Prophetic Words & Scripture Readings at Live Stream January 22, 2025

Jan 23, 2025

The following are words given by participants at the streamed meeting.  1 Corinthians 14:29 says that "Two or three prophets should speak, and the others weigh carefully what is said."  1 Thess 5:19-21 tells us not to despise prophecies, but to test everything and retain what is good.

Scripture Reading at beginning of meeting Acts 15:16-18 - "After this I will return, says the Lord, and restore the kingdom of David.  I will rebuild its ruins and make it strong again.  And so all the rest of the human race will come to me, all the Gentiles whom I have called to be my own.  So says the Lord, who made this known long ago."

Scripture Reading Proverbs 4:1-6, Wisdom, the Supreme Guide of Men - "Hear, O children, the father's instruction, and be attentive, that you may gain understanding; yes, excellent advice I give you; my teaching do not forsake.  When I was my father's child, frail, yet the darling of my mother, he taught me, and said to me:  'Let your heart hold fast my words:  keep my commands, that you may live!'  'Get wisdom, get understanding!  Do not forget or turn aside from the words I utter.  Forsake her not, and she will preserve you; love her, and she will safeguard you;"

Scripture Reading Isaiah 42:1-3 - "But now, thus says the Lord, who created you, O Jacob, and formed you, O Israel:  fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name:  you are mine.  when you pass through the waters, I will be with you; through rivers, you shall not drown.  When you walk through fire, you shall not be burned, the flames shall not consume you.  For, I the Lord, am your God, the Holy One of Israel, your savior."

Scripture Reading Psalm 33:20-22 - "Our soul waits for the Lord; He is our help and our shield.  For our heart rejoices in him, because we trust in his holy name.  Let your lovingkindness, O Lord, be upon us, according as we have hoped in you."

Scripture Reading John 12:27-28, 35-36, 46 - "What shall I say?  'Father, save me from this hour?'  But it was for this very reason that I have come to this hour.  Father, glorify your name!"  "The light will be with you only a little longer now.  Walk while you have the light, or the dark will overtake you; he who walks in the dark does not know where he is going.  While you still have the light, believe in the light and you will become sons of light.  I, the light, have come into the world, so that whoever believes in me need not stay in the dark any more."

Scripture Reading Matthew 5:44 - "Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you."

Teaching

Bryan Mercier, President of Catholic Truth, spoke on the Gifts of the Holy Spirit.  The seven traditional gifts of the Holy Spirit are given to us to make us holy and to build us up.  They are our weapons against the darkness and help us overcome spiritual obstacles in our life.  There are also charismatic gifts of the Holy Spirit mentioned in 1 Cor 12 and 1 Cor 14 among other places.  They are given to us by God to help us build up the church.  Jesus said, "I am leaving and I am instead going to send you another person, the Holy Spirit who will guide you and teach you in all things."

Charismatic gifts comes from the Greek word, charisms, which means favor or gratuitous gift, a special gift of grace.

1)  The charismatic Gift of Faith which is different from saving faith.  This gift is the faith that moves mountains.  It is a supernatural infusion by God to give you a higher form of faith.  You know by 100% fact that something which is revealed to you is going to happen.

2) The Gift of Prophecy which is the ability to hear or know what God is giving to you in order to give it to someone else; a message to build up the church in some way.

3) Word of Wisdom and Word of Knowledge - similar to prophecy.  It usually is only a word or two or three.

4) Healing/Miracles - God gives us the supernatural ability to heal in some way.  Sometimes, God speeds up the healing.

5) The Gift of Tongues - We are able to pray and petition God in a supernatural way; speaking in languages we have never known.  Sometimes, a person may be speaking in their own language but another person hears it in their language.  i.e. Acts 2:5-11 - "Aren't all these who are speaking Galileans?  then how is that each of us hears them in our native language?"

6) Discernment of Spirits - Where you have the ability to discern spiritual darkness and spiritual light, good spirits and bad spirits.  You have the ability to discern whether something is from God or not.

1 Cor 12 also mentions other gifts such as apostolic preaching or ministry or administration.

We need this power.  We need this fire!  In Acts 2, the Greek word is dunamis.  We get the English word dynamite from dunamis.  Jesus said, "When you receive the Holy Spirit, you receive power like dynamite."  The Holy Spirit works like a fire through bushes.   When we allow the Holy Spirit to work in our life, then he's not only going to transform us, he's going to overflow our life and let us transform others.  That is what Christ wants.  Pray every single day for these gifts, study the gifts.  St. Paul says to desire these gifts.  DESIRE, DESIRE, DESIRE!  Yearn for them, long for them.

SHARING ON TALK

Scripture Reading Revelation 2:2-5 - "I know your deeds, your hard work and your perseverance.  You have persevered and have endured hardships for my name, and have not grown weary.  Yet I hold this against you:  You have forsaken the love you had at first.  Consider how far you have fallen!  Repent and do the things you did at first.  If you do not repent, I will come to you and remove your lampstand from its place."

After the group prayed in tongues, this prophetic word was shared:  While we were all praying in tongues, the Lord revealed to me that there is going to be a tremendous healing that is going to come out of the meeting tonight, a complete healing for each and every one of us and for all those that we are praying for.  But he also said he's going to give us a fresh outpouring of the Holy Spirit.  But this video, the last couple of weeks, is not by accident.  The Lord is preparing us for the fresh outpouring of the Holy Spirit.  And he says, "Just hang on, hang on to the reins because you have seen nothing yet!"

Scripture Reading - "If my people who call me by name will humble themselves and pray, I will hear from heaven and I will heal their land."
