The following are words given by participants at the streamed meeting. 1 Corinthians 14:29 says that "Two or three prophets should speak, and the others weigh carefully what is said." 1 Thess 5:19-21 tells us not to despise prophecies, but to test everything and retain what is good.
Scripture Reading at beginning of meeting, John 15:11-17 - This is my commandment: love one another as I love you. No one has greater love than this, to lay down one's life for one's friends. You are my friends if you do what I command you. I no longer call you slaves, because a slave does not know what his master is doing. I have called you friends, because I have told you everything I have heard from my Father. It was not you who chose me, but I who chose you and appointed you to go and bear fruit that will remain, so that whatever you ask the Father in my name he may give you. This I command you: love one another.
Prophecy - "Yes, my people, even when you don't feel it, I'm working. Even when you don't see it, I'm working. I'm behind the scene to fulfill my Father's will. Don't forget this prophecy. Have faith and believe in me and my Father who loves you and created you. Call on my Holy Spirit who I left to you to help guide you in all decisions and in your prayer."
Scripture Reading Isaiah 43:1-3 - Israel, the Lord who created you says, "Do not be afraid - I will save you. I have called you by name - you are mine. When you pass through deep waters, I will be with you; your troubles will not overwhelm you. When you pass through fire, you will not be burned; the hard trials that come will not hurt you. For I am the Lord, your God, the holy God of Israel, who saves you."
Prophecy - "My children, I love you so deeply that I gave my life for you. Do you not know how much I gave my life for you? You cannot give what you have not received. And tonight, my children, I want you to receive, to receive my healing into the very depths of your soul, of your mind and your hearts. I want to break open those bondages. I want to break open those hidden wounds that keep you stuck because I am a God of love and a God of mercy. My children, do you not know that every time you come to me in repentance that I pour my love into your wounds? Do you not know every time you come to me in anguish and in pain and suffering that I pour my love into those very wounds as well. My children, I love you so much because I want to give my whole self to you in order that you may be made whole and holy. And through that wholeness, I am calling you, my children, to finally be able to give to my people what I have given you, my love, my mercy, my compassion and understanding. So, all the pain, the suffering, the anguish that you have suffered, has now been redeemed and you can rejoice and praise the Lord, and pass on the same good news to those who I put in your path. Go in peace, my children. Know the depth of my heart and my love."
Scripture Reading Sirach 22:27 & Sirach 23:7-10 - Who will set a guard over my mouth, and upon my lips an effective seal, so that I may not fail through them, that my tongue may not destroy me? Give heed, my children, to the instruction that I pronounce, for he who keeps it will not be enslaved. Through his lips is the sinner ensnared; the railer and the arrogant man fall thereby. Let not your mouth form the habit of swearing, or becoming too familiar with the Holy Name. Just as a slave that is constantly under scrutiny will not be without welts, so one who swears continually by the Holy Name will not remain free from sin.
Confirmation - I'd like to confirm the word, "Even when you don't see it, I'm working; when you don't feel it, I'm working."
Confirmation - I also would like to confirm that same prophetic word. I almost didn't come on tonight again because I've been feeling very empty and abandoned. And I know I'm not abandoned, but I've been feeling so far away from God, probably because of the brain injury; I don't know, but I've been feeling like that. And that prophetic words just spoke right into my heart. So, thank you for that.
The words that have been going though my mind are from that song, Light in the Darkness. And I just feel that Jesus is our light in the darkness. He brings light even when things are dark. Even when things are empty, he brings light. Even if we don't see it, the light is still there.
It was Session 3, part 1 - Building on the basic model, with Bishop Sandy Millar. Notes on the talk were emailed to all participants.
