Prophetic Words and Scripture Readings at live stream on April 22 2020

Prophecy:  I feel that the Lord is saying that we are his beloved ones and he is pleased that we come to him in this manner this evening. and he is with us.  He is right here with us.

Confirmation:  I kept getting the same thing.

Prophecy:  I kept hearing you chose me and the Lord was saying, “I chose you.”  That he has chosen you.

I could envision Jesus standing there, smiling down on us because even though the music didn’t quite come through right and we were all singing at different times, I think he was smiling.  He knows our hearts.

Prophecy:  I felt the Lord saying, “My people, repent and be glad.  The time is coming more, I’m going to bring many to you, many that need to be taught, many that you need to witness to.  The harvest will be many.”

Scripture Reading:  This reading is from today’s Mass but it was something I prayed with this morning and wanted to share with someone but now I’ve got a chance.  It’s from John’s Gospel and it’s just the lines where he says, “For God sent his Son into the world, not to judge (some translations say, not to condemn the world), so that through him the world might be saved.”  I felt the Lord was saying through that rather us coming down on others who don’t believe or don’t want to believe or whatever, to remember that God came  to save them and he’s saving them without us having to condemn or judge or anything.

Prophecy:  What I got just after the music, was just a sense of joy from the Lord that we had found a way to be together again.

Confirmation/Prophecy:  I can confirm that.  I had that same, it was almost like a flood of warm water over me, the Holy Spirit saying, I just felt nothing but joy.  I didn’t have any word other than “joy” and it was God’s joy watching us, each reaching out to him and making the effort and it was just total love for everybody and for all those who aren’t here.  This, this pouring out is love over this whole room.

Confirmation:  I can confirm the pouring of love of the Spirit.  I got that logging in that the Spirit was showing me that the Spirit was really pouring out and  I could really feel his presence.

When someone said that the singing wasn’t coming through well with this system, I was thinking about a story I heard long ago about these friars in this monastery.  They were singing and they sang all off key and everything, and a new person came into the monastery and this person was just like an opera singer, beautiful voice.  And so, when he started to sing, all the others quit, and the Lord said, “No, no, I like those off key ones.”

That sounds so far the joy I heard; when I just felt God smiling and loving on this group; what he heard was perfect.  He didn’t hear a note out.  Everything was together.  He was hearing everything just perfect and he was just beaming back joy.  I wasn’t going to say that until you shared that story.

Teaching

A sharing by Dr. Mary Healy on Activating the Gifts of the Holy Spirit.  She shared about her stepping out in faith to pray for healing at a conference.  She said, “The Lord is so good.  You pay a nickel and the Lord pays a dollar in return, but he really wants us to take steps in faith.  Faith is spelled RISK.  God is looking for our surrender.  He’s looking for our act of trust and that allows him to show his power and his glory.”  She prays for words of knowledge, asking him what specific things he wants to heal.  Sometimes, the Lord has her have people pray over each other who have never laid hands on anybody in their lives before.  It’s a new experience for them.  Very often, the Lord uses people who have never done it before to do an amazing healing because he’s so anxious to teach us.  Key steps to activate the gifts:  1) Ask the Holy Spirit to fill you.  Surrender to him totally.  Give him absolute permission to do what he wants to do in your life.  2) Go to people who are filled with the Holy Spirit.  Have them pray for you for the Holy Spirit.  3) Then ask and seek and knock for spiritual gifts.  4) And then, don’t expect them to just kind of happen.  Step out in faith.  When you see somebody who’s sick, even if it’s in the grocery store.  Ask, “Would you like me to pray for you right now?”  Do it in a very low key way – don’t embarrass them.  5) Keep praying for people even if at first you don’t see any results.  You might have to do it 25 times before you see the Lord do something remarkable.  We have to have our experience match up to the Word of God, not vice versa.  Dr. Mary Healy’s book is called, “The Spiritual Gifts Handbook”.
