological and spiritual sense. How is God feeding us? Who or what is God sending to feed us? God responds sometimes in mysterious and unexpected ways.
Then God told Elijah to go to Zarephath where a widow would feed him. Leaving one's country is always challenging to leave your comfort zone. At that time, women were looked upon as second class citizens and a widow was at the bottom of the social level. God sometimes summons us out of our comfort zone, inviting us to trust in his providence, following not our own instincts, not our own projects and plans, but his project and plan for us. At these times, be attentive to the people God is sending to us; be attentive to the people God is sending us. What is God's project for us?
Elijah asked the widow for a drink of water and some bread. She told him that she only had enough to make a last meal for herself and son and then they would die. Elijah asked her to bring him a cake and that God said she would not run out oil and meal. She trusted God and did what Elijah asked. The oil and the flour did not run out.
John Paul II - THE LAW OF THE GIFT: Your being increases in the measure that you give it away.
God is love. The more you give of your life, the more the divine grace increases in you. If you give the very little that you have, you'll find increasing in you 30-60-100 fold.
Scripture Reading Psalm 1:1-3 - Happy those who do not follow the counsel of the wicked nor go the way of sinners nor sit in company with scoffers, rather the law of the Lord is their joy. God's law they study day and night. They are like a tree planted near streams of water, that yield its fruit in season. It's leaves never wither. Whatever they do, they prosper.
Scripture Reading Proverbs 3:5 - Trust in the Lord with all your heart, on your own intelligence rely not.
Mark 12:41-44 - He (Jesus) sat down opposite the treasury and watched the crowd putting money into the treasury. Many rich people put in large sums. A poor widow came and put in two small copper coins, which are worth a penny. Then he called his disciples and said to them, "Truly I tell you, this poor widow has put in more than all those who are contributing to the treasury. For all of them have contributed out of their abundance, but she out of her poverty has put in everything she had, all she had to live on."
Luke 21:1-4 - He (Jesus) looked up sand saw rich people putting their gifts into the treasury; he also saw a poor widow put in two small copper coins. He said, "Truly I tell you, this poor widow has put in more than all of them, for all of them have contributed out of their abundance, but she out of her poverty has put in all she had to live on."
